Episode Eleven

"What did you say?" Eva asked like she didn't hear clearly and Mary only shrugged facing her plate.

Eva bit her lip staring at her plate blankly.

She had suddenly lost her appetite and she didn't know why but suddenly,she just couldn't bring herself to keep eating.

Recess would be over soon and everyone headed to their classes.

"Thank you so much Mary." Eva said, breaking the silence between them as they headed to their class building.

"It's no biggie." Mary muttered.

"But…you are an awfully quiet person, yunno." Eva said with a nervous chuckle.

She didn't want to say anything that would make Mary not come near her again.

"I guess that is the way I am." Mary shrugged.

"Everyone sees me that way and keeps their distance right from my very first day. Maybe I just don't fit in." Mary said, battering her lashes as if to hold in tears from escaping her eyes.

"Whoa!" Eva exclaimed.

"It's fine tho. I’m cool about it. Used to it." Mary gave a tight smile and walked on ahead leaving Eva surprised.

♠. A FEW WEEKS LATER. ♠

LOCATION: DIAMOND HIGH

Mrs Lee walked into the class as the students greeted.

"How was your night darlings?" She asked grinning and random responses went around.

"Well…. you know exactly why I am here right?" She asked and the students nodded while some gave a positive verbal response.

"Great! Now,I need a class representative like I told you all in our last meeting and now, you all would be picking just three nominees. Then,we would vote for them all." Mrs Lee announced and the students cheered.

"First nominee!" Mrs Lee called out and whispers went around among the students and one of them stood up.

"Kira." He announced and the students cheered as the girl got off her seat elegantly and headed to the front of the class.

"Second!"

"Max!"

A male student got off his seat and headed out.

"Third!"

"Eva!" More than half of the students suddenly screamed out and Eva's eyes grew wide open that instant.

"What!?" She muttered stunned then glanced at Mary who shrugged with a light smile.

"Come on out Eva." Mrs Lee invited sweetly and Eva gulped down nothing and got off her seat heading to the front of the class.

It all seemed like it was all planned out.

What the hell?

"Great! Now…we have three nominees. You know the way to vote.”

" Take out your iPads…log into our class group chat and vote for them by tapping on the icons I would upload now…" Mrs Lee instructed and began operating on the iPad with her.

"And….now!"

Eva hated the way she was feeling already.

Why did they have to select her?

She didn't want any of it..

None at all.

The attention and everything this was bringing..

None.

The voting time was over and Mrs Lee was about calling the score.

Eva nervously gripped her skirt.

"And our newest class representative is…Miss Eva Bieber!" Mrs Lee announced and Eva gasped in shock.

Half of the class went mad with joy and Kira rolled her eyeballs stomping off to her seat.

"Max would be her assistant. And there…you all have your class rep and assistant. Congratulations Eva and Max." Mrs Lee smiled at them and Eva nodded with a tight smile then headed to her seat.

Once seated,Mary turned to face her as Mrs Lee exited the classroom.

"Congratulations Eva. You deserve it." Mary smiled at her.

"Thanks…?" Eva replied unsure and sighed.

"Are you okay?" Mary asked and Eva shook her head negatively.

"I am just a month old here." Eva muttered and Mary smiled.

The both of them had suddenly bonded over the past few weeks.

Slowly,Eva had influenced Mary that she was finally having a voice among people.

A teacher walked into the class and the students quickly composed themselves.

Eva alighted the jeep with a groan and headed into the mansion.

The guys had headed to the studio immediately after school leaving Eva all by herself.

A maid greeted her as soon as she got in and Eva mumbled a response.

That particular maid had been welcoming her since she started schooling.

All Eva needed was a cozy shower and a long nap which she was going to get soon.

In her deep slumber,she heard a knock on the door and groaned.

"Who is it?"

"It is I,a maid. Dinner is served." She announced and Eva groaned a little upset about the fact that her sleep had been disturbed.

"I'll be there!" Eva yelled a response then sat up ruffling her hair.

Gosh!

She really needed her sleep but then,her stomach grumbled causing her to blush.

Food first then...

Eva skipped down the stairs and cheerfully headed to the table.

Upon seeing Miguel,she automatically composed herself.

"Good evening everyone." She greeted and sat down as Miguel's cologne filled her nostrils.

It was so strong and powerful.

"How was school Eva?" Jerad asked as a maid served her.

"Interesting. I got selected as my class representative." Eva announced.

"Whoa!" The guys cheered…except Miguel of course.

"That's awesome!" Andrew grinned.

Eva glanced at Miguel when he didn't even flinch at her announcement.

Wait…was she really expecting him to celebrate with her?

Eva bit her lower lip embarrassed.

"Well…. that is surely a great news. I bet you would be the best class representative yet!" Daniel praised and Eva chuckled.

