(Diamond’s POV)

What just happened? I was just bringing some cupcakes and cookies to put on the food table, when everyone froze. I could see everyone, even those behind me. I could not feel or reach my aunts.

Opal what is going on? Did you just see everyone freeze? She just nodded her head. We dropped off the baked goods and turned to see if we could find Hatte. I had told her I would meet her here. I saw her earlier talking to one of the guys, then she seems to have disappeared. Strange, oh well, I’ll see her at the dorm room later I guess.

All of a sudden I got the most ominous feeling. Opal are we in danger? Opal did not respond. Lavi, Ruby, Ria, Serenity anyone? I am very afraid. Please help me. I am not sure what is going on.

I heard Serenity first, that’s odd normally she makes a production of her arrival. Diamond, dear I need you to breathe just like we practiced for years. Turn north and give control to Opal.

All of a sudden I feel of them giving me a family hug. These hugs have always made me feel so loved. This hug seemed so unlike any other, all of my aunts are ugly crying. I am very scared now. I have never seen them ugly cry. I am used to them, especially Ruby, quietly allow tears to run down their faces.
