Chapter 3

After I had lunch with my friends I went back home, trying to fix everything for tomorrow, because Ezra will be coming here to finish the English assignment, and I don't want him to see how broken I am. 

I was 8 years old when my father left us for good, I don't miss him at all, he was a scary person, always angry with mom, now I think he was hitting her in past, but that I can't know for sure since both mom and my sister died in a car accident 3 years ago. I was 20 when it happened, I couldn't believe that my mother got in the car and decided to drive it while she was drunk, she missed a stop and that's the moment I lost them both. It is still hard to process everything, but eventually, I'm getting through it. Sasha and Demi know I live by myself, they don't know about my past yet, I couldn't bring myself to tell them. At night when I sleep, I have such horrible nightmares that I usually wake up screaming and I can't fall asleep again. 

While I'm home I decided to clean the entire house, I went to buy groceries and around 6.30 pm I left my house to get to work. It's a 15 minutes walk but I don't like it since it's dark and the Diner where I work is kind of isolated, but the money I get from work I use to survive, so I can't afford to buy a car. I like to work at the diner the clients are always nice and they tip me well, and I might say I'm good at it, in less than 3 months since I started I became the head waitress. I like it here, even though when you are a bit under the weather you still have to smile through the entire shift, and sometimes it is not so easy. I always worked at night because I've always had school, so I'm used to being out late and up early in the morning but when the weekend comes I always take it to myself to get spend the day with my friends and to read. 

Once home at 2 am I took a shower and went straight to bed, tomorrow is going to be a long day.

EZRA POV'S

I followed her home, I know I shouldn't have but Eniach wouldn't stop whining in my head. Tomorrow I'm supposed to come here for the assignment, but I can't bring myself to be away from her. Once I'm at her house I watch her, while she cleans the entire house, She seems upset, maybe I should have listened when she said that her house was not the best idea for our meeting, but at that moment I found myself wanting to know more of her life. After cleaning the house I watch her while she takes the bus to the local market and she buys groceries, what surprised me is that she doesn't buy a big amount of that but just what looks like enough for one person. Once she is back home she neatly puts away everything and then she walks out again, but this time she goes to a Diner. While I watch through the window I see her walking around dressed as a waitress. 

- Mate is not only smart, but she is amazing-

- Eniach you are drooling-

- Oh shut up you asshole, you are the one following her-

-Only because you keep whining like a girl- 

And he goes silent again, I love him, he is my spirit wolf but we don't usually talk unless it is necessary. 

At some point, while watching her working I find myself growling, and when I realize it is me, I'm shocked, but I feel jealous, this guy is looking at her and he looks too flirty to my liking. While keeping an eye on this i***t, I keep looking at her, and it's like she is dancing through the entire shift. I'm surprised when she arrives home at two in the morning. She said to meet at 9 at her place when she texted me the address, how will she be well-rested?

Once she is home I finally go home, and I already know my parents are going to be all over the place because I'm late and I didn't let them know. Exactly as how I predicted once, I stepped inside the packhouse my mother was already screaming and yelling at e for being late, but I couldn't care less, right now I was just happy because I got the chance to see her. 

In the morning I left to head over to her place, and when I got there her intoxicating smell wrapped around me and I found myself happy.

- Look at you, mister I don't need a mate now smiling only smelling her-

- Ok maybe I was wrong, but I'm not ready yet-

- Oh trust me you definitely are-

I was going to knock on the door but already found it open whit her beautiful eyes staring at me like I'm some kind of stupid teenage boy.

-H...Hi, I brought you some breakfast, may I come in?-

- Hello to you too, yes of course, how are you? -

- Kinda tired yesterday night I went home pretty late, what about you?-

- Worked late but nothing out of ordinary-

I don't understand if she wants me to ask her more or if she is just annoyed with being here. She leads me to the kitchen where we have breakfast and then we start to work on the assignment. When we decide to take a break, it's already 1 in the afternoon.

- Look I'm starving, why don't we order take out from the diner close by?-

- You look dumb most of the time, but the keyword is "look" - she is teasing me

- Seriously are you calling me dumb? I did most of the work back there-  I pout, and she giggles, that's definitely the most amazing sound I ever heard.

- So Mr "I did everything" are you gonna call the diner or do I have to do that too?-

- Don't need to get angry I'm already calling-

After I ordered we set the table and we prepare something to drink along with the burgers, once we are done the doorbell rings and I go to pay and take the food in. While we are eating I can see her looking at me from time to time, I on the other hand I'm blatantly staring at her. She is perfect. While she is looking at her plate I can feel Eniach pushing forward, he wants to see her, and I let him. Once he gives me back the control I can tell he is happy with the goddess choice.
