Chapter Thirteen RONAN The next few days passed in a blur. I couldn’t keep track as days faded into nights. I sat beside Kit’s bed, the changing light outside the window my only source of company. Kara brought me food occasionally, slipping in and out of the room and closing the door softly behind her. I must have eaten, but I barely registered what passed my lips. Sometimes she sat with me, and together we shared the silence that lay like a thick fog over everything. I couldn’t even begin to face the thought of life without my brother by my side.
