Chapter Seven

“So this where you two have been hiding! We’ve been looking for you two for about an hour.” Dmitri came over grasping Rhetts shoulder moving to whisper something in his friends ear. The two men embracing was a sight, both completely different but each having the same powerful aura that could control a room.

I looked over at Lily her giving me a glance full of questions I would have to answer when we got home. Dmitri made his way back to Lily embracing her putting a kiss to the side of her head. They had gotten comfortable around each other very quickly, but who was I to say anything. Glancing over at Rhett he gave me a knowing glance, I watched in fascination as he reached into his pocket grabbing the scrap of clothing that just covered my private parts. Hiding it so only I could see he raised it to his nose and inhaled. Sending me a look of pure unadulterated heat that held so many unspoken promises.

My entire body turned the color of my red heels. I cleared my throat catching Lily and Dmitri’s attention as they seemed to be wrapped up in their own little world. “How about a drink?” I asked them. Dmitri removed his body from hers, taking her hand. “Sounds like a plan to me.” They turned heading toward the main floor Rhett and I following behind them as they led the way.

I ordered a cosmopolitan hoping that the vodka would cool the fire in my body instead of fueling it. “What were you and Rhett doing back there Eve, you both were gone for a while.” Another blush formed across my face, come on Eve pull it together.

“I found her in the mirror exhibit and she asked me some questions for the paper. Which they were ones that required a circumstantial answer.” He gave me a wink, I just decided to focus on my drink since it seemed like the safer choice at the moment.

“Eve what’s Lily and yours plans for tomorrow.”

“Well I have to work-“ before I could finish my sentence Lily interrupted me.

“We have nothing planned tomorrow.” She basically yelled, I already knew what she was doing. I shot her a glare trying to persuade her to stop her match making game.

He turned his bar stool toward me , his legs spreading out on either side of me, trapping me.

“Well you should both come to my club Nirvana it’s grand opening is tomorrow. I can have a driver pick you and Lily up. Dmitri will be there representing the company as well. It could be a fun night.”

“Sorry I don’t go out to bars.” My answer was short straight to the point and it was true I hadn’t been to a bar since I was a sophomore in college.

“You don’t go to bars? Really? And why not?” Dmitri asked me all eyes were turned on me at that moment.

“I just don’t, I don’t find them fun. I’m sure lily would love to go but me, not so much.” I took another drink from my cosmo feeling those eyes staring at my face.

“Eve might be 21 but she prefers to read and work over having fun.” She let out a sigh, my friend knew me, I didn’t like to party I just liked to relax and enjoy my alone time. Something about sweaty bodies mixing together on a dance floor wasn’t appealing to me.

“I think you should go and I’ll buy your drinks for the night.” Rhett told me giving me a mischievous grin.

“They were already going to be free, you own the place.” Making us all laugh. I found myself distracted by his neck muscles rippling with each laugh. A flash of ink peeking out from the top of his collar, distracted me. I wondered how much of his body was covered in that ink. I caught myself staring at him, his gaze meeting mine. He whispered to me where only I could hear, “Remember what u said about looking at me love.” I hid my face from him again distracting myself from what he had just said.

“Fine I’ll go.” I said lily letting out a loud noise of excitement. This is the first time I had agreed to go out in a long time. Let’s hope it wasn’t a bad choice.

A tall man in a suit walked up to our group greeting us and engaging Rhett in a private conversation. This piqued my interest, the man stood out among the crowd. He looked intimidating, his brown eyes analyzed the room, a large scar abroad his left eye making him appear scary.

He soon left and Rhett rose from his spot at the bar, “It looks like I won’t be riding back with you all, I have business I need to take care of this evening. I’m sorry Lily I have to take your date from you. The car will take you both home or wherever you wish to go.” He approached me running his fingers through my hair, and back around to my skate across my throat. He swallowed hard looking at my lips. I couldn’t help but lick them underneath his gaze. He grabbed my hand bringing it up to his lips, giving it a brief kiss. “Goodnight Eve.” And with that he turned walking away Dmitri following him.

Rhett was trouble with a capital T and apparently I was a sucker for it. I finished my drink looking over at Lily who held a huge grin on her face. “So you wanna tell me what that was all about.” Maybe it was because of the liquor or because of the events of the evening I found myself erupting in a fit of giggles pouring my heart out to Lily about what had transpired between me and Rhett.

Later in the limo headed to our apartment Lily spoke on the matter after I told her everything.

“That’s f*****g hot Eve, I mean really hot. And your telling me he stole your underwear! What exactly did he do with them!” Rethinking the night over I looked at her pursing my lips. I can’t believe the crazy bastard had done it.

