Chapter Eleven RONAN Now that Kara and I had laid all our cards on the table in relation to how we felt, a strange sort of peace settled over the house. Over the days that followed, we fell into a routine. Each morning, I headed out to attend to my pack duties. On good days, this meant patrolling with Noah or Jake, and on bad days it meant sitting through a seemingly endless council meeting and listening to the Elders strategize about this or that. Usually, I returned in time for lunch with Kara. Sometimes Kit joined us, or it would just be the two of us.
