Episode Six

Andrew approached Miguel who was inside the garden as his back was against him.

"Miguel…." Andrew called but Miguel was mute.

He sighed.

"Look…I am so sorry I did all that but you have really got to understand me. That girl is homeless and desperately needs our help." Andrew paused to see if he would reply.

But there was none.

Not even a grunt.

"Alright, fine. I'll take her away." Andrew concluded and turned to leave.

"Don't…." He suddenly heard Miguel say.

Huh?

He quickly turned to face Miguel who had also turned too,his eyes as empty as ever.

"She is free to stay…" He added and Andrew beamed widely.

"But…."

Andrew's smile suddenly disappeared.

"But what?" He asked.

"She should not mess with my things, most especially Chase." Miguel conditioned.

"Sure. She won't.. I promise." Andrew assured.

"Thank you so much Miguel." Andrew appreciated and hurried off to share the news.

Eva happily checked out all her new outfits.

There were so many to choose from.

She wished she would be able to pull them all on at once!

Eva finally selected a blue shirt like gown with two deep front pockets and it suited her so well.

She got out of the bathroom later and a maid who was present in the room took the towel and cloth she had pulled off.

She probably took it away for laundry.

Eva slowly brushed her long wavy hair which still had its pretty look and shine then she took her time to admire Andrew.

He was the perfect definition of handsome.

His brown iris and curvy pink lips were so enchanting and his silver coloured hair.

Super hot!

Eva seriously wondered how old he was.

And their leader….the cold one…goodness!

She was definitely crushing on him at first sight but she knew she couldn't just keep up with it.

As in…he was just too cold.

Ugh!

She really wondered what turned him that way.

His blue coloured hair always seemed to sparkle and his dark eyes seemed to glow despite the emptiness it had whenever she stared into it.

His lips,it appeared small and cute.

Though he spoke coldly,he still had a mesmerising voice.

She wished she could hear him sing again.

Now she knew the boy band.

How about the girls?

Who were they?

Cassandra carried her fancy red bag pack all dressed up in a red waist flared skirt stopping just above her knees and a hugging red long sleeved top suited her so much.

Her lighting sneaker shoe glowed as she alighted the stairs.

"Hey Cassy. Are you ready for school?" She heard Tess ask.

"Totally…" Cassy replied and they all headed out.

Their cars rolled into the premises as students began to take out their phones and cams to take photos of them.

Cassandra scoffed.

Role models?

Tess and Dayne waved with bright smiles while Cassandra ignored them totally alongside with Ruby .

That was to say that Ruby was almost like Cassandra.

Cassandra noticed the absence of the Diamonds and came to a conclusion that they wouldn't be coming to school that day.

She decided to head to the studio after classes.

♠♠ TIME SKIP ♠♠

It was a sunny afternoon.

Eva laid on the bed feeling bored and lonely.

Gosh!

She turned on the bed again.

Andrew had earlier told her that it was agreed that she would be staying!

Right there in the mansion!

He had also made mention about leaving with the rest of the band to a place she didn't know about despite he mentioned.

Andrew had requested to know all that there was to know about Eva as she had gotten to know they were all aged 18!

It was a thrilling thing to know.

Eighteen year old boys living together in such a large mansion…and they are so popular?!

It wasn't something possibly back at home.

She was beyond speechless.

It was almost impossible for young guys to live alone and this large except they are the popular phrased Gb.oys…. and the E.FCC would definitely be hot on their trail.

Eva couldn't stand the boredom anymore.

She got off the bed and pulled on her slippers before making her way out of the room.

The last time she had wandered was after her first night there but now that she's free to stay, moving around shouldn't be difficult for her.

She closed the door, finding herself in a very long hallway with so many doors.

With slow calculated steps,she headed towards the stairs while scanning the entire place.

Everywhere was so quiet and neat.

She really wished she could find a library there.

Eva arrived at the sitting room unsure of what to do so she sat down and picked up a remote control well laid on the centre table.

But on second thoughts..

Was she really meant to start touching things?

Eva gently placed it back on the table and got off the couch heading outside.

She just needed to move around a little.

Her thoughts wavered to Ronney, Simi and Bella.

How were they coping without her?

Especially her lovely Nanny?

