Chapter 24
After graduation, Keira and I worked through summer. A lot. She got a job at the golf course as the golf pro. I got a job waitressing at a little diner, and I tutored kids at summer school on the side.
Since we were both going to the U of A, we wanted to get a place together, closer to campus. This meant picking up all of the extra shifts we could. Though we lived together, we rarely got to enjoy each other’s company, as we were both exhausted. I was extremely excited to get a place of our own once school started. Especially because we wouldn’t need to work as much.
