The Diamonds

Episode Nine

#Next Day…..

The Diamonds were having breakfast at the table quietly.

Well,no one had anything to talk about, except one who had something really bothering him.

He had to talk.

“I have a question.” Miguel suddenly spoke up and everyone at the table looked at him.

He had something to say?

Miguel who rarely spoke?

“What is it?” Daniel asked and Miguel wiped his lips with a napkin and sipped from his juice.

“It's about Chase.” He began and the guys exchanged looks.

“He's been ill for some days and I left him to go get his vet yesterday. I can clearly recall that Chase was in pain but when I returned,he was sleeping so calm and every pain seemed to have disappeared. So I want to know who came into my room because the heat pack wasn't even in place.” Miguel said and there was a deafening silence.

“You know we all left for the studio yesterday.” Jerad said and Andrew shifted uncomfortably on his seat.

It can't be Eva now ,could it?

No one said anything again and breakfast continued.

Andrew really hoped Eva hadn't broken the major rule Miguel gave her which is staying away from his things.

That,including Chase.

Eva was at her room balcony watching the sunset.

It was a warm evening and she could only pass time at the balcony.

All day, she has been expecting Andrew to come see her.

She really missed his company..

A knock resounded on her door and she gasped in excitement.

“Andrew?” She grinned and hurried to the door swinging it open to behold the one person she has been waiting for.

“Hey ..”he smiled warmly at her and she grinned.

“Good evening.” She greeted and he smirked.

“You seem excited..” He noticed.

“Well,I have been bored all day. Finished all my books.” Eva sighed and he chuckled.

“How about some fresh air?” He asked and her eyes beamed excitedly.

“Of course!.” She squealed and he smiled extending a hand which she took stepping out and she shut the door behind her.

They stepped out of the mansion and headed towards the gate and out to the short lane that would lead to the main entrance.

Eva could only admire the trees and shrubs along both sides of the lane.

Birds chirped and perched on them making the evening feel more magical.

“Have you considered my offer about you starting school?” Andrew asked and Eva picked her nails.

It seemed so nice.

After all,she was always bored at home with nothing to do.

Maybe schooling would be better while she tries to find a way back home.

But,there were buts.

A whole lot of them.

“I don't know yet.” Eva sighed and Andrew nodded.

“I totally understand.”

There was a moment of silence as they kept picking their steps.

“I have one question though.” Andrew suddenly said and Eva watched his face wondering what his question was.

“Promise you're going to say the truth.” He urged and Eva bit her lip wondering if something had gone wrong.

They stopped walking and held gazes.

“Did you go near Chase?” He asked and for a moment, Eva felt blood leave her body.

Did anyone figure it out?

How possible!?

“Miguel asked this morning at breakfast and with everything that happened that day,you were the only one at home.” Andrew stated and Eva broke immediately.

“I'm so sorry I broke the rule Andrew. He was in pain and I couldn't stand it. I had to help.” Eva apologized and Andrew sighed.

“It's fine. I'll handle it." Andrew assured and Eva sighed heavily.

Maybe she should have just stayed out of the way.

Now, Miguel's attention would be on her and it made her cringe.

They both finally headed back to the mansion after a while and met Daniel lazing in the living room with Jerad too.

“Hey Eva." Jerad grinned, waving cutely at Eva who chuckled.

“Hi." She mumbled.

" How'd she take the school stuff Andy? I'm curious. Is she in?”Daniel suddenly asked and Eva herself was stunned.

They've talked about it before.

" She's still thinking." Andrew replied with a shrug and Daniel rose from his seat , smiling really cutely.

“Thinking? Attending school with us is a great thing Eva. I could get buttons pushed if you just say yes." He offered and batted his lashes.

" Pretty please." He crooned and Eva scoffed, amused.

“Seriously?"

“I dunno." She sighed, shaking her head.

“Sounds more like a yes to me." Jerad chipped in and Eva gasped.

“Huh? No…”

" Yes it is.” Daniel cheered and began hurrying towards the stairs .

" Get ready for your first day Cinderella!” He yelled and Eva chuckled facing Andrew.

" Really?” She asked and he shrugged with a smile.

The guys sure did love a dramatic entrance.

