Time for a run (Opal & Onyx)

Alright Onyx spill, you are dying to tell me something without our humans.

“First off Opal you are the most majestic being I have seen, and your kiss from Mother is sparkling and glowing like hers does.”

I headed to the lake to see what this nut job is talking about. She did say she was sharing more of her gifts. I guess this is must one.

I saw my fur too, gorgeous.

It is normally white as freshly fallen snow. Today it is still white, but it iridescent and sparkling. Damn I look good! I pranced around a little by the lake, then I turned.

I looked at Onyx who is supposed to be the largest Lucan in the Domain. I was looking right over him. I must be close at a foot taller.

His jet black fur was also sparkling, and Mother’s mark shined bright where she kissed him.

Hey tough guy, I called to him, come check out your new additions.

Onyx bounced over and was in awe of himself. He looked to me twice to see if I was using some form of magic on him.

Finally, I told him, I think Jazzy probably has one too from our meeting with Mother.

He nodded.

He took a step back and c****d his head to one side staring at me.

Onyx stop playing around are we going to run or not?

Yes let’s race to the edge of the Palace grounds. Come on Opal let’s go.

Ok, just remember you asked for it. Opal, love, you have not won a race in several centuries with me, I think we both know who will win.

Let’s go Opal, said as she ran past Onyx.

Oh, so now you want to play, ok, bring it on.

I was laying down at the Palace grounds enjoying the sun, the snow and the beautiful view, when Onyx got there, I was a good five minutes ahead of him.

What happened to you? He asked me.

I told you not to challenge me, I told you, I’ll hurt your pride.

You will be fine you are still the second fastest in the Domain.

Onyx rolled up a snowball with his muzzle and tossed it at me, the nerve.

Onyx that’s cold. I play, huffed at him.

He pranced over to me and nuzzled up to warm up my muzzle and maybe put his scent all over me too.

Onyx we need to get back, we have guests coming over.

Onyx put out his paws and laid his head down and pouted. He turned to me with his pouty face on. Could we let our humans know?

Oh Onyx I’m not sure. I hope soon my love. I laid my head down on his paws too, come on big boy we have a party to throw.

Let’s put in the Dalmatian movie; Onyx pounced like a pup.

I full on rolled my eyes and shoulder nudged him. Fine, I very dramatically huffed to him, as long as you know we are not have 101 pups.

Keep talking to me like that and we won’t make it to the party.

I am doing all I can right to hold back my need to put a pup in you now.

Onyx you are such a tease, I hollered and walked up next to him, and nuzzled close.

Hey Onyx, let’s pull down our blocks so our humans can see us. They still won’t be able to talk but, I think Diamond will love you immediately.

Yeah, I know she will, I am very lovable.

We cautiously opened the wall and the stared at each other, both had their eyes glazed over. It was obvious we were both communicating with their humans.

Come on Love, we will be late to our own party let’s go.

“Opal”, Diamond asked “Did you just hear that? Did he call us Love?”

“Yes Diamond my dear he did.” Opal softly answered her.

Onyx pounced right in front of us, “Diamond, my sweet Love, you can hear me?”

“Ummm yes, sir, I can” Diamond very timidly stated.

Onyx is quite upset that Diamond seems afraid of him, “Love what is wrong? I will never hurt you.”

Diamond took several calming breaths and said “you have a crown and the mark of the moon goddess on your forehead. I am just an orphan. I actually hoped the bullies would stop in college. I was wrong.

Apparently my dorm mate is the future Queen and she is just so, mean to me. When we talked over the summer she was sweet and kind. I guess something must of happened at the Crown Princes’ Birthday, because from the time she got to the dorm she has been such a big bully to me.

I am actually very afraid of having this party tonight. I do not want to upset her more. She is the one who threw me into the circle of people who hurt me.”

A tear dropped from Opals eye, causing Onyx to growl.

Onyx told both of us, he will make sure no one is hurtful to his Loves tonight.

Onyx told me privately, “I might just stay in half control so I can make sure all is well.”

I just nodded. I think that is wise. You will have to keep your human in line as well.

She couldn’t speak anymore, because she was full of Diamond’s feelings.

Opal, chose to contact Serenity instead.

Serenity dear, I need help.

Serenity was quick to respond “Opal, what do you need? How can I help you? I am here to serve you always.” Serenity flashed a bow into my mind.

Serenity please, “we lost track of time and Diamond’s friends invited themselves to an impromptu party again. Would you please get the room and food prepared and apparently Onyx would like to watch the movie about 101 pups.”

“Awe so adorable” Serenity said in her sweet angelic voice, “you guys really want 101 pups?”

Ummm nope no way I did not miss a beat, I growled at Serenity and stated “absolutely not! I’ll have him neuter first!”

That got a guttural growl crossed with a pathetic whine out of Onyx.