She really wished there was a way she could get back to Nigeria.

Eva stopped walking as she took her time to admire the beauty of the golden fountain before her.

With a fascinated smile,she reached to touch it when she instantly got electrified.

"Ow!" She gasped flinching.

“The hell?" She exclaimed in pain.

She couldn't believe they had to put such security to avoid it from being stolen.

Eva rolled her eyeballs and turned to scan the entire place.

She could see a small pond, medium sized grassy field, and the car park.

She walked on till she got to a garden house.

It could pass for a typical paradise from the look she could see through the glassy wall.

It was so beautiful.

She was tempted to go in but she knew that it was best if she just didn't.

Eva turned with a low sigh and headed back into the house.

"Come in…." Eva replied to the knock on her door and a maid walked in with Eva's dinner.

"Good evening Miss." She greeted and Eva only smiled.

The maid cardf6 placed the tray of food on the table at the room's sitting area then bowed, turning to leave.

"Excuse me please.." Eva called out and the maid turned.

"Any problem Miss?" She asked.

"N…no. Not really. I just wanted to know if..if they are back." Eva requested.

"Yes, they are Miss." The maid affirmed and Eva nodded .

" Alright. You may go.” Eva excused her and the maid soon exited the room.

A bright smile formed across Eva's face as she proceeded to have her meal in wait for Andrew.

They heard Chase bark and turned to see Miguel alighting the stairs with him.

"Going for a walk?" Jerad asked.

"Yeah.." Miguel replied.

"You should come eat soon, yunno. It's not healthy to skip meals.." Daniel chipped in.

"Not hungry." Miguel cut him off and made an exit.

"I wonder when he'll decide to come have his dinner." Daniel sighed.

"How about our guest Andy? How's she?" Jerad asked and he shrugged.

"Must be pretty bored."

"Yeah. You're right. Don't you think you should probably get her something to while away the time with? Especially over the fact that she doesn't have a school to attend." Daniel suggested.

"Hmm…I have never given a thought towards that. Thanks. I'll do just that." Andrew assured and sipped his juice.

Eva pulled on her night dress and sat down still waiting for Andrew.

She didn't know why exactly but all she could do was anticipate him.

A knock finally came on her door and she smiled widely.

“Come in!"

The door slowly opened and Andrew walked in as she got off the bed.

"Hey…" He cooed, shutting the door behind him and she grinned.

"Good evening Andrew…." Eva responded with a really soft voice.

"How's your elbow?" He asked and they both glanced at it.

"Much better." She replied with a shrug.

"Com'on..sit.." He urged and they both sat down on the bed.

"Eva,you earlier promised me something." Andrew said.

Huh?

"You said you would tell me who you are with no added lies." He reminded and Eva felt her heart skip a beat.

Location: CRYSTALS MANSION

Cassandra sipped her wine as she waited for him to pick up the call and he finally did.

"Hey! Miguel!" She crooned.

"Hi Cassandra. How are you?" His empty voice came on and she smiled dreamily.

"Never been better Miguel." She responded and there was silence for a while.

“Um…I decided to check up on you and the guys. You all didn't show up today at school." Cassandra stated her mission and he sighed.

"We had a meeting to attend today Cassandra. Quit acting like our Mum." Miguel scoffed and ended the call.

"Miguel…." She called in surprise but the call had already ended.

Cassandra stared at her phone screen, not so surprised.

It was a typical Miguel move.

"When are you going to notice how much I feel about you…" she muttered sadly.

Eva exhaled sadly.

She had told him.

Every single thing.

There was nothing she could bring herself to hide.

"Goodness!. I am so sorry Eva. I’m sorry I brought up old scars." Andrew apologized and she nodded trying to hold in her building tears.

She wanted to cry so badly.

Suddenly,she felt his grip on both hands of hers and she looked up holding gazes with him and he flashed her a smile that made her heart thump.

"You have me with you Eva. Definitely. I will do everything it takes in my power to make you happy and safe." Andrew assured and reached cupping a part of her face as she searched his eyes, tears falling off hers.

This time….tears of unbelievable happiness.

Her lips vibrated and she had to bite it to keep it still.

"It's you and I against the world now Eva." He muttered sending sweet chills down her spine and Eva didn't think twice before hugging him.