Yes,they are the idols of the city and their school.

That sure was one huge thing.

But showing up in school the next morning with a new girl in Daniel's ride?

That was insane!

Early that morning, Daniel literally had to steal Eva from Andrew just so she could ride with him.

He sure was the lover of dramatic effect.

The Diamonds carefully led Eva towards the first building they came across and students kept going after them talking amongst themselves while wondering who that new girl with them was.

"Cassie…you need to see this." Tess said rushing to Cassandra's desk .

She handed Cassandra her phone to check out the newly uploaded pictures of the Diamonds.

But…they weren't alone.

"What!?" Cassandra gasped stunned.

"What the hell is she doing here!?" She asked alarmed.

In a jiffy, she got off her seat and rushed out of the private classroom while her friends followed suit.

Cassandra couldn't explain how she felt but it was definitely mixed with anger as she hurried down the hallway after getting out of the elevator.

She noticed the mass of students and they gave way letting her pass as she finally came face to face with the Diamonds.

Miguel wasn't with them.

"Hey.. Cassandra." Daniel waved and she only spared him a glance.

"What is going on here?" She demanded facing Andrew who was surprised.

"What do you mean Cassie?" He asked.

"Why is she here? In our school?" Cassandra demanded again and faced Eva.

"Why are you here?" She snapped at Eva who was stunned.

"Um…have we met before?" Eva asked furrowing her brows and Cassandra flinched.

It felt as if she got slapped.

Hard.

The students around who heard it was surprised at the way the new girl responded to Cassandra and some sniggered.

How dumb it was of Cassandra to attack a girl she doesn't know.

And the guys,they stared at Eva surprised and watched as she shared a tough stare down with Cassandra who appeared furious for no reason.

Eva finally looked away from Cassandra's stare and faced Andrew.

"We should leave here." She muttered and he nodded before nudging at the rest and they walked away leaving, Cassandra behind.

"Who the hell does she think she is?" Ruby scoffed as Cassandra fisted her hands and stormed off.

As they stepped out of the elevator,Eva noticed something was up among the guys exchanging glanced and all.

She finally turned facing them with folded arms.

"What's going on?" She demanded and they stared at her blankly.

"It would be nice if I get an answer." Eva said and Jerad chuckled.

"It's nothing serious Eva but..."

“What happened back there?" He asked and she furrowed her brows, confused.

"What do you mean?" Eva queried.

"The way you stood up against Cassandra. Your response was more like as if you haven't seen her before now and it was definitely humiliating and funny." Daniel noted and the guys laughed heavily.

"I didn't mean to appear that way. I just didn't want her to successfully ruin my first day." Eva shrugged and Andrew stepped forward and tucked loose hair behind her and.

"No one is capable of ruining your day Eva " Andrew assured with a smile and she nodded.

They finally arrived at the administrator's office and the young lady got off her seat upon their entrance.

"Good morning." She greeted with a slight chuckle.

"Yeah. Are those stuffs ready?" Andrew demanded and Eva was surprised at how cold he sounded.

He wore a straight face on as he kept his gaze trained on the lady who nodded and scuttled to a large chest of drawers.

She drew out one and took out some stationaries then dropped them on the table.

"These are some notepads we couldn't get in and few other writing materials and her time table. The rest of her stuffs have been placed in her locker already." The lady notified and Andrew nodded.

He took Eva's bag and fixed everything in it then took a small piece of paper the lady gave him.

"Locker 0056." She said.

Andrew nodded and they finally headed out.

After they had gone away from the door, Eva stopped and faced Andrew.

"What was that?" She asked and he arched a brow.

"You had to really act all bossy to her." She added and Daniel sighed.

"If you don't give some people a particular kind of treatment,they would definitely always cross their boundaries." He shrugged and Andrew smiled.

"Is that why you put on the face of an old lady?" He chuckled and Eva rolled her eyes trying to stop herself from smiling.

"Look, the most important thing here is…. you are finally a student of this reputable school." He cheered and Eva chuckled.

"Thanks so much guys. You have all really done a lot for me." Eva sighed.

"It's nothing Eva." Jerad said and she smiled at him.

"Let's get you to your class then." He urged and they moved on.

