The Diamonds

Episode Four

The van began to slow down and Eva peeped out to see that they were now at a very busy place that looked like a

market.

She definitely couldn't afford to get caught there in the van like in the movies.

Taking in a long deep breath, Eva opened up the door and jumped out real fast before anyone would notice her.

Luckily, people around were too busy to even see a girl jumping out of a van.

Eva began to hurriedly walk away till she finally got to the outskirts of the market then released a heavy sigh tucking loose hair behind her ear.

So where was she now..?

She didn't know one bit.

Eva began to walk away slowly along the super busy road as so many eatables came along her way and her stomach had to grumble in response to the pleasing mouth watering sights.

Things that she could only see and not taste.

She has been walking for so long now with no sense of direction.

All her life,she hasn't really been to this country before and it made her so sad and confused.

How was she going to be able to return home in a situation like that?

Location; Diamonds Mansion.

Time; 1pm

Daniel whistled one of their best band songs as he jogged down the magnificent stairs.

He met Andrew who was at the wine bar relaxing with a glass of wine.

"Hey!" Daniel hailed.

"Daniel. Come on, join me." Andrew urged taking out another glass and Daniel sighed.

"Alcoholic?" He asked, sitting on a stool.

"Nah bruh.. We are still too young for that." Andrew replied laughing.

"Better.." Daniel replied with a smirk.

Andrew poured out some wine and gently pushed the glass towards Daniel who took it and began to sip from it.

"Have you seen Miguel today?" Daniel asked curiously and Andrew shook his head.

"Nope. But I am certain he is not here." Andrew replied and Daniel sighed.

"Could there ever be anyone or anything to change him again?”

" I really miss the old Miguel.” He muttered.

They both shared a short look at each other and Andrew shrugged.

"There could be.."

“We just have to wait." He simply said and emptied his glass.

Location; Crystals Mansion.

Cassandra spent a great deal of her time on IG while the maid in the room with her fixed up her nails.

She then heard a knock on her room door but didn't stop scrolling through her phone.

"Come in!" She responded casually and the door smoothly opened with Dayne and Ruby walking in as they held shopping bags and Cassandra lifted her gaze to see them and a wide smirk formed on her face.

" You two decided to buy the entire mall huh?" She snorted and the girls chuckled with Cassandra shaking her head.

"Tell me you guys got the gold Rolex diamond watch?"Cassandra asked eagerly.

"Of course we did Cassy." Ruby replied with a smile and Cassandra grinned proudly.

She knew she could trust her girls.

That watch had just been introduced to the public and had very few pieces on ground for the time being.

Miguel's birthday was in a few weeks and when she had seen that eye-catching accessory online,she immediately decided to purchase it before it would eventually get sold out.

Yeah!

She was super sure Miguel would love it.

"Where the hell is Miguel?" Daniel asked, adjusting his leather jacket and Andrew glanced at his watch.

"Guys,we are really running late for the concert already." He notified.

"We will wait a little. He has got to be back here soon." Jerad said and continued dialling Miguel's number which wasn't reachable all day.

They all heard the gate opening up outside and a car driving in.

“That should be him." Andrew said as they all looked at the door expecting it to open and have Miguel walk right in which

happened soon.

"Thank goodness Mig.. You are here." Andrew heaved a heavy sigh of relief.

“Where were you?" Andrew asked.

"Somewhere." Miguel replied flatly,heading for the stairs to get changed.

They all sighed the moment he had gone out of sight.

"Thank goodness he didn't return home drunk today else..." Daniel sighed as his voice trailed off.

They had an important concert to show up in and if Miguel had abu$ed alcohol,it would have definitely affected them so much because he was their lead singer.

Miguel's depression was really getting a better part of him and he kept neglecting his therapist.

He had gotten one for himself after persuasion from his friends due to a time around the previous year when he claimed to be seeing things.

And that was on a whole new level of weird..

Cassandra felt her heart skip a beat as the Diamonds arrived backstage.

She could feel his aura so thick in the air already.

Cassandra fixed her gaze on Miguel who had a straight face but still appeared as hot as ever.

Who was he!?

Those lips she wanna bite so much!

They were all going to perform live for their audience that night with the Diamonds featuring the Crystals in a song they had just released.

She smiled widely at the beautiful thought of being so close to Miguel that night.

There was nothing she loved more than the feeling of being around him.

Eva groaned painfully as she held on to her stomach while sitting down on a roadside bench.

She felt so hungry that she could eat just about anything she came across.

Since when did her life take this terrible turn?

It was already nightfall and she had been walking all day.

Never had she walked such a distance in her entire life.

Yet there she was, having covered a good distance on foot while wandering like a lost sheep.

Pst..

Of course she was lost.

Her entire body ached so bad and her throat felt sore due to it being dry and parched.

There was a barbecue stand nearby where she sat and it had a large television screen displaying an ongoing live show.

Her attention didn't even last on whatever was going on in the screen as she diverted it to the grilling meal before her.

Her mouth watered and she swallowed heavily.

