Present Day Lexa stormed out of the principal’s office, gripping the wooden broom so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Her jaw was clenched in frustration, and her dark eyes gleamed with rebellion. Punishment. She couldn’t believe she’d been reduced to this—sweeping the school courtyard like some janitor in training.
