Chapter 21

1819 Words

Waking up I looked around the room. The sun was setting and Theo still wasn’t back yet. My stomach growled and I remembered that Theo had texted me saying he would be back for dinner. But I looked at the clock and it read 8:05 PM. It was past dinner time. I made my way up out of the bed, closing the book and placing it on the bedside table. I slipped on a robe over my shirt and underwear and made my way out the door. I opened the door and the whole place seemed quiet, too quiet. There was no sign of Theo anywhere. I started to get chills. I made my way down the stairs and started calling for Addison. “Addison, are you here??” I didn’t get an answer. I made my way to the kitchen and opened the huge deli-sized fridge to try to find something to eat. I grabbed an apple and bit into it.
