Chapter Fourteen RONAN For the longest time, I stood on the porch, gob-smacked that she had ignored my commanding tone. I dismissed the thought of running after her. It was no use. I’d seen the look on her face before she turned away. Her mind was made up. We were both alike in that way. We made decisions and followed through on them.