“Well he put them in his pocket.” The look on Lily’s face made me wish I would of taken a picture. To see her looking as sheepish as she did in that moment was a real treat.

“Wow who would of known he was so kinky. Here I thought you were a prude these past years and the first guy you find attractive you let finger your in a art gallery. Your kinky girl!” I sat back in the limo seat looking at the buildings passing by as we drive through downtown Miami. The attraction I had for Rhett was unmistakable. Those eyes of his were a huge turn on for me especially those large hands of his that made their way down my body tuning it to his own desire. He had magic hands, that was a fact. After only a few hours with him my head was already hazy, I was so consumed by the man I had met this evening I couldn’t think of anything else.

Rhett POV

Normally I rushed off to handle a situation when duty calls but tonight I found myself wanting to pawn it off on someone else. The woman in front of me captivated me. Her blue eyes warming my frozen heart, making me feel something the first time in a long time. It was addicting to say the least. I had no intention of touching her body the way I did, but the way her hips swayed as she walked around that gallery trying to ignore me drove me wild. When I had taken her to the mirror room I didn’t expect things to escalate the way they did. When she had licked her lips almost like she was daring me to kiss her I couldn’t resist. I had ravished her mouth, her body reacting to mine instantly. The way she had begged for me drove me crazy. It was a delightful surprise when I had touched her core that it was soaking wet for me. She desires me as much as I did her.

The way her hips had rode my finger had me thinking of the near future of how I could get her to ride my c**k. The taste of her was intoxicating making me more drunk than any refined whiskey had ever done. My member grew, blood rushing to it as thoughts of the mysterious beauty Eve went through my mind. Dmitri broke my train of thought ruining my daydreaming as he talked about the matter at hand.

“Who was it that messed up the delivery?” I understood his concern unlike me Dmitri had spent many years training the lower leveled minions of the Mafia. Besides just me trusting him he had to gain the trust of my father and he had over time, putting in the effort to make us a commanding force in the United States and across Europe.

“Felix and five of his men. They claimed to be robbed on the way to the drop but a group I had tailing them found them storing the goods in a abandoned warehouse out in Mexico City.” That was part of the risk in the business we did. Sometimes members became greedy and decided to take the goods for themselves. It wasn’t as common as you thought it would be but sometimes it did happen.

“Damn I liked Felix.” He said lost in his own thoughts. We were on our way to one of the estates we had stationed outside the city. When we arrived a security team was guarding the entrance making sure there was no personal not allowed entry was able to get through.

When we entered the building we were led to the basement, where six men were chained to the walls left at my mercy.

Felix started screaming as soon as I entered knowing what would come next. I signaled to one of the guards telling him to loosen his chains setting him free. I didn’t like to kill people who were bound, I at least wanted to give them a fair chance. He dropped to my feet begging for me not to kill him. “I have no mercy for those who steal from me.” I grabbed him by his hair making him look at me. I took a knife off the closest table stabbing him repeatedly in his neck. Hitting his artery his blood sprayed all over me. I then carved traitor into his forehead so whoever found his body would know exactly what he did and why he had to die.

I took my handkerchief out of my suit pocket, wiping the blood from my face and hands. The rest of the men staring with wide mouths at me. I then turned leaving the rest of the mess to Dmitri.

He found me later in my office, I had taken a shower and changed. I had poured myself another glass of bourbon nursing the contents of the glass thinking on another business venture.

He walked in not bothering to knock sliding in to one of the leather chairs across from me. I looked at him, he didn’t have a lock out of place hair on his head. “How did you manage not to get a spot of blood on you while I looked like a used tampon.”

“Dude that’s gross.” He pulled out a glock from under his suite. I just shot them. I’m going to see Lily tonight and I didn’t want blood on me.” I gave him a look. He immediately started shaking his head at me becoming defensive.

“I don’t want any looks like that from you man after the way you acted tonight with Eve, I won’t be surprised if you have Andrew do a back ground check and get her number for you.” I had already done that but I wasn’t going to tell him that. Those blue eyes had driven me to near insanity where I was at the point of going with Dmitri to their apartment to see her again.

I had to wait though I didn’t want to overwhelm her so soon. I had to take my time with her.

“What are you going to do Rhett? Are you planning on actually pursuing her, what then, you know people are always looking for our weaknesses.” I didn’t know how to answer him I just knew I couldn’t stay away from Eve. She had bewitched me. I stared at my glass In front of me hoping it could give me the answers I needed.
