Diamond’s Domain

Lavender’s gift.

Aunt Serenity snapped her fingers and poof more lavender vanilla mist. I turned to her and said really every time. Do you not know how to use normal transportation? We have multiple vehicles and yet you use none of them, honestly why do we even buy them.

She did not say one word about my rant, she just lifted her hand and pointed just north of me.

In training, our mentors teach us to always face north, think north, chant north, meditate north, and breathe north. Our ancestors guide us in our gifts, blessings, powers and honors from the north. We can connect with them only if we are one with the North.

I turned in face north that’s when I saw her. The most beautiful baby I have ever seen. She was the child in my visions her eyes began to sparkle.

Her eyes and hands now both are emitting a warm fuchsia aura. She was so peaceful and made no sound, but her eyes smiled to me.

I ran as fast as I could to her. I just knew I could still save her, I reached down into the snow and ice and I picked up her beautiful sparkling body. Her fuchsia aura warmed all of us, and she reached with her hand and touched my Aunt’s arm. Smiling I held her other hand and could feel the warmth admitting from it, I didn’t even realize I was crying until Ruby asked what was wrong and I said there’s nothing wrong.

He asked us to care for her. He asked us to raise her. He asked us to take her in as our own. She was cooing as I rocked her and my heart swelled with love for this sweet little angel. He left her here for us. My eyes were cloudy with tears. I felt my sister slide her arm around my waist and then she too was balling. Ruby started to sing blessing of love and health over her when all of a sudden, my arms were empty.

I looked up and towards the north, all I could see was a trail of lavender mist and fuchsia sparkles.

I looked up at Mama who turned her eyes from me, then to my sister who was bent over crying right into the snow. I looked at my arms again and they were empty.

Serenity was gone and so was the baby. I looked at Ruby and asked am I awake or are you in my vision? Ruby’s eyes were so sad she didn’t even need to answer. I could see it in her face. She said we are awake.

I looked at Mama and asked where did Serenity take her?

Mama sighed deeply then knelt beside me and said; Serenity took her to the King’s guard. All orphans must go to the palace. The King will take care of her.

I looked to Mama, and screamed, SHE IS BLESSED he will kill her. Mama you said our gifts must always be hidden from the King.

Mama, I cried the man in the vision asked me to raise her as one of our own. How could Serenity do this without even talking to me about it? Why did she just pop and leave again?

Lavender, my love, Mama started Serenity also had a vision. She took the baby as the law of this Domain requires. She is already with the Royal guard. Your Aunt will return soon. Come now she said let us be heading home to receive Serenity when she gets there.

I was torn between my vision and Serenity’s. I had no choice right now but to follow Mama’s plan. I spent the whole trip home crying and thinking about how I could bring up conflicts in visions at my training session later. I knew Ruby could feel my pain, she always does. She just silently walked beside me. It was the longest fifteen minute walk of my live’s.

Just as we reached the porch I heard a baby cry, and someone shushing the baby. I ran up the porch, and into the house, that’s when I froze. Serenity was bouncing the sparkling baby in her arms and looking straight at us.

Mama found her voice first, sister dear I thought we agreed upon following the laws in this Domain; why do you still have her?

Serenity signaled for all of us to sit and lower our voices. She then explained the King sent her to the Domains orphanage.

The she wolf who protects the orphaned informed both His Royal Majesty’s guard and myself that the orphanage was full. She had nowhere to place the baby temporarily either. The war has impacted everyone. The guard asked if we would take the baby until a space opens up for her.

I turned to face Mama who was sitting by the North window, and said we must keep her that was the vision. Mama just nodded her head and said, the ancestors have spoken. Her name is Diamond and we are to raise her here.

The ancestors said we will know when it is time to begin her training until then she is to receive the best education possible about this Domain.

Mama sighed again and said the ancestors showed her a glimpse of Diamond’s future; it is going to take all of our collective powers, blessings, gifts and honors to prepare Diamond for her future.

Ruby was the first to recover from Mama’s declaration, yeah Serenity is going to live with us again.

Aunt Serenity got that little smirk she gets when she is working on a plan. I took Diamond from Serenity’s arms as we never know what she will come up with for a plan, it is sometimes very odd.

Mama watched her sister closely as Ruby and I took Diamond to the north window and watch the snow fall.

I just barely heard Serenity snap her fingers, when the house trembled and shook. I looked at my aunt in utter confusion as she shrugged her shoulders and said, we needed an upgrade.

I took Diamond to her new nursery and got her ready for bed. Ruby was organizing everything new that our aunt snapped into this newly expanded home.

I finally got some peace filled sleep that night as I slept on a pallet in Diamond’s room.
