If I am going to spend so much time in the company of an Alpha, I am going to have to get some new clothes. The shirt and skirt I wore today isn’t as fine as the ones I had worn yesterday, and tomorrow's would be even less fine than today's. But as I stand behind the counter pouring beer for one customer after another, trying to determine when in my schedule I might be able to arrange a trip to the dressmaker's, I realize I am not going to change myself for him.
While my coffers are far from empty these days, I don’t need a lot of fancy clothes for work, and once we find his bride … which could be this very afternoon … I will not be seeing him again, so why spend precious coins on clothing that wouldn't be worn for long when the silver can be put to better use ?
