Chapter Three Emma's POV Rolling to the side, my eyes flew wide open when I almost fell off the bed strange.I squinted immediately, took me a while to finally adjust to the light of the room. Tilting my head slightly to the right, I noticed an unfamiliar bedside lamp. Before I could process what was going on and where I was, a deep masculine voice resonated, making me jump out of the bed "Hi!" He greeted me and I just stared. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" He apologized and when I still didn't respond, he dropped his stare to the floor for sometime, then raised it again "My name's Nathan, what's yours?" I tilted my head a little bit and just kept staring. I had no idea what was going on. I didn't know how I ended up here and everything was just so f*****g confusing. Now that he mentioned, I didn't know what my name was hence why I kept staring "I'd leave you be. Whenever you're ready to talk with me, I'll be at the back" He smiled a little and with that, he left the room giving me the chance to take a very good look at my environment. I knew this wasn't my home, I didn't live here. But where did I live? I couldn't remember This place was small, and had nothing else other than the small bed situated in the very middle, a little vanity on the left side of the room and a wardrobe I doubt could hold up to fifty pieces of clothing. Knowing that I didn't live here, I tried to create a mental picture of where I actually lived and nothing seemed to be coming just flashes, blurry flashes so I decided to take a shower. That was surely going to help me calm down and think straight I looked around the room, there was no other door apart from the one leading in and out of the room. Who builds bedrooms without building a bathroom in them? There was only one way to find out "Why isn't there a bathroom in that bedroom?" Hands folded underneath my breasts, I asked. He stopped watering the plants and turned to me, a smile on his lips. That made me frown, I didn't get what was so amusing about my question that warranted the display of his dentals "So you do talk?" That question wasn't meant for me "Um... obviously" I answered anyway and rolled my eyes . It was his turn to be mute now "Hello? I asked a question. "Well I grew up to see it that way so.." Seriously? That's all he had to say? "Who builds a house and doesn't build a bathroom in it?". "The owner of this one, maybe you should ask him" he answered and I frowned very deeply "I am very displeased by this. I want to take a shower, how do I go about it when there is no bathroom?" I was getting frustrated and he wasn't helping matters at all "I would have told you if you asked nicely" he shrugged and went back to watering the plants "What do you mean by that?" He ignored me and trust me, that was very annoying "Tell me where the bathroom is, right now!" Silence! "Are you listening to me? Tell me where the goddamned bathroom is will you?" More silence!. After waiting for almost ten minutes, I groaned angrily and walked away, making sure to stomp my feet really hard on the ground. You would think I went back to that cottage he called a home, but no. There was no way I was going to stay at a place where I couldn't be respected and treated properly. I needed to leave immediately, and So I did When I came out from the front door, I discovered that the only building situated on this very large land mass was the one which I currently stood on its porch. But that wasn't going to deter me *** "What the hell?" I heard that voice that had become familiar behind me. I didn't want to raise my head to him as my face was red in embarrassment. I had been sitting underneath a large tree, not knowing which way to go. I was lost "Why did you leave without informing me? This place is dangerous and not safe, you know? I mean isn't it quite obvious from the look of the environment?" I had no plans of responding to that "look..I know you're angry, even if I find it very silly and petty but it's okay, I understand that you might be used to bossing people around and having things done for you, but I just wanted you to know that this place isn't any of whatever mansions or manor you might live in" At his last statement, I raised my head Sharply "You know who I am? You know where I live?" I asked, grabbing his shoulder, only when he looked down at my arms did I realize "Sorry! I'm sorry" I apologized and bent downward "It's okay. I don't know anything about you, that's why I asked for your name, but you weren't ready to say anything" He answered and I looked away. He was a stranger, someone I didn't know or maybe I did? My head was seriously messing with me "I don't know my name, I'm very confused right now, I don't know who you are, I don't know where I live, I don't know anything" I said frustratedly "Oh? The hit from the crash must have been really severe" He seemed to have been telling that to himself but I heard. What was he talking about? "What crash?" I asked "You don't remember that too?" And I gave him a knowing look. If I knew about it would I ask all these questions. He read it and nodded "Right! I'm sorry, it's just that the guy, he was about to ra..ahem! Let's go back to my home, then we would help you contact any family members" I stared at him for a considerably long time. What was he about to say?
