CHAPTER 22 part 1 I thought I was feeling better, but I wasn't really. I still had a bit of a cold and a headache. Since I couldn't be near my children yet, they would just peek at me through the door like they are doing now to check on me. "Mama, drink a lot of water and take your medicine, my twin Maynard put it on the tray earlier before Grandma dropped by," Freya said with concern. "Get well soon, mama. We love you," Maynard said. I smiled at them both. "Thank you babies, I've already eaten and drank a lot of water. I've also finished my medicine. Thank you, my dear angels, I'll make it up to you when I get better, okay?" "Mama, we're just happy to see you without any pain, my twin and I are both happy, Grandma and Grandpa, Noona Ganda and Tito Caloy, we're not sad anymore as long as our mama is getting better!" I stopped myself from crying again because of what Freya said. "Of course baby, pray for me to get better, okay?" "We always pray to Papa Jesus for you to get well, mama," Maynard said. "We're just here in the living room, mama, just call us if you need anything. Okay?" "We're not turning on the TV so baby Freya can hear you, mama," I couldn't stop my smile from widening because of my children while trying to stop my tears from falling because I'm sure they would come to me to comfort me. My two angels are growing up so fast, I'm so proud of them. "Thank you baby Freya Mae. Thank you baby Maynard. Mama loves you guys so much." I said while giving them both a flying kiss. "More sleep, mama, so you can get well." They both said goodbye. As soon as they closed the door, my tears started to fall. Thank goodness, thank goodness I fought for my children. Even though I was hurt by what others said because of my early pregnancy, I just ignored it. Now, I am so blessed to have these two angels. Not just one, but two of them came into my life. So loving, caring, thoughtful, even though sometimes their personalities are different, it doesn't lessen their overwhelming affection for those around them. "Thank you Lord God, for changing my perspective on life because of my children." Caloy and Donna passed by earlier and brought food, so I had a good appetite and ate a lot for breakfast. I heard my phone ringing near where I was lying down. I reached for it, thinking it might be important from the office. It was Lorna. "Yes Lorna!" "Oh, how are you feeling? Are you feeling better or what?" I smiled because of their concern for me. Lorna actually called. I read the text from Lanie and Annaliza earlier saying get well soon. "Lorn… I thought I'd be okay after waking up after taking my medicine when I got home yesterday, but it didn't work right away and I still have a cold and a bit of a headache today." "Oh, is that so? What about you, are you not going to see a doctor?" "No, just proper rest and medicine and I'll be fine." I said to reassure my friend. "I told you, just hug and kiss are the cure for that and you'll be fine. Believe me, my dear." I just shook my head at Lorna's suggestion. "It's a side effect when you have a boyfriend, the kiss and hug from the boyfriend himself, Aubree," she added. "I'll just hang up because of your last suggestion, which is not and will never happen," I said, but the witch kept on teasing, so I rolled my eyes and smiled because of her annoying. "Oh, you said that because you don't have one yet, but if he's there, the p***y will be thumping." "Lorna!" But the witch just laughed at what she said. "Oh well! Baboosh, I'm going to make coffee to avoid sleepiness. I'll let you know about the files you need to file here, I'll pile you with a lot of documents, so you'll be busy when you get back to the office." She said, so I just laughed. "If I didn't feel this way now, Lorn, I could definitely handle that." "Oh yeah, I know you'll say that, you're different, Aubree Lynn is just a superwoman." She teased, so I laughed even though I felt my headache a little. After talking to Lorna, I went back to sleep to recover quickly and hug the kids tightly. "I love you sweet." Ryker whispered in my ear. I was lying on his lap while he sat on the big blanket we used to cover the sand while picnicking on the beach we chose to go to, not far from our houses. "Are you saying that because something happened between us again?" I asked, but the jerk didn't seem to like my question, so he flicked my forehead again.
