I couldn’t stop thinking about Jessica, her body, her blue eyes, and her perfect lips as it was stuck in my head. I knew I had started this and placed myself in a situation.
This couldn’t work out as it dawned on me that I had started developing feelings for her already. She was my student, so it was wrong and it just couldn’t work.
Ever since I helped her, she had always been in my office for extra lessons and the feelings started developing.
No matter how good I felt when she was around, in a week things would go back to normal, and we'd have to act like nothing existed.
Why did she have to be so perfect? I couldn’t resist the urge to look at her at any opportunity I got.
I knew how easy she was to be intimidated, and I felt it was my responsibility to protect her.
I wanted her, but I couldn’t have her!
I heard a knock on the door invading my thoughts when I paused, wondering if it was Jessica. It wasn’t closing yet, so she wasn’t supposed to be there.
My heart pounded slightly as my body built up the urge to touch Jessica once again.
“Come in,” I said, clearing my throat.
To my disappointment, I was shocked to see Tiana walk into the room with a very bold smile plastered on her lips like she had just won the lottery.
She stood there and kept staring at me without uttering a word. I hated her type of personality so much as she was a bully who would always get on Jessica’s nerves. How can someone be so miserable?
I blamed Jessica for always allowing herself to be insulted and not speaking up for herself, because she was far better than Tiana in every aspect.
“How may I help you, Miss Tiana?” I strictly wanted her to leave my office as soon as possible. I detested her if that wasn’t even an understatement:
She has been trying to hit on me since that incident, but she was the least of my concern.
“Oh, it’s nothing, I just came to check up on you. We didn’t make a good first impression and I don’t want to keep it that way. ” She said calmly, walking closer to me when I stretched forth my hands, stopping her.
“Why would I care about that? ”
“Go back to your class, you should be having a lecture right now,” I said, shunning her.
She frowned but then her face paved the way into a smile again.
“I don’t know why you’re so difficult anyway. You know how much I love you, so why do you keep on pushing me away? If you are on the good side with me, it could really help your position. ” She uttered with a very serious countenance on her face.
“Are you okay? If you don’t go back to your class now, I’m going to report you to the principal for skipping classes, and you’re going to get into trouble.” I declared, sending out a threat to her.
“Trouble?” She chuckled.
“Did I say anything funny?”
“No, you didn’t, but you should know people like me don’t get into trouble.” She said, chuckling further.
I won’t forget the fact that Jessica’s dad was a very wealthy business tycoon and was one of the sponsors of the school. This was what prompted her to be untouchable. Even when she committed tough offenses, she was always pardoned.
“I hope you know that your dad's influence won’t help you anywhere. With that being said, Tiana got out of my office.” I roared out with a cold countenance on my face.
“Take a chill pill. Why do you always act like this towards me? Is it because of Jessica? That brat! What has she used on you that got you to love her? Wake up, she is not worth it. I see how she stares at you in class!” She muttered gently, placing her hands on my cheeks.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, and I think you’d be smarter in your academics if you learned to mind your business. Look around, no one likes you.” I said, flinging her hands from my face.
She retorted, and I knew my words had got to her, and it was to my great satisfaction.
“Whatever she did to you, she must have done a very good job, it’s obvious that you’re blindly in love with her. So is that it? Is that why you give her preferential treatment in class? Is that why she scores so high? Because you love her.” She said with disgust evident in her countenance.
“I do not owe you an explanation and if you focused more on your school work than fashion trends, you might also get a good score.”I stared at her keenly, wondering how she got this sort of attitude.
She felt she could say anything she wished to anyone and still walk on a platter of gold.
“I know deep down that Jessica is not intelligent, we all know what she does behind closed doors shamelessly to get those scores,” Tiana murmured but loud enough for me to hear.
“Your presence here is causing me nothing but discomfort, so I would appreciate it if you walked out. And you don’t know anything about Jessica, so don’t jump to conclusions to give yourself value and think that you are better than her.”
“You can keep pushing me away, but I won’t go. Maybe one day you’ll realize how much I love you and how much I can’t do without you.” She said and blew a fake kiss into the air, sending it in my direction.
Disgusted, I brought out a spray and sprayed the area right in front of her.
“How dare you?” She roared out in embarrassment with her face flushed.
“I said leave my office.” I roared at her.
“I..”
“Leave!”
“But you..”
“I said leave!” I said, slamming my hands hard on the table.
I could see the tears that gathered in the corner of her eyes as she sniffled hard. But I care less about how she felt.
“I won’t let this go easily, and the more you push me away, the more pain I’ll make Jessica go through.” She spat out and stormed out of my office, slamming the door hard behind her.