Andrew was stunned at first but quickly wrapped his arms around her nuzzling her hair.

"Promise me you will take care of yourself. This place has lots of bullies for our age, yunno." Andrew scoffed and Eva chuckled dryly.

"Of course Andrew. I know." Eva sniffed and pulled away.

"Thank you so much. I have never felt this good in a long time." Eva appreciated and he only smiled staring at her.

She was beautiful…..

Really…..

Something in his heart tugged at him every time he glanced or stared at her.

"Um..you need to get to sleep now." He said and she nodded.

They held gazes for a while before he got off the bed and headed for the door.

"Good night Andrew." Eva said and he paused glancing at her.

"Sleep tight Princess."

With that,he left.

Eva smiled widely, feeling so warm and fuzzy within.

It was a sweet feeling she loved to hold on to for a very long time..

#Morning…..

They were all having breakfast at the table.

Everyone, including Miguel, which was a miracle, as he hardly ever appeared at the table for breakfast most of the time.

As they ate, Daniel’s phone beeped continuously at short intervals.

He operated it while still eating.

“Whoa! Guess what, guys?” he asked excitedly, and they all faced him.

Well,except Miguel, who remained focused on his meal.

“What? One of your numerous girlfriends is pregnant?” Andrew asked with a grin.

“Nahh…” Daniel laughed.

“This one’s way more interesting… The Crystals are coming over… tomorrow!” he announced.

“Whoa!”

“That’s surprising.” Andrew chuckled.

“Sounds like so much fun is loading, I’ll say.” Jerad laughed, while Miguel simply sipped from his glass.

“I’m done,” Miguel stated, and they all turned to him.

He got off his seat and walked out of the dining area.

“Is he okay?” Jerad asked.

“Tell me a day Miguel has ever been okay,” Daniel said, putting his phone aside.

Andrew simply remained silent, staring at his plate.

Eva was at the balcony when she heard a soft knock on her room door.

She immediately smiled.

The only person who’d knock at that moment had to be Andrew.

Eva walked back into the room and opened the door and before her as expected stood Andrew, who somehow looked more attractive that morning or maybe her mind was starting to play tricks on her.

“Hello?” Andrew called again this time,his voice penetrated her trance.

“Oh!” Eva gasped.

" Oh my! I’m so sorry. Please, come in,” Eva quickly apologized, stepping aside and Andrew walked in, clearly amused.

Eva shut the door and faced him.

“Good morning,” she finally muttered, and he smiled.

“How was your night?” he asked, and she smiled.

“Enjoyable,” Eva replied, and he nodded, then extended the books he was holding to her.

She took them, glancing at the covers.

Two novels.

Both in the romance genre.

“I thought maybe you’d be bored, staying here alone with nothing to do. So I got you those books. Once you’re done, I’ll get you more or even something better,” Andrew said.

“Thanks a lot. I just don’t know how to show how appreciative I am right now,” Eva sighed, and he only smiled.

She kept the books aside, and they headed to sit on the couch.

“You guys aren’t going anywhere today?” Eva asked.

“Nope.”

" And because of that,I’m all yours.” Andrew grinned and winked at her.

Eva quickly looked away, feeling her face flush up.

“Smiling suits you so much, y’know,” Andrew said, noticing how shy she suddenly became.

He gently held her hands and she froze.

Eva looked up.

Their gazes locked.

Andrew glanced at her lips, the tension building almost unbearably.

Every part of him wanted to pull her close to do anything and everything with her.

Eva, on the other hand, could feel the heat between them.

The way he stared at her made her skin crawl.

In a really good way.

She felt like a precious artifact being scrutinized for its heavenly beauty.

The feeling was… sweet.

“The girls are coming over,” Andrew said suddenly, snapping her from her thoughts.

“Huh?”

“I mean the Crystals,” he smiled.

“Oh my! Seriously?” Eva asked, amazed. He nodded.

“Yeah. Tomorrow,” he added.

“I promise to stay out of the way,” Eva said with a smile.

“What do you mean? You’re free to join in the fun, Eva,” Andrew assured, but she shook her head.

“I’ll pass. It wouldn’t really seem so nice,” she muttered.

