Episode Fifteen

LOCATION: SOUTH CLUB

Andrew took in another shot of vodka as the liquid flowed down his throat.

He doesn't really drink because of his age but he knew he needed it.

"More." He ordered pushing the glass back to the bartender and sighed, running his fingers through his hair.

He was disturbed.

Really.

How on earth was he going to make those two come real close?

Eva and Miguel.

How?

It may sound crazy but he really thinks that they're a fit.

I mean,who doesn't see their chemistry?

He was guessing that since they had decided to leave Eva and Miguel alone at home tonight,it would be really useful.

Most especially over the fact that Eva would love to appreciate Miguel for helping her out in school today.

"Andrew…" He suddenly heard a call and turned on the high stool to see Ruby.

Eva sat at the table but far from Miguel for safety measures.

She needed space to breathe because he kept taking her breath away.

She occasionally glanced at him to see the rate at which he used in picking his food.

Seriously?

What was really his problem?

Eva glanced at him again and this time, their eyes met!

Gosh!

She quickly looked away and gulped down her rice which she was chewing on,followed by some water.

Why was he staring back?

#Wednesday…..

Eva and Mary headed to the auditorium restroom where all the contestants got ready but Cassandra wasn't there yet.

Hm…

Mary opened Eva's large black bag and took out her makeup kit first and proceeded to beautify Eva's face.

Thankfully, Eva had already showered.

It was made known that the upcoming stage would be recorded live especially to get votes from the audience and public outside the school.

At the end of Eva's make over,she appeared stunning.

"Gosh Mary! You are super talented!" Eva exclaimed checking out her reflection.

"Yeah…thanks but we have limited time…relax and let me fix your hair so you could get changed." Mary replied.

The auditorium was a beehive of activity with people moving around.

No student would want to miss that awesome stage of the ongoing contest.

So many students had already begun to campaign for their favorite contestant and most of them had bangles, watches and other accessories having 'EVA BIEBER ' printed on them while some had Cassandra's name.

They were the two most popular with fans all around.

It was surely going to be a very big battle that day.

Eva pulled on the yellow off shoulder dress which hugged and brought out amazing her curves.

The dress was long,silk and a bit of flared at the lower hip downwards.

She had red shoe on and her jewelry set was made out of emeralds specially gifted to her by Jerad.

Mary styled Eva's hair into a bun with tendrils.

Eva had noticed other contestants give her odd looks which she termed as 'jealousy'.

Obviously…

Mary finally wore Eva her sash 'CONTESTANT 1 OF MISS DIAMOND '.

"Now that's a typical Miss Diamond." Mary cheered and the others scoffed.

"Hey! Don't be so rude and jealous. It's not our fault that you all are disasters, yunno!" Mary snapped and Eva gasped in shock.

"What?" Mary asked.

"Quit it already." Eva pleaded tiredly.

"Only for you." She pouted and Eva chuckled.

"Alright now,show me your cat walk." Mary urged and Eva chuckled.

"Okay…"

Eva placed her right hand on her hip , looked straight up, shoulders high and had a firm face of a pure model and she began to take slow beautiful steps.

Mary squealed cheering.

At the end,Eva flashed a smile throwing an air kiss , then winked and turned around while Mary kept cheering.

"Goodness! You are on fire gurllll!"

They were all finally called out and that was when Eva felt her heart miss a beat.

She was feeling nervous already.

"You can do this Eva!" Mary assured and Eva nodded with a light sigh before gaining her posture.

"Contestant one! Eva Bieber!"

They heard her name being announced followed by loud cheers and Eva began her cat walk,right out onto the stage taking careful steps as practiced only to gain a wild ovation from the students.

And when she flashed her smile,threw an air kiss then winked, different types and colours of flowers were thrown at Eva from the students endlessly.

They really came prepared .

She made a classic turn doing the turkey in the oven spin and headed to her standing spot.

"Contestant two! Cassandra!"

There was an ovation as she stepped out in a cat walk waving at the audience as they screamed happily.

Cassandra had a red dress on with lots of glitters that was enough to blind an eye.

Would have probably cost a fortune getting that dress.

She finally took her position next to Eva who didn't bother to take a glance at her.

Eva just kept her smile intact and her hand was firm on her hip as she scanned the auditorium but couldn't find any member of the Diamonds.

Ugh!

Three more contestants did their show and took positions.

At the end of it all, the students were almost breathless with the show.

Mrs Xavier finally came up to address everyone.

"Wow! That was quite a wonderful show! Such pretty appearances. Well…I am happy that we all are excited and now…for the best part.”

" Pick up the electric pads beneath your seats and begin imputing your vote for your favorite contestant. Only one person…one!"

"If you vote for Miss Bieber…press 1.. Miss Cassandra…press 2, Miss Rick…press 3..,Miss Len …press 4 and Miss Shaw.. press 5.” she instructed.

“And if you are watching us live from outside, kindly visit our i********: page and tap on the heart reaction to vote for your favorite contestant through the photograph which has been uploaded already. Then type…vote… remember…only vote once… you all have ten minutes to vote. Your time starts….."

There was a short pause.

"NOW!."

In a flash,Eva could clearly see all the students pick up their pads as they began to vote and the large screen viewed each vote that counted right there in the hall.

Her heart leapt to her throat as her votes climbed up to 500!

GOSH!

Cassandra's votes remained at 350.

Oh well,that was not a problem.

She really didn't care.

The only vote count that was showing at that moment was that of the students in the hall.

The one that was taking place in i********: was yet to be announced and she was confident that she was going to win.

. Of course…

She was friggin 'popular and Eva was no match for her.

Not even a bit.

She owned Seoul fans.

"TIME UP!"

Eva gulped as she couldn't believe what her eyes were seeing.

