#WEDNESDAY…..
LOCATION: DIAMOND HIGH
Every student who wanted to watch the contest's ongoing progress were already gathered at the five thousand sitting capacity school auditorium.
Then all the contestants were seated in the first row closer to the stage,ready to be called upon.
Soon, Mrs Xavier who is the main anchor of the contest stepped out ready to address everyone.
"Good afternoon students!" She greeted and got a massive response which made her smile brightly.
"So ..as you all know,we are about to round up the very first stage of this year's Miss Diamond contest.” She began getting their undivided attention.
" Our eight lucky contestants were given their first quest last week which lasted for three days known as the neatness quest. Whereby they had to stay neat and presentable at all times. And then, the second was about a summary work where they were given a book to read and summarize."
"And now,three contestants will be evicted…sadly." Mrs Xavier said and paused, allowing the students to have their reactions to the announcement.
"Over to the judges." She finally said and all attention shifted to the high table.
A man wearing glasses adjusted on his seat, clearing his throat.
"Good day everyone."
"First of all, during the neatness quest our contestants did perform really great. Each would be scored over fifty percent and another fifty percent over the summary." He announced.
"During the neatness quest, Miss Ivan came out with 37%" He announced and some students applauded her.
"Miss Clark….28%"
"Miss Bieber 49%"
"Miss Shaw….40%"
"Miss Rick….43%"
"Miss Cassandra…45%"....
Wait….what!?
Cassandra's expression changed instantly as he kept calling scores and she turned glaring at Eva.
At the end of the neatness quest,Eva had emerged the highest overall.
How come!?
She literally dumped paint on her and they didn't even consider that as a flaw?
Oh well,that didn't really bother Cassandra.
She had other plans.
Another judge took the mic.
"Over to the summary quest. We judges have carefully gone through the works of each and every contestant who had submitted their work."
"In this quest, Miss Ivan had a total of 15%..."
"Miss Clark…5%.."
"Miss Shaw…40%"
"Miss Rick…30%"
"Miss Len…42%"
"Miss Cassandra…46%"
"And Miss Angels….30%"
Eva's blood suddenly ran cold as fear enveloped her.
She didn't hear her score.
"But…." Eva spoke up as she sprang to her feet.
"I did mine. I submitted my work yesterday." Eva said and murmurs began in the hall.
"Well …we didn't see it. And it means that you didn't attempt it." The male judge said with a sarcastic tone and Eva shook her head.
"No…. no…" she muttered.
She was so sure she did it.
She submitted the damn thing so what was going on!?
Just then,the door opened and some people stepped into the hall.
"Wait!...."
A steel-like voice boomed through the hall from the entrance and everyone turned to see the Diamonds.
Miguel was the one who had spoken up.
‘...O MY GOSH!...’
‘... IT'S MIGUEL!.... AND THE REST OF THE BAND…’
“...WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE?...’
"... THEY'RE SO HOTTTTT…’
Miguel led them as they walked towards the stage.
Cassandra was happy to see him.
He actually decided to show up.
But her joy was instantly short-lived the moment she glanced at his hand to see him holding a scanty booklet.
A similar type that was given to each of them to summarize with.
"I found this…. somewhere." Miguel spoke up, lifting the material and Eva rushed down to where he stood and quickly took it.
Nothing mattered at that moment.
She wanted to just find her summary work.
The moment she ran her eyes through it with students watching quietly,Eva gasped palming her mouth the moment she confirmed the content.
"This is mine!" Eva squealed and spun on her heels rushing towards the judges table.
‘.. what's going on?..’
‘...where did he get that?...’
‘...I smell foul play…’
Students murmured quietly within themselves.
Cassandra groaned in deep annoyance.
Aargh!
Miguel had just stepped in only to spoil her almost successful work.
She was this close to getting rid of Eva in the contest!
The judges went through the booklet, confirming it authentic and Eva heaved a huge sigh of relief and went back to her position.
Mrs Xavier had a huge smile on as the Diamonds headed for their special seats.
The judges took Eva's score and Mrs Xavier decided to conclude the announcement.
"And now…Miss Eva….50%"
Whoa!
Loud cheers rented the air and Eva grinned widely while Cassandra hissed terribly.
"Now,at the end of these quests,Miss Eva is the winner with a total of 99%!" Mrs Xavier announced and there was a wild ovation.
"Making it over to the next round known as the quarter finals is….."
The screen popped up with a name.
'MISS SHAW' followed by 'MISS LEN'
'MISS RICK'
'MISS CASSANDRA '
and….
'MISS BIEBER '.
"During the next round,it would turn out to be a little bit challenging and the quests are…."
The screen revealed it.