They stopped before a closed door.

"Behind this door is your classroom. Totally enclosed and well ventilated." Andrew said and she nodded.

"Good luck Eva." Daniel winked at her and they walked away.

Eva exhaled deeply and carefully opened the door before walking in with heavy steps.

The class was sort of noisy due to the fact that there was no teacher in,yet.

Upon her entrance, the students began to talk among themselves.

‘..Heyy….. that's the new girl..’

‘..Goodness! She is our classmate!?..’

Eva sighed, already feeling so stressed out already.

Many students began to draw her attention.

‘..Come sit with me pretty!..’

‘...We will make great seat mates yunno!..’

‘Damn! Look at those legs!..’

A guy pushed another guy sitting on his desk at his side as Eva approached his area but she definitely wasn't going to sit there.

Eva finally spotted a girl amongst the students crazy for her attention.

She was seated quietly with a headset on.

Every student had a single seater desk to themselves and there was a vacant one right beside the girl.

Eva finally got to the desk and occupied it.

Groans of disappointment went across the classroom and she chuckled softly.

Eva placed her bag on the table and faced the girl who was scribbling on a notepad.

"Hey…" Eva tried greeting.

The girl only spared her a glance and looked away.

"Wow!" Eva muttered.

That was cold.

At that moment,the door opened and a young lady walked in dressed coperately and all the students rushed to their various seats while some hurried to go meet her.

"Good morning Mrs Lee." They chroused randomly.

"Yeah. How do you all do?" She responded.

"Good!"

The students that were around her obviously loved her so much as they chatted a bit before finally heading to their seats and the classroom was finally quiet.

The lady glanced around and her gaze fell on someone.

Eva followed her gaze and noticed she was looking at the girl seated beside her.

"Mary….." Mrs Lee called and Eva looked at the girl who wasn't obviously in the class anymore.

"Mary…." She called again and Eva carefully tapped her and the girl faced her.

"Teacher…" Eva mouthed and she took off her headset then looked at the front of the class to see the teacher staring at her likewise her classmates.

"Come here dear." Mrs Lee urged and the girl sighed keeping the headset on the table and headed to meet the lady.

"You obviously weren't here when I got in…were you?" Mrs Lee chuckled and the class laughed.

Eva furrowed her brows.

What was funny about that?

"Try see me later ok?" Mrs Lee requested and the girl nodded before heading back to her seat.

"The moment I learned we have a newbie, I rushed all the way down here." Mrs Lee said now sounding really excited and the students glanced at Eva who suddenly felt awkward.

Mrs Lee eye scanned the class and finally saw Eva.

She obviously was the new student.

Mrs Lee pulled on a sweet smile and headed to where Eva was seated.

When she got to Eva's side,she took her by the hand and made Eva stand up.

"Come on…." she urged and led Eva to the front of the classroom.

"So..this is our new student and she would be doing a brief introduction of herself to us." Mrs Lee announced and faced Eva who gulped heavily.

What!?

She was standing before nearly fifty students and it felt weird.

She was nervous.

"Go on.." Mrs Lee urged and Eva sighed.

"Um…. my name is Eva Bieber. A new student of this school. I hope we get along well." Eva finally introduced herself and the students clapped for her while cheering.

Gosh!.

They were such free spirited students.

"Now, according to our tradition, anyone with a comment towards Eva is free to speak now." Mrs Lee announced and Eva furrowed her brows.

Ok…what?!

A student got off his seat staring deeply at Eva and she swallowed.

This is awkward.

"The moment she stepped in,she definitely stole my heart." The guy said like he had been practicing that line for a while now.

Eva's face grew so hot and she tried to keep her cool.

The hell!?

" I love her hair. Please tell me what hair treatment you use…" A girl spoke up.

"You definitely have an amazing spirit with you…welcome to Diamond High." Another girl said.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" A guy teased and Eva choked on nothing.

"You are so pretty!"

More and more comments came in and Eva felt as if she could literally exploded as she blushed so hard.

She was finally allowed to go back to her seat and Mrs Lee exited the class after spending some more time with them.

That was some positive way of making a new student feel comfortable and she loved it!

The school was just all she ever needed.
