As the elevator opened back up we were greeted by the hotel staff who were overly concerned for our well-being and kept asking if everything was okay. Theo walked over to talk to the manager while I waited to the side. He glanced over at me and I could feel my flushed cheeks as our eyes met. His facial expression told me that what had just happened in the elevator was only an appetizer for what was to come. My body felt jolted towards him as he reached his hand out to me, escorting me out the front doors. Everyone’s eyes fell on us as we got into the blacked out SUV in front of the hotel and drove off.
“Is that something you do often?” I asked him with a hint of jealousy in my voice.
“No. It was something I just had to do as soon as I got you in that elevator alone.”