"Thanks a lot Daniel."

They began eating quietly.

"When is the concert coming up?" Miguel suddenly asked and Eva felt a cold shiver as his voice filled her brain.

Thrilling.

"By Friday. But we would be leaving on Wednesday." Andrew replied and Eva furrowed her brows.

Were they going somewhere??

She wanted to ask but decided to keep shut instead.

"Then we have to prepare real quick." Miguel said and the guys exchanged glances between themselves.

"Um…you know you wouldn't be coming along right?" Daniel reminded Miguel who stared at him shortly.

"Why?" Miguel arched a brow.

"You definitely can't join us for this concert Miguel. You know why." Jerad chipped in and he rolled his eyes.

Eva almost chuckled at the way he appeared with that reaction.

An eye roll?

So cute if it's Miguel doing it.

"I am fit for it okay? So I am going." Miguel said and they shrugged.

"If you say so." Andrew sighed.

Eva almost chuckled at the way he appeared with that reaction.

Dinner went on smoothly with other talks…

The night was cozy and the moon was shining brightly.

Eva and Andrew were taking a short walk around.

"So…you guys would be traveling?" Eva asked looking up at Andrew as they walked.

"Yeah. For three days." He replied

"And…Miguel isn't going with you guys?" She asked.

"Yeah."

He stopped walking as Eva did the same.

"Would you be okay?" He asked and Eva was mute.

She had never stayed a day without the guys being around and now, they were going to travel.

Andrew took her hand in his staring into her eyes.

"You would be ok. Definitely. It's just 3 days." Andrew assured.

"You do not understand Andy. I have never stayed without you." Eva muttered almost tearing up.

Andrew sighed and hugged her.

"Relax Eva.." he muttered and she held onto him tightly.

"Trust me…the days would pass by real quick. Just be cool." Andrew assured and kissed her temple.

Somehow,the day for the guys to leave came real quick much to Eva's disappointment.

After breakfast, they all shared a parting hug while Miguel was already in his car waiting.

"Get me something on your way back okay?" Eva requested and Andrew smiled.

"Definitely." He kissed her forehead and headed to his car while she headed for her ride and they all exited the premises.

LOCATION: DIAMOND HIGH

The school had a sudden peaceful calmness.

The Crystals weren't around and it made Eva glad.

Their presence seemed to always irk her.

Time went by real slow and when recess came,Eva couldn't bring herself to stand up.

"Aren't you going out for lunch?" Mary asked and Eva sighed.

"I am not hungry." She muttered and Mary arched a brow.

"Seriously?"

"Are you ok?" Mary asked and Eva looked up at her partially surprised.

Mary sure wasn't the free type to engage in talks with people but there she was talking with Eva in a worried manner.

"Eva?"

"Oh!." Eva got a reality check as she batted her lashes.

"It's ok. Let's go." Eva forced out a smile picking up her bag pack and Mary nodded.

At the cafeteria,they had gotten their orders and began eating.

"The school is quite calm today." Mary noticed.

"Yeah. The Diamonds aren't around." Eva shrugged with a chuckle.

"How do you even know them?" Mary asked and Eva stared at her blankly.

"You showed up on your first day with them." Mary smiled.

"Oh! Um…it's …we know each other somehow.” Eva stuttered a response.

" Hey! Look…you got beef. I'll have some." Eva quickly diverted the topic picking from Mary's plate.

LOCATION; DIAMONDS MANSION

It was already time for dinner.

Eva had returned home quite late and took a short nap until a maid came to notify her of dinner being served.

Eva got off the bed and pulled on her flip flops then exited the room.

The entire mansion was so quiet and it somehow felt peaceful for Eva.

She finally arrived the table and got seated then a maid began serving her before she started eating.

Right in the middle of her meal,she heard footsteps approaching the table and a familiar cologne filled the air and she froze then lifted her head on instinct to see Miguel!

Wait…what!?

Was she really seeing well?

How the hell was he right there at that moment?

He had left with the others by morning…so…?

She watched till he sat down at his normal spot and as expected,she was right there by his side.

A maid served him and walked away.

Eva had suddenly lost her appetite.

She couldn't eat anymore.

She really didn't expect him to be seated there at that time.

She was almost tempted to touch him and confirm if he was really there or…

She was just imagining things?

Eva watched as he began to eat almost perfectly.

Everything about him screamed perfect and she was lost watching him.

Miguel suddenly looked up and their eyes met.

To Eva,it felt as if that was the moment he finally noticed someone was also seated at the table.

"Do I look like your plate of food?" Miguel asked sarcastically and Eva batted her lashes looking away as she felt ashamed of herself.

Ugh!

She knew she shouldn't have stared so much.

She bit her lower lip and began picking on her food.