The aroma was thick and overwhelming.

Ugh!

Just one bite would do a whole lot.

While lost in the temptation before her,Eva suddenly heard a smooth angelic lead singing voice which had penetrated her distracted attention on the meal.

Eva already thought she had suddenly died and was in heaven till her gaze moved to the television to see a boy singing and her heart missed a painful beat.

“Ugh.." she groaned, caressing her chest as she watched him in awe.

Was he some sort of god!?

Like,he was just too hot!

There was no way a human being could be that hot.

She understood that guys in this country were jaw droppers but this one,he wasn't just pretty but had a sleek voice!

“Nah..I’m definitely seeing things.” Eva muttered, staring at the screen.

But then his voice.

It could melt even the coldest of hearts.

Just immediately,a young girl joined in making Eva feel the goose bumps at the insane musical harmony.

It was the perfect description of heaven on earth.

The musical stars both sang in perfect harmony while three other boys played instruments while singing too with three more backup girls.

Eva was so lost in the melody of their voices but there was one question running wild in her head.

Who the heck were they?!

"The Diamonds and Crystals are just the best." The store keeper suddenly made that comment to a customer and it gripped Eva's attention.

"They are my favourite Korean musical bands! Too bad I couldn't attend the concert." A lady replied and Eva

furrowed her brows.

Could it be the same set of people her best friends back in Nigeria do talk about?.

Eva sighed standing up as she headed on to no place in mind.

She just couldn't stay back and listen to the song as it pierced through her heart adding to her hunger.

It was morning already...

Eva had slept at the entrance of a shop the previous night on a completely empty stomach.

She kept walking to no place in particular and eventually took a bend in the street when her eyes suddenly caught sight of something and her curiosity rose to its highest peak as she hurried towards it.

Right before her was a currency note and she hastily picked it up,heart racing with undiluted joy.

Eva didn't know how much she was holding but it appeared much since it had a 200 on it.

She thanked her lucky stars as she resumed walking, imagining what she could use that money to get.

Thank goodness she had decided to take a turn to that street else what would she have seen to survive on.

She was still thanking her lucky stars when a car crazily sped towards her.

"Aargh!" Eva shrieked trying to dodge and she fell on the ground with her elbow scratching the rough road instantly gaining her a huge injury.

The car stopped a few metres away and reversed back.

It was a red flashy car.

A young girl alighted the car all dressed in a red jumpsuit and heels as her eyes wore dark shades to compliment everything.

"Hey you! Did you really have to be so clumsy!?" She snapped to Eva's own surprise.

What the hell?

Cassandra kept her car going at high speed with a pop jam rocking the car interior.

She was on her way to school for a sudden test that she really couldn't afford to miss.

And that was when a very crazy human almost committed suicide with her car.

“The fvck??" Cassandra exclaimed and angrily rode right back to serve the girl a piece of her pissed mind.

Eva stared at the girl in surprise as she got up on her feet with the girl not shaking her intense glare off her.

"Ain't I talking to you!?" The sophisticated girl snapped.

"Me?" Eva asked, pointing at her chest and scoffed.

"You almost ran me over and you are not even sorry!" Eva retorted angrily and the girl instantly took off her shades,surprised at the tone Eva had used.

Cassandra had a really wild look of disgust as she sized Eva up with her eyes.

"Do you have any idea who I am?" The lady asked in anger.

"I don't care about who you are, Miss Red but kindly use your eyes next time. They definitely aren't for fancy." Eva snapped and Cassandra was dumbstruck.

She fisted her hands in rage as she glared at Eva.

"You will regret this!" Cassandra swore and turned, stomping off to her car and soon speeding off.

Eva watched as the car drove off crazily and she sighed.

“She is definitely breaking many driving rules at that pace." Eva muttered then gasped on noticing that the currency note had slipped off her hold.

" No!” She exclaimed and began to look around for it in desperation but she couldn't find it.

And that was when she saw a girl from a distance bend to pick up something.

Her money!

"Hey! That's mine!" Eva snapped, charging at the girl who spared Eva a glance before she took off on her heels.

"Hey! Stop! Give it back!" Eva called out and the chase grew hot as they took so many turns.

Eva finally caught up with her and held her by the hair before reaching to take the money and in the process of the struggle,it tore in two's.

Eva glared at her angrily.

"Look what you've caused!" She snapped as her eyes grew hot and wet with tears which she struggled to hold in.

All her hope had just been smashed.

The girl scoffed nonchalantly.

"It's not my fault b*tch!"

Eva gasped in shock.

"How dare you!?" Eva growled and began to pull her hair aggressively.

Andrew glanced at his watch and faced the road.

He had to hurry up.

He needed to get to school just in time for that test.

And during the ride,that was when something caught his attention up ahead.

He saw two young girls who seemed to be in a heated argument.

Huh?

He furrowed his brows and quickly pulled up, alighting the car.

"Hey! Please don't do that!" He called out loudly to one of the girls who was ready to as$ault the other with a plank.

The girl was about to hit Eva when a guy suddenly stopped her.