Wow!
Eva was amazed.
She aspired to be a model and this posed as a great chance for her to get herself trained and also ,get a little taste of what it feels like to be an actual model.
"Congratulations." Mrs Xavier said and gave the successful contestants a handshake.
Eva glanced at Miguel and their eyes met.
She knew she really needed to thank him after he had helped her greatly.
She was about to make a move when they all got up making an exit.
Hm…
“I'll just tell him at home then." Eva mumbled inaudibly to herself and got down the stage as students began to surround her.
"Gosh! You are so awesome!" One shrieked.
"We love you!" Another added.
“How smart are you? You legit killed the summary quest!" One squealed and Eva chuckled.
Mary pushed her way through the students and finally got to Eva's side.
"Alright…alright…let her be…"
“Thank you..thank you." Mary said and dragged Eva with her till they had gotten out of the auditorium.
"Goodness Eva! You are so lucky! Imagine what Miguel did today. Whoa!" She exclaimed.
"I am also stunned Mary. I never really expected it." Eva sighed and she giggled.
"I am so happy for you Eva!"

Mrs Lee scuttled into the classroom as everyone lit up in their moods and greeted her.
"My goodness! I am highly surprised! Eva darling…please step out." She urged with a wide grin and Eva slowly got off her seat and headed out before the entire class.
Mrs Lee held her so close and tight.
"I am highly proud today. My class representative is not only contesting but also coming out as the best! Aigoo! I am deeply proud of you Eva." She cooed and slightly drew Eva's cheek and she blushed.
Now that was one heck of affectionate display.

LOCATION: Diamonds Mansion…..

Eva excitedly hurried into the house only to see the guys fixing up their outfits as they seemed to be preparing to go out.
"Guys!" Eva shrieked happily and hugged them all…one by one.
All except Miguel who wasn't there.
"I am so happy! You guys did a whole lot to help me today and I am so grateful." Eva happily appreciated and they chuckled.
Daniel cupped her face.
"We are always by your side all the way Eva.." He assured and Eva grinned
"More credits goes to Miguel though." Andrew chipped in and Eva turned to look at him.
" So you will also have to thank him." He added and Eva nodded, biting her lower lip.
“For now, we are on our way to a party and we will be back late. Please make yourself comfy Eva. Bye…" Andrew notified and kissed her cheek while the others hugged her and they all left.
Eva smiled broadly and adjusted her bag pack then headed to the stairs.
Should she thank Miguel that moment or later…?
Besides,how sure was she that he was around?
Hm..
But the cars were complete which meant he was around.
Eva finally stood before his door and gulped down nothing.
Was she really ready?
Could she really do that?
No!...
Eva turned swiftly to reach her door when Miguel's room door suddenly opened and she froze in her tracks.
Fvck!
Was he out?
"Why were you snooping around my door Miss?" Eva heard Miguel ask icily and she felt the chills run through her that she shivered then gulped painfully.
She seriously couldn't face him…
Eva suddenly felt a cold grip around her left wrist and got spinned around.
"I am talking to you." He said and their bodies met due to the effect of him spinning her and her eyes grew as wide as saucers with a sharp gasp escaping her parted lips.
Eva was so,so… very close to Miguel!
Like..bodies touching close!
Eva felt her legs grow weak as his gaze peered into hers.
Gosh!
Those dark eyes that were so attractive.
The pair that melted her just by looking at her!
"I guess you are deaf then." Miguel scoffed, tugging her hand free and she gasped, staggering away from him and watched as he slowly walked away.
What the hell just happened!?
She couldn't even muster up the courage to thank him.
The main reason she was at his door in the first place!
Ugh!
Eva lazily dragged her feet towards her room.

Dropping her bag on the bed, Eva sat down tiredly.
After a while,she carefully held up her left hand and smiled widely.
He touched her!
He really did touch her!..
Gosh!
His touch…it sent the chills and sparks right inside her.
To her…it felt beautiful.
Way too beautiful!
Eva palmed her face and blushed heavily.
Ugh!
.what was he doing to herrr!?
She sighed heavily and began to undo all her buttons as she stood up heading to the bathroom.
She felt so hot, hungry and tired..
Goodness!
But that didn't matter now did it?
Miguel not only helped her retrieve her lost summary,he was now touching her?
And what was this feeling she always had?
Was it even healthy?
