Lorraine helped Nicholas enter their off-base apartment. He was leaning on her, his balance completely thrown as he adjusted to his newly implanted hearing aids. He'd been relieved when they were told that it was possible for him to regain his hearing through new tech, obtained from Stark Industries. It'd had been just over a month since he woke up. And he was more than grateful to be able to hear again.
"How long do we have off?" Nicholas asked, once the door shut behind them.
"Fury's putting me on 'deep undercover op' and you are on official medical leave. He's not letting anyone but whoever we tell, that I'm pregnant," Lorraine replied, helping him over to the couch. "Why?"
