“You were saying?” I ask him again. Ethan froze completely, and I’m having a hard time not laughing, comparing him to a software that crashed.
“Soulmate,” Olivia says softly behind me.
“Yeah, soulmate,” Ethan repeats, starting to go back to reality.
“What about soulmate?”
“You’re serious Skyler?” Ethan asks me, his eyes still wide open.
“What? Give me a break, it’s a lot to take in,” I answer with a childish pout. I hear Liam chuckles in the back.
“Oh, shut up Liam. I swear I’m going to make fun of you if your mate is human,” Ethan says to Liam, falsely annoyed.
“Even if my mate is human, I don’t think it will be as difficult as Sky,” Liam answers with a smirk.
“Me? Difficult? What a joke,” I mumble, pissed at his comment. That only makes him laugh more.