“Well, if you say so,” he said with a nod.

“I’ll be taking you out of the mansion for a while later tomorrow. You need to get around, y’know,” Andrew said, and Eva beamed happily.

“Seriously?!”

“Yeah! We’ll go anywhere you find amazing. Tomorrow is just for you, Eva. for us.” He grinned.

“Sure…Thanks for everything, Andrew,” Eva said gently, and he smiled.

“Um, I’ll leave you to your books now,” he said, rising from the couch.

She nodded, and Andrew made his way out of the room.

Eva let out a long sigh, feeling deeply content and happy.

After dinner, Eva felt bored.

She had finished a book during the day and didn’t feel like reading the second one just yet.

Exhaling, she got off the bed, adjusted her nightdress, and stepped out of the room.

The hallway was silent and shone under bright white light.

She suspected everyone was already in their rooms by now.

Descending the stairs, Eva admired the mansion.

It was large.

Grand.

And somehow, she felt lucky to be staying with the Diamonds, not some kind of random strangers.

She paused halfway down the stairs as her thoughts drifted to the girls coming over tomorrow.

What was it going to be like?

Would they be sweet and loving like the guys or the complete opposite?

In her trance, Eva heard a bark and she froze in shock.

Her heart rate doubled.

Slowly, she turned to see a white wolf-dog at the foot of the stairs.

Her heart nearly leapt out of her chest.

No…

Her brain screamed.

She took a step back and the dog advanced.

“No… no… don’t come close…” Eva panicked, backing away as the dog rushed at her.

“Ahhh!” she screamed, falling on her butt, squeezing her eyes shut bracing for the worst.

She wished she never left her room.

She wished…

“Chase!”

That voice cut through the air like lightning.

Authoritative.

Calm…Powerful.

Her eyes flew open.

There he stood too,at the foot of the stairs.

Miguel.

The dog was inches from her when it stopped and turned to Miguel.

“Back here.”

" Now!” he ordered firmly.

The dog looked once more at Eva before walking back to its master.

Eva’s heart slowly steadied as she stared at Miguel.

He, in turn, stared at her and began ascending the stairs.

She didn’t move.

She felt paralyzed,probably from fear.

Or maybe from something else.

His dog walked loyally by his side and when he reached her, he paused.

Eva gulped hard as he stared down at her then scoffed.

“You’re really lucky. Maybe next time, you’ll learn to stop snooping around,” Miguel said coldly, then walked on.

Eva stared, shocked.

Did..did he really just say that?

After his pet almost ate her alive!?

She sighed, pulling herself up.

That was enough shock for one night.

As Eva climbed back upstairs to her room, something caught her attention.

Soft piano keys…

She froze.

It was beautiful.

Hypnotic.

She found herself following the sound and it brought her to the door of the room right next to hers!?

Eva gasped, covering her mouth in awe at how serene the keys sounded and almost immediately,a melodious voice followed… and it gave her chills.

She could recognize that voice anywhere.

Miguel.

Eva leaned her ear against the door, listening.

He was singing a cover for Faded by Alan Walker.

And boy!

He sang so well like he'd written it.

The hell?

🎶 You were the shadow to my light, did you see us?

Another star, you fade away… afraid our aim is out of sight

Wanna see us… align… 🎶

🎶 Where are you now...? 🎶

Eva’s heart ached.

The song reminded Eva of her late parents.

Of Ronnie.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she stepped back listening.

Everything it held was all about pain.

So much pain that was enough to wreck her.

🎶 I'm faded… I’m faded… so lost… I’m faded… 🎶

🎶 *These shallow waters never met what I needed…

I’m letting go… a deeper dive…eternal silence of the sea ..i'm breathing…a life ..🎶

Eva turned quickly heading into her room and she shut the door quietly,rushing to her bed flopping on it as she cuddled her pillow while the song silently filled her room .

Ugh!

He was deeply torturing her!

What really made him decide to sing such a song?

And with so much emotion put into it?

Thankfully,it finally ended.

The torture.

Eva sniffed, wiping her teary eyes.

There was a peaceful silence after that song as it seemed as if he never left the room.

Eva laid back on her bed waiting till she would hear the door open but it never happened and she soon slept off.