Miguel sitting next to her was like a huge distraction to her.

She couldn't eat and still couldn't bring herself to get off the table.

Miguel continued eating while Eva forced food down her throat.

Cassandra paced about the room she occupied with the girls.

"You really need to calm yourself Cassandra." Ruby groaned.

"You have no idea how I am feeling right now. Miguel ditched us right inside the airport." Cassandra snapped.

"You wouldn't blame him. It's one of his mood swings. It's a great thing he didn't come along than not joining us to display tomorrow night." Tess shrugged and Cassandra glared at her.

Somehow,she was right.

Most of the time, Miguel would have a sudden change in his mood that would make him want to isolate himself totally.

It had affected most of their shows in the past whereby most times, they would have to turn down a concert at the last minute because of Miguel's sudden absence.

It really affected the band a lot.

Aside that, Cassandra was sad and disappointed about him not joining them.

She wanted such an opportunity so bad in order to at least,get closer to him but now…it was all ruined.

"Maybe what you should be worrying about is the fact that 'your' Miguel would be right in that mansion all alone with that girl." Ruby scoffed and Cassandra froze as if she was stung by a bee.

Somehow,it made real sense to her that Miguel would be alone with that girl for two nights!

Anything could possibly happen during those nights!

Anything!

And it made her mad!

Dinner was over and Eva had gotten up to her room and changed into a night outfit.

A mid thigh loose short and loose top with teddy prints all over.

After combing her hair,she couldn't bring herself to sleep.

Exhaling,she got off the stool and exited the room.

The hallway was really quiet.

As she walked towards the stairs,she saw Miguel coming up and she immediately felt glued to a spot and couldn't move.

He always made her feel that way!

Why!?

When he finally got to where she stood,he paused and she felt his gaze roam around her body then he scoffed moving closer to her and on instinct,she moved backwards till her back met the wall and she gulped.

"You should know that we are alone….in this mansion. Mind your path Eva." Miguel muttered and Eva looked up at him the moment her name rolled out of his tongue.

It felt sweet and Eva could feel slight ache between her thighs.

His sweet scent seemed to drug her.

Miguel rolled his eyes and walked away.

Eva held her chest where her heart thumped rapidly.

He ….he was affecting her so bad!.

Eva absently scribbled on her note pad as the teacher taught the entire class.

Mary noticed Eva's mood and kicked her foot slightly beneath the table and Eva jerked facing Mary.

"Focus." Mary whispered.

"Oh!... okay." Eva nodded and looked away.

Gosh!

She was so screwed!

Miguel was going to make her lose her mind.

Definitely!

#Later….

It had rained heavily early that evening.

Miguel wasn't at home as he didn't come down for dinner.

It was already way past 8pm and somehow,Eva became worried.

She sighed getting off her bed and exited the room.

No one was in sight till she got out of the house and stood at the balcony staring at the gate.

The night was already getting too cold that her fingers were already feeling numb.

Where was he?

Why was she even getting so worried?

Eva exhaled and turned to head back in when the gate opened and almost immediately,a car drove in crazily.

Eva watched keenly as the door opened and Miguel stepped out shutting the door then began to head toward the mansion.

Eva from where she stood noticed how uneven his steps were and she furrowed her brows in confusion.

What was going on?

As he drew closer to her,she caught a strong whiff of alcohol and he suddenly staggered almost losing his balance but Eva was quick to get a hold of him.

"Goodness!" She exclaimed as he groaned.

He was heavily drunk!

What exactly made him drink so much!?

Eva groaned trying to adjust his heavy weight and headed to the door.

Once she was finally inside with him,the laundry maid hurried to come help her.

"No need. I'll manage." Eva quickly turned down and the maid stepped aside.

Well…she almost regretted turning down the maid as it was a tough task getting Miguel up the stairs.

At last,she finally got to his door and reached to open it as it gave way and she led him right inside.

The room had it's blue light on and it aided Eva's sight as she led him to the bed.

The moment she let him drop on the bed,it felt as if a heavy weight had come off her which was very true.

Eva adjusted him well on the bed and took off his shoes.

Gosh!.

He reeked so much of alcohol!

Eva used the duvet to cover him up and got lost staring at his face.

She sat next to him and stroked his hair.

He was so beautiful…

But…she really had to leave.

Eva moved her hand away and tried standing up when she felt a strong grip around her wrist and was pulled towards Miguel who made her lay right on him and she gasped.

He held her so tight and possessively.

"Please…don't leave me…. Promise me you wouldn't leave…" Miguel grumbled and Eva was stunned.

What!?

She stared at his sleepy face in surprise and she gulped.

He really wasn't going to let her go and those words….

A smile appeared across her lips and she caressed his hair.

"I won't leave you alone Miguel."

“I promise." She muttered and bit her lower lip.
