The drive back to Lily’s house was pleasant, with the sun dipping low on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the town.
Lucas and Liam, as usual, were joking around, their energy lighthearted and infectious.
Lily, sitting next to Maya, laughed along with them, the sound of her laughter filling the car.
"Looks like Maya’s becoming a regular around here," Lucas teased, turning around from the passenger seat to glance at Maya. "You’re practically a part of the family now."
Liam smirked.
"Yeah, at this rate, you’re going to have to start paying rent, Maya."
Lily laughed as she lifted an eyebrow.
"How can she be family but still have to pay rent. Wouldn't she have a room for free" Lily said.
"Her own case is different so she'll have to pay rent" Liam replied then laughed with Lucas
