I have to admit the building actually fits well as a place of entertainment. The pews provides the seating and the spot where the vicar would have addressed his congregation, a raised area at the front, now serves as the stage.
I have handed over sixpence, three-pence for each of us … the price having gone up since I last visited during my youth when I had paid only a penny … and I follow Gina to a small empty space on a back pew.
