Maya immediately regained herself and she hid her phone in the back pocket of her jeans as she looked at Lucas and she could see the suspicion in his eyes.
"What are you doing here, Lucas?" Maya asked, her voice slightly breaking due to fear but she tried her best to maintain a cool and calm exterior.
"I wanted to check on you because Lily said you were having stomach issues" Lucas brought out a small bottle. "My mum said this is the best remedy for such problems and I felt you would most probably need it."
Maya's face lit up just a bit.
"Thank you much" Maya said.
As she collected the bottle from Lucas, the small exchange where their hands brushed each other, there was a feeling radiating from her that made everything seem uneasy.
Maya attempted to leave but Lucas stood in her way.
