Lavender‘s POV
Ruby, I think I’m gonna call it a day after all that we’ve been through last few days I think I’m gonna close the shop early.
Oh, Lavi, I have got this, just let me stay and I will close later you go rest; my sister called back to be from the front of our store.
Ruby you know what Mama and Serenity said the last time, my gift is an honor to be cherished not used as an excuse to get out of training, lessons, chores or work.
I know that Ruby is right and she is only trying to help me, my sister really is the only one who truly understands everything about me. You would think we were twins, but no she is my baby sister by 10 months. I would remind her again, except I am just too exhausted. I really believe the time has come. I need to tell Mama how draining this recent set of visions have been. Mama always says she cannot fix what she doesn’t know is broken. I just do not want to add more stress on Mama; asking her for this shop was already pushing the limits.
I could just pop over to see Serenity and talk to her about my current dilemma, however I just do not know enough about them. I can’t just tell Serenity; oh hi how are you doing and I am having visions of a baby with sparkling fuchsia eyes lying in the snow by a river, oh and yeas that is all I know. I have to give her more information before she can help me understand my visions. She loves me and would do anything to help me with my gift, even she has to have more information in order to help me decipher these visions.
Ruby side hugged me and just said Sister you know I worry about you, as a tear slid down her cheek. These visions are getting harder and harder for you to understand and they’re draining you so much. I worry for you. This is supposed to be a blessing, a gift. That is what He told us remember?
You know Rubs I think you might be right. I probably should tell Mama how draining the visions are becoming and then they’re getting more and more intense with each group of visions I get.
My sister lovingly swatted me with her dusting rag and said of course I am right. I am always right.
Rolling my eyes at her and shrugging my shoulders in defeat I said; “Oh Rubs I love you, I am so happy we have each other here at the store together. I know Mama says it’s more work on her at home. I think we should look into hiring some part time help for Mama. I really need you here with me.”
Ruby’s ear to ear smile was worth every bit of the lecture I am going to have to endure.
Lavi! Ruby excitedly started, and then poof the whole store was filled with the beautiful light misting of lavender and vanilla.
Welcome Aunt Serenity. I hugged her. Are you aware we have a door? You don’t have to come in and mist our store every time it is so much to clean up all of the drops of oil and water everywhere. I asked her when she went to hug Ruby.
Well, if you don’t want my help, just say so and I will be on my way Serenity huffed. I do have my own gift to work on you know. I rolled my eyes. She is my aunt and I do need her help.
Since you are already here, I huffed at her, I do have an issue. Maybe you can help me work out what I am missing.
I keep having visions they’re getting clearer each time. I am just afraid I might be too late, by the time I understand all of the visions together. I know you told me never to act hastily with my gift, wait until I am positive, but I am scared this time, Aunt Serenity, she is such a beautiful baby girl. She’s laying by a frozen lake in the snow no blankets nothing to keep her warm. She’s got the most beautiful, fuchsia eyes I have ever seen.
There is a golden haze that glows around her. Her eyes and hands see to emit a light of their own. The lights have been different hues each time I see her.
I am so drawn to her. I want to help her find her family or for them to find her; I just don’t have enough information for anyone to find her. I am sure someone is missing her terribly.
Just as I finished, trying to explain to my aunt exhaustion took over and I fell into one of my sleeping trances.
Immediately she was there . Hello, little one my name is Lavender I would love to help you. Can you give me any clue where you are or who your parents are?
I cannot believe this another vision, and this time I’m speaking to a newborn infant. Of course she can’t give me information. What is wrong with me?
Then I hear it the most angelic voice I’ve ever heard, and he almost sings to me. He tells me to follow the light and I will save her.
He pleaded with me, please hurry for she is almost out of time. Lavender he choked out, please love her and care for her as if she were your own child.
When I opened my eyes, I realized Ruby had placed a cold rag on my head again. Then she asked, or really more like stated, the vision again?
I nodded my head, I’m so exhausted I can barely nod my head. Ruby lifted the healing elixir to my lips, and as soon as I drop hit, my eyes fluttered and I sat up. I am still so exhausted from the vision I did not notice my aunt had her hands in mine as she spoke in our ancient language.
I could feel Ruby’s panic and fear. I could feel Serenity holding my hands, but it’s like I wasn’t there. My own body would not respond for me, I was numb.
As I heard Serenity continue to chant in our language a gust of wind blew through the store and I knew instantly Mama was there.
Mama’s face was creased with concern, however she remained silent and still while her sister continued to chant over me. Mama looked over to Ruby and she too could sense her panic. Mama was almost to Ruby when the whole store lit up in the same Golden Light I saw watching over the baby.
I started to try and explain, when Serenity said let’s go it is time!
