Chapter 9

AMBRA

We went to his office. Once we got in, he led me to the little couch in the corner, he took two mugs and he poured us some tea. When he sat next to me, I could tell he was nervous, we had a lot to talk about, and I thought that maybe it was difficult for him, so I put the mug down on the table and I reached for his hands. I could see his face change, from nervous to relaxed, he put his mug down and held my hands even tighter, as to take courage. Where our hand were touching sparks were erupting and it was a wonderful sensation. I could tell he didn't know where to start, so I decided to ask:

- What is this sparkling sensation I get when you touch me? Would I feel the same if another werewolf hold my hand?-

I could tell he didn't like the question because he started to growl and hold me closer.

- Why ever in this world would another wolf hold your hand, and not just wolf, human too?!-

- I don't know, I was just asking. I don't know anything about your kind, Mind me for being curious!-

-Sorry, I was just being irrationally jealous. As I told you already we live in packs. The majority of us lives in the packhouse, but we can live in our own house on the pack land. Our packs are organized in rank. We have omegas, who clean the house, cook, do the gardening. Then there are normal wolves, then we have the warriors, and at the end the high ranking wolves. We have the gamma, the beta and the strongest of the pack, the Alpha. The Alpha leads the pack alongside his Luna, they are equals but the most important thing... they are mates, they care for the wellbeing of the pack, they protect the pack, and the pack protects them.-

- So who are you in the pack ranking? and What are mates?-

- One question at the time babe, I am the future Alpha of this pack, right now my father is the Alpha and my mother is his Luna. Once I find my mate my parents will step down, and I'll become the next Alpha. Right now I am training, I'm helping my father...-

-Have you found your mate? How do you know it's her?-

- What have I said? One question at the time... Ok... so a mate is a partner, like soulmates for humans, but for us is stronger, once you met your mate you canì't live without them. They become your everything. Alphas can't work without their Luna. Probably the luna is the most important person in the pack. To answer your other question I found her. When our hands touch I feel sparks shooting through my arms, she smells heavenly to me, once she fell asleep in my arms and I slept with her, I couldn't think of anything else. That night she became my entire world. We were supposed to have a date, but some horrible men hurt her I almost lost it when I saw her like that...-

I didn't know how to feel, it could have been me, but I don't know if he has been with other women, but the way he was looking at me like he was waiting for me to realize that he was talking about me, got me the courage to ask:

- Are you telling me that I am your mate?-

- Yes I am, you Ambra are my mate and my luna-

- But how can I be your mate? I am human, I am no wolf for sure -

- The Moon Goddess paired us for a reason, and I couldn't be any happier about her choice.-

- But Ez, I'm broken, how can I be a luna if I don't even have a hold on myself? -

- Don't worry about that babe, and you are not broken, you have been hurt, and you are suffering, but you are strong, so much stronger than what you think. I won't let anything else happen to you. Now may I properly ask you on a date?-

- I would love to go on a date with you, but I don't have anything to wear...-

- Don't worry about that, I already took care of it, I was just hoping you would have said yes-

He asked me out! OH MY GOD! I can't believe it. I got so excited that I forgot to answer him. When I heard him clear his voice I realized he was still waiting for my answer.

- Are you still waiting for my answer?-

- Yes I am, but you were too cute to watch... you became all red and you had that beautiful smile on your face...-

- The answer is yes, of course, it is-

I could see his face change and open into a beautiful smile. Suddenly he hugged me and I couldn't help but I returned the hug and sparks were shooting all over my body, it felt amazing.

- I'll pick you up at 7... you'll find your things in your room, and if you want I can ask Jason's mate to come and help you get ready, but only if you are comfortable with that-

- Thank you, Ez, that would be amazing, I don't know anyone here yet, it would help a lot. It would be amazing to have friends over here.-

I could tell he was mind linking someone because his eyes went white for a moment when his eyes came back to normal and he told me that Marta would have been at my room in ten minutes.

- Why so soon?-

- She said that is already late, and that it would be a miracle to have you ready on time-

- I'll better hurry up then and get back to my room-

After our conversation in the office, I ran back to my room, when I entered I found this huge box on my bed, I was going to open it but there was a knock on the door.

When I opened the door in front of me there was this beautiful girl, with curly deep red hair, green eyes and she was tiny compared to the other wolves.

- Hi I'm Marta, you should be Ambra, right?-

- Yes I am, Ezra told me you were coming over to help me get ready -

- Yes, girl and we are already late, so we will better start... first thing first shower, scrub and shave every inch of your body when you are done I'll take care of your hair and your makeup. Chop Chop!-

She is defiantly something, I got in the shower and did as I was told. I did everything in less than 12 minutes and when I came out I got scolded because it took me too long... While she was doing my hair and makeup we talked a little and she told me about herself, being a human who found out about this world when Jason met her at the restaurant where she was working. She told me how difficult it was at the beginning to be here and not be like the others, they never let her feel like an outcast, but she really felt a member of the pack when Jason turned her into a werewolf after the mating ceremony, because when she was human and she was only marked by Jason she was only able to mind link him and also she couldn't feel the mate bond as much as she does now. She told me she is the future beta female, and that if I accept Ezra I will be his Luna, and she told me she already know that I am his world, she told me how he reacted to everyone when I was injured, and how much he cares about me, and I don't know how to describe the sensation I had inside me, I was sad because he was so worried about me, but at the same time it reassured me about his intention towards me, he wouldn't hurt someone he cares about. While she told me her story and I shared some pieces of mine, she got my hair and makeup done, and let me say I couldn't recognize myself, she curled my hair to soft waves and she did wonderful natural makeup, she was an artist. It was finally time to open the big box on my bed... Inside there was this amazing dress it was a deep green, almost the same colour as my eyes, next to the dress there was a pair of pitch-black high heels and a bag the same color as the shoes, I was speechless, it was too much, but I didn't have time to think about it because Marta was already putting me in the dress. When we looked at the time, we realized we made it just in time, right after we heard a knock on the door when I opened it the most amazing man ever was standing right in front of me, he was wearing a classic tux, he was so handsome.

- Wow Am, you are breathtaking-

- Thank you, Ez, you look awesome too-

- Shall we? The limo is waiting for us outside-

When he mentioned the limo I couldn't believe him, but when we stepped outside the house the car was actually there, and the driver was waiting for us. We hopped in, and once we were buckled in the driver took off, but I didn't know where he was taking us, Ezra said it was a surprise.