Not just any guy.

He was fvcking handsome!

"O my! Andrew?!" The girl squealed crazily, getting off Eva who was relieved but equally surprised.

"Why are you two fighting?" Andrew asked, glancing between both girls.

"She stole my money." The girl lied immediately and Eva gasped.

"O my! Sir!. That's not true.." She protested.

"And that is why you were about to kill her?” Andrew demanded but the street girl had her tongue tied.

" Okay...how much is it?" He asked.

"Don't believe her sir.... she's lying." Eva pleaded.

"It's a thousand sir." She replied and Eva was forced to exclaim loudly

"A thousand? Are you serious!?." Eva exclaimed eyes wide open at the girl then she faced the guy.

“Please, don't believe her. I never stole anything from her. Talk more of that amount." Eva defended but he didn't listen.

Right before her eyes, he gave the girl the money and she glared at Eva before leaving.

A thousand!?

Just like that?

Eva turned to see he had been staring all the while she was glaring at the street girl who was skipping away.

He now seemed like he was super familiar to her.

Just then her stomach grumbled painfully and she groaned..

"Mmh ."

"Are you okay Miss?" Andrew asked and Eva nodded.

"Why did you steal from her?" He finally asked cautiously and she stared at him in surprise.

"I never did. Instead,she stole two hundred from me and ended up destroying it." Eva replied, showing him the pieces and he sighed.

. "So sorry about that." He apologized and she nodded gently.

He then stared at her keenly.

She doesn't seem to even know him despite the fact that The Diamonds were highly popular and respected in the country but her...was different.

She didn't seem to care or squeal like other female crazy fans would.

Who was she?

"Are you new here?" He finally asked and for a moment, Eva's heart missed a beat.

Oh no!

Was it that obvious?

She gulped as they held gazes for a long time.

"Um...um... I...not really."

Her brain failed her at that moment to form correct words.

He was mute for a short while then sighed.

"Get in the car." He ordered and Eva furrowed her brows in shock.

Huh?

Her face held a really confused expression which Andrew read immediately.

"I said get into the car let me drop you off at home." He offered and Eva gulped.

"O... okay." She found herself giving in.

She seriously couldn't stand the scorching sun anymore.

She finally got into the car with him and fixed her seat belt enjoying the comfy feeling of the car seat.

Gosh!

She has never felt that comfortable in days.

The car began to move at a fast pace as she began thinking of a lie to give if he should ask her where she lived.

The ride had started a while ago and it pained Eva that she had to bring it to an end.

"Um...stop me here." Eva suddenly spoke up as they got to a place far from where he had picked her up earlier.

Andrew nodded as he finally pulled over.

"Thanks a lot." She appreciated with a tight smile and he smiled back at her before taking out some money which he stretched to her.

Eva glanced between him and the money in complete confusion.

“Come on,have it." He urged and Eva sighed

“I don't know….”Eva whispered and he scoffed, grabbing her hand gently and he placed the money in it.

. "See it as a friendly help." He said softly and Eva reluctantly accepted.

" Thank you .”she whispered and he smiled.

" Take care.” He advised and Eva smiled weakly then looked at the money in her hand.

That was a whole lot.

She finally got down from the car feeling so good already.

She has got to eat something ASAP.

Eva began to walk further on till she spotted an eatery and walked in.

Thankfully it wasn't filled up so she took a seat at a table till a waitress came to her.

"Good afternoon miss. Ready to order?" She asked and Eva nodded with a sigh.

"Um...fried rice..." She requested and the waitress furrowed her brows confused.

"I'm sorry Miss. We don't sell that here." She notified and Eva was dumbstruck.

Gosh!

She totally forgot that she wasn't in Nigeria anymore.

The reality of it practically made her feel sick.

She saw a lady eating noodles, and it seemed....watery.

"Can you get me whatever it is that she is eating?" Eva requested.

" Sure.” The waitress responded and jotted it down before she left.

Eva's order soon arrived and she didn't hesitate as she devoured the food hungrily.

Mmh..gosh!

It was so divine.

She ate to her fill and gulped down the soup.

Ugh!

She could have more and more of that.

The bill was brought and she paid according to the best of her knowledge.

Eva relaxed back on her seat to get back her lost strength before leaving the eatery to an unknown destination.

By the time she had left the eatery...it was already nightfall.

Time just seems to be passing by a lot these days.

She needed a place to relax her head and anywhere would do at that moment.

She suddenly spotted a salon that was already closed and hurriedly went towards the entrance.

Eva gently then sat down tiredly before eventually laying down to sleep.

In her deep slumber,Eva felt something crawl up her legs and she shoved it off trying to sleep but it came back again.

What the hell was that??

Weakly, she opened her eyes to see..

.A man!

Eva gasped loudly trying to sit up but he pinned her down , instantly mounting her.

"Shh...shh.. quiet. Don't scream. I will be gentle." He wickedly promised.

"No! No! Get off me!" Eva yelled in great fear as her heartbeat raced frantically.