"Wow! Wow! This is so good! Wow!... okay…" Mrs Xavier exclaimed, really impressed.

The screen viewed the votes properly.

"From this hall, Miss Shaw had 200 votes.."

There was an ovation.

"Miss Len…100 votes…"

Another ovation rose.

"Miss Rick…105 votes.."

A loud ovation.

"Miss Cassandra…900 votes.."

There were shouts of joy

"Miss Bieber……"

The ovation became so loud that she had to stop and Eva couldn't quit smiling.

"Miss Bieber…"

"2000 votes!"

The ovation was so wild and loud as they all leapt for joy.

Eva felt like crying at that moment.

She never knew she would be that loved.

She was popular!

"I am so speechless…I mean…" Mrs Xavier glanced at Eva and scuttled to where she stood.

"You deserve a bear hug super star." She cooed and hugged Eva as the students went wild with joy and a tear escaped Eva's eye but she was quick to wipe it off.

Mrs Xavier withdrew and gave Eva a smile before heading back to her stand.

"I am so impressed."

“Well ..it's time for our judges count before the final votes results are announced." Mrs Xavier announced and headed to her seat as a man came up.

"Good day students of Diamond High!" He greeted .

"Good day sir!" A loud chorus came.

"So far…I must say that I have been having so much fun."

"Further on…it is time for the judges count." He opened a large paper and looked at it.

"During the parade.. judge 2 gave her entire vote to contestant 1! Miss Bieber!" He announced

Goodness!

There was a loud ovation.

"Judge 3 gave his entire vote to contestant 1! Miss Bieber!"

Wait ..what?

"In a nutshell,the entire judges of this contest gave our entire 500 votes to contestant 1! Miss Bieber!"

O….M….G!

There were loud cheerful shouts of joy.

What the hell!?

"Now…we are going to state why we did that…" he began and there was silence.

"As a good audience and judge who must have watched beauty pageants and modelling shows…you would be able to notice that Miss Bieber did really great! She mixed up the line of a model with that of a beauty pageant…."

A short clip of Eva's display was viewed.

"She came out firm! Hands on hips, heads up, shoulders high and had a straight face but she didn't stop there! She was thrilling to watch!”

" She flashed a beauty pageant smile,.....gosh! I could go on and on listing what she did. That was so exceptional and mind blowing. And I didn't hesitate to cast my entire votes for her immediately! That is what you can call a perfect display,full of courage and ambition." He paused and faced Eva who was already overwhelmed with emotions.

"Miss Bieber,I must say you are one in a billion. I didn't say million…billion. We are all proud to have you with us. Thank you." He concluded with a bow and Eva gasped.

Goodness!

He bowed!

There was a wild ovation.

"WE LOVE YOU EVA!"

Eva pressed her lips together trying so hard to fight back her tears.

It was all too much to take in.

Still,she kept her pose.

Cassandra scoffed.

All those praises for a mere human!

Eva at that!

Gosh!

What did they really see in her…she wondered.

"Time for the i********: vote." He announced and the screen popped up with Miss Shaw's counting votes which soon stopped, followed by Miss Rick till it got to that of Eva and Cassandra.

WHAT!?

The entire audience screamed wildly.

No!

Cassandra was sure she wasn't seeing correctly.

"Miss Shaw…total of 5000 votes"

"Miss Len…total of 7070 votes ."

"Miss Rick…total of 2570 votes…"

"Miss Cassandra.. total of 1,885,678 votes"

"And finally…. Miss Bieber…total of…"

There was a pause as the screen popped up and Eva did a quick calculation.

"Total of 2,976,897 votes! O MY GOD!" He yelled and there was an ovation.

Eva felt her heart stop beating for a moment and she gasped.

Gosh!

Two million what!?

Eva felt her head get a spinny feeling as she nearly staggered.

The helly!?

The loud cheers in the hall were too mighty to contain.

It took a lot of time to calm them down and Mrs Xavier came up to take over.

She scoffed and glanced at Eva.

"You are really amazing Eva." She exhaled.

"Alright now…for the results..at the end of this quest…Miss Shaw came out with a total of 5200 votes…"

"Miss Len…total of 7170 votes…"

"Miss Rick…2,657 votes…. Miss Cassandra…1,886,578 votes and finally!... Miss Bieber!...2,978,897 votes!...."

There was another wild ovation which ended soon enough.

"And this draws an end to today's quest titled 'FASHION QUEST" She concluded and the next ovation was mad and Cassandra stormed out angrily.

So many students crowded Eva but Mary was quick to pull Eva back into the restroom where they met Cassandra and her cohorts.

Cassandra glared at Eva deadly.

"I am definitely sure you had a hand in your so-called massive votes but let me tell you something Eva…this is just the beginning! You think you are so high and mighty…good luck then." Cassandra rasped and stormed out.

"Congrats Eva." One of them whispered and hurried out.

Wow ….

"Even her disciples are congratulating you. Wow…" Mary marveled and Eva chuckled softly.

"Come on Mary…let's pack up . It's almost 6pm." Eva notified.

She was completely unmoved by Cassandra's rant.

Eva's escort took the large bag as she carried her bag pack still dressed in her dress.

She got into the jeep and they soon drove out.

Gosh!

She felt so tired.

Her bones were so weary from all the standing.

Eva smiled broadly remembering all that had taken place in the event.

"I viewed the competition Miss Eva.. you did really well." Jake her driver notified and Eva beamed.

"O MY! Thanks!"

"I also viewed it ma'am. And we both voted for you. I'm glad you won." Her escort added and Eva grinned.

."Thanks a lot! I promise to ask the guys to double your salaries this month as a reward." Eva assured.

"Thanks a lot ma'am." They appreciated happily and Eva relaxed on her seat to enjoy the ride back home.
