[Ava's POV]
The room was really quiet except for the sound of old machines hidden in the walls of the Council room. Avas boots made a clicking noise on the floor as she walked to the middle of the room. She walked slowly. Stood up straight even though everyone was staring at her. The Council was a group of powerful people who had been in charge of the territories for a very long time.
They sat in a curve facing her. The light, in the room was not very bright. It was hard to see what they were thinking.. Ava knew the Council members well. She saw the glint in their eyes.
