"Mama!"
"Hmm, yes baby Freya?" I brushed my daughter's hair. We were in the bedroom, resting. After church, the kids didn't want to go out, so we just had lunch at home. We got takeout.
"I love you, mama!"
"I love you too baby, but mama knows why you're like this, you don't want to sleep this afternoon, do you?" She giggled because I was right.
"Because mama, I want to go to Tita Chevi's house, she has a baby in her tummy, mama." She said. We have a new neighbor named Chevika, she's pregnant, so my daughter is excited to visit. "Then I want to play with ate Chareleene," she added. I continued brushing her hair with my fingers while we lay on the bed so she could at least take a nap. Maynard was already asleep in Mama's room, so I left him. He might wake up and not want to sleep again.
"Go to sleep first, baby. We'll visit your Tita Chevi later. Maybe Tita is resting now to make the baby strong." I said.
"Oh, that's why. Like me, mama. I have to sleep too so Freya and twin Maynard can be strong? Okay mama, Freya will sleep now, I love you mama."

"Sing me a song mama! Please." I smiled at her. I adjusted her position and covered her, she hugged her teddy bear stuff toys and looked up at me, waiting for me to sing to her. I moved my body to the side so I wouldn't get stiff and started singing one of their favorite lullabies.

She slowly closed her eyes.
I continued singing until she fell asleep soundly.
"I love you baby. Mama will do everything to give you a good life. I love you and Maynard so much. Just stay strong, my children. We can handle everything, we'll just fight in the battle of life. I won't give up on you, just like you won't give up on me. I love you so much, my angels."
"Hello, Tita. How are you po? Hello ate Chareleene. How are you? I'm back!" We just laughed because of Freya's excited questions to our new neighbor and Freya waved to Chareleene who still couldn't speak because of a tragedy.
Chevika smiled at my daughter.
"Good day to you too, hi baby Freya. Come in." Freya and I went inside and sat on the long sofa. She just moved here to our area and my daughter is already obsessed with the siblings, now Chevi is pregnant, my gaze shifted to her still small belly, she's only two months pregnant, and she doesn't want to talk about the father. Well, I'm not in a position to interfere with her past, but if she needs someone to talk to, I told her I would listen. There's a man who visits her here.
At first, I thought he was her boyfriend or husband, but he's just a friend.
"Tita! Tita! When po will the baby come out? I'm excited po. We're both beautiful, right po, tita?" Freya giggled, stroking Chevi's belly. This child is really so friendly.

"Yeheey!" She actually stood up from her seat just to jump up and down while her hands were raised and her left hand was holding a teddy bear.
We talked a lot with Chevi, it's good that I have a decent friend here now. Donna, sometimes I can't find her at home because that woman is busy too. Caloy is the same.
"What is this Miss Corpez? You gave me a lousy job?" A furious voice greeted me when I arrived at the office of our new boss after lunch.

I don't know if I'm happy or not. I'll be happy because even without a resignation letter, I'm willing to leave his company. But it's not funny because I haven't found another job yet.
"Sorry, Mr. Sullivaño," I could barely pronounce his surname, which I haven't heard or said for a long time.

I took the files on his desk and brought them back to my table. There are a lot of them, so I think I'll be working overtime on this.
I was right, because it was already afternoon but I was still in the office, fixing the files that the new boss gave me. My friends went home early because they finished early. It's good that I didn't make them wait for me, they might be late too, I'll be blamed.
I called the kids and told them I'll be home late, so they already ate dinner according to Mama.
I was also hungry and just ate this biscuit that I brought. I don't want to go out to buy food, and when I come back here, I don't know what I'm doing again.
I didn't notice if the new boss had already left because I was just staring at the computer and documents all day. He didn't come here to my office table to ask or say goodbye that he's going home.

I leaned my back against the swivel chair and looked up with my eyes closed. I'm sleepy and hungry, my eyes hurt from being on the computer all day.
And when I calmed down, I immediately started what I was doing before midnight because I might not have a choice but to take a private car because I won't be able to catch the public transportation.

I was stunned for a few minutes, my forehead wrinkled as I looked at the papers, I couldn't understand anything anymore.
