Should I invite Hatte to the party tonight? Would that make it easier? I think Aunt Ruby would say it’s the right thing to do.

“ I’m not sure that’s the best idea” said Opal

Well, you always know what is best for us, so I’ll just follow lead.

Oh, Opal, I kind of like that guy he seemed down to earth and I know you like Onyx, but why do you keep blocking us? Why don’t you want Onyx want Ama and I to know both of us? Opal, he makes my insides so bubbly.

Opal? Did you get help?

“I may have spoke to somebody.” She snickered then turned away from me so I couldn’t see her smirking. I guess she forgets we can see each others thought.

Why does everything look ready to go? Opal answer me what did you do?

“Diamond, you’re such a killjoy. Who do you call if you wanna throw a party? Who throws the best parties?” Opal giggled at me.

Hattie POV

I am so f*****g over her already.

Why did the Crown Prince think she would be the one to help me ? It’s completely, outrageous she doesn’t do anything by protocol.

She’s never here when I need her. She must be one of his charity cases.

I couldn’t even invite the Crown Prince over today, because she didn’t have anything set up. How do you not have your stuff set up?

Mom would have already sent her packing. She is lucky I am much more understanding.

Earlier she was babbling on about Ms. Sue and how she cannot wait to go spend some time with orphanage with those other kids. She actually asked me to go to.

Hello, you’re supposed to be taking care of me not the rest of the orphans. One month just one more month and I will see her die in the dungeons.

I can’t wait till I get my beast between being a queen and my beast. I will rule this dominion.

Mom is going to be so proud. She will love this dormitory.

I know, I’m having her come over tonight. I can show her and Dad what my Prince has done for me.

I think I’ll make dinner. Yeah that sounds like a great idea.

Mom, can you and Dad come over for dinner tonight at 20:00?

I can’t wait to tell them about being the Queen. I think tonight we have Mom‘s favorite venison loin, roasted with rosemary and thyme, garlic, mashed potatoes, and Mom‘s favorite dessert lemon cake.

I certainly do not think that’s not too much to ask of Diamond.

She’s been off all day and she had time to make all of those baked things for some stupid Rook party. She wasn’t supposed to be at, I don’t think she’s allowed to participate in all the activities, just classes.

I’ll leave a note that she needs to get everything set up and nice intimate. I guess I have to go get my own rose oil.

“Hatte, Hatte, Hatte dear did you hear me?” Mom was shouting at me.

Oh, sorry I got lost in planning and my thoughts, so you and Dad at 20:00, good?

“Yes it will be lovely. Except it might just be me, I have not heard from your dad yet today.” Mom informed me.

Opal oh, no, she left us a list. It looks like she’s having a dinner.

But you know the ancestors told me that there’s consequences for every amount of magic use there is dark magic someone else can use. I don’t want to add to the dark magic.

“I understand I’ll take care of it. Snap to it now I’m assuming you want her to have her private dinner in her study. This will keep the two parties separated. I think that’s best.”

I don’t know what to wear last time we had a party or who was around their pajamas but we’re gonna have a man here. I can’t wear my pajamas.

“Sure you can, why not tell him it is a pajama party. Girl you need to live a little.” Opal scolded me.

It looks like we have everything ready and 10 minutes to spare

Knock, knock not only are the girls here they all dates so apparently this is gonna be movie date night. OK, I guess I should’ve gotten dressed. Thankfully my sweats actually look like an outfit.

I said to Aria, I need about five more minutes can you entertain everybody for a couple minutes? There is a charcuterie board there’s some hors d’oeuvres help yourselves.

“I got this we were a little bit early. We just so got extra excited cause you throw the best parties. Thanks for letting us bring extra people we appreciate it.” Aria squealed at me while running past me.

No problem you know I always make extra food. I have somebody coming too so we’re all good.

I went back to my room, changed into some nice jeans, crop top, braided my hair on the side and noticed something in the mirror

Opal, Opal, do you know anything about this tattoo on my back that’s coming up on the right side of my neck? I don’t remember getting a tattoo.

“Don’t you remember the ancestors telling you that when you’re mated to certain people, you will get the markings of that person, some alphas, some royalty, and some warriors.

It can happen when a human has been blessed with a beast that mother has given her special blessing upon. You both, start to develop tattoos and markings that complete the other mate’s.” She scolded me, as well as danced in our mind.

OK, well, I guess I’ll make it easier in one aspect I’ll know who my mate is faster.

“Diamond, we already know our mate, we just have to wait for him to know us.” Opal started to explain.

“Yes, I am, I am positive we know our mate.” She finished.

If we know our mate; why did we go for that run with Onyx and why did we let him put his smell on us? Oh no, I don’t think that was a smart move.

If we already have a mate and you know who our mate is that was so wrong of us.

“Let me handle this. I know what to do you finish putting make up on and we will be good.” Opal stated and started dancing again.

Good idea, I do have a few more things to do. It shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes and everybody will be here..
