Chapter 3 : New Secretary

"Hmm. Aurora Eleanor Davis and Ace Elijah Johnsons." he mumble while holding his chin acting he's thinking of something.

I released a heavy sighed and continue again to read.

"What a coincidence!" he exclaimed suddenly, while he raise his index finger.

I boredly raise my eyes to him to give him a look. Then, he look me excitedly and he drag his hands in my table.

"What?" I ask him, then pay my attention to the papers again.

"Ace Elijah and Aurora Eleanor!" he exclaimed again and dart his eyes to me.

"So?" I replied to him and sign the paper Im holding.

"Urgh! I think your the one who's drunk in here!" he said with a frustrated manner.

"I thought you were on your right senses right now. But I guess, Im wrong." I mumbled those words and as expected he make faces at me.

Like sticking his tounge out, to add more tease.

"I am not!" he retorted and cross his arms and here he goes his famous pouty lips.

"Whatever." I said boredly and take another paper to read.

"But it's really a coincidence!" he still insist thoose words again and he add some actions trying to persuade me to agree with him.

"The what?" I boredly ask him again and signed the paper.

"What?! You are the wise man I've ever know and you didn't know what Im trying to point out??!" he said and I raise my head to give him a glance. And there I saw my tipsy friend was frustrated right now.

"I am wise man than you." I said and grab another paper to read.

"You didn't even get my point!" he exclaimed to me.

"People have different opinion, perspectives, and beliefs. If you didn't want to tell me the direct point. So, its a blur to me to find out accurately." I explain to him that makes him face palm.

"But I must the one to do that?" I said on my mind.

"Your name initials!" he said and he let me watch his hands was clenching on the air.

"So?" I retorted and sign the paper I approved.

I take another paper again and read wisely.

"You and your new secretary has the same name initials! A and E!" he exclaimed again like it was 'the obvious thing and I can't even get it.' or 'Are you stupid or your just blind?'

"And what's your point?" I ask again when I start to signed the paper.

"IT'S A DESTINY!" he exclaimed again with a high tone that make my signature turn into the worst thing I entirely wrote ever.

My eye grew bigger while looking to the paper and also my mouth gaped widely. I can't believe this, in a very first time.

"Its your destiny dude!" he excitedly announce and his eyes start to survey in his surrondings with a smile plastered to his face.

I look at him, and squint my eyes to him.

"Luiz" I call him and you can sense that my voice getting darker.

"I know, I know! Its amazing, right?!" he happily commented and he didn't even give me a glance.

"Luiz." I call him in a second time.

"What look she have be? Hmm. Base on the name, I think she's beautiful that can make you fall than your last secretary." he said while nodding that he was agree by his own stupid opinion.

"Luiz!" I said in a higher voice than my second call to him.

"I know you're excited, dude! Be pa-" he cut his own words when he gave me a glance that make him gulped.

"You're. Talking. Nonsense." I said darkly to him that make him gulped another time.

"Did I do something bad?" he asked in a low voice and fidgeting his fingers. Sign that he was nervous.

"Bigtime" I darkly only said to him.

I drop my pen and he look down to the pen. He bite his lips when he glance the paper I signed and saw my signature are now ruined.

"Hehehe" he commented nervously and clasped his hands together trying to change the tension he felt.

"Yo-" before I can complete the words that I want to say. When he suddenly run out to my office then shout. "I LOOVE YOUU DUDE!"

I stressfully lay my back to the chair and slowly massage my temples.

"Why did I have a friend like him?" I ask silently and place the paper that has my ruined signature to the side and continue my business again.

My daily routine had a little changes. Starting when I fired my secretary, on how Luiz get stupidly drunk, on how I make a smirk for the new secretary, and how Luiz just ruin my signature that make a history in my life for the first ever!

I just made a mistake in my own signature!

I've been thinking that I should frame it?

Since this one was part of my history. I mean it's the very first time I just messed up with my own signature.

Should I display that in my room of the mansion or do I need to sell this to the reporter, since it can be a big hit in news.

I was popular for being a wise and perfect CEO anyways.

But, it can create a big scandal. Since people are so easy to judge than to believe.

But I have money, I can always win anytime.

Well I think that, I wont send my one history in life to the reporter.

It will be one of my sentimental, thanks to my stupid drunk friend.

"Mr. Johnsons, would you like to invite your new secretary to your office?" Fuentes asked.

My assitants is completely present in my office. They were formally standing up in left side of the office.

"And why would I do that?" I ask him, while I signed the same copy of the paper that has my ruined signature.

I decided lately to frame the original paper that has my ruined signature.

"It's my recommendation, Mr. Johnsons." Fuentes politely reply.

"And?" I ask him again and raise my eyebrow to him.

"It's better to judge your new secretary in person than their datas in papers, Mr. Johnsons." he continued and bow a little with a small satisfied smile plastered to his face.

"Oh? You think so?" I ask him and tilt my head sideways.

"Yes, Mr. Johnsons." he answered and his satisfied smile was still visible.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles. But, have you forget that you suggest the same recommendation two months ago?" I mockingly said to him that make his smile gone.

"Uh, si-" I cut his words.

"I take a yes, that time. Right?" I added ask him and that make him bow his head.

"Yes, sir." he politely answer.

"Now, what happen?" I ask him again that he immediately close his mouth that form a thin line.

"I let you check the papers, while Im judging her by appearance or by her presence. You stated her background details truthfully or white lies." I continue and grab another paper to read.

"But I know its the truth. Since I truly trust you, Fuentes." I said and signed the paper again.

"The paper of their bio data was important. It laid their experience, it holds as their evidence that they have been once on that field." I explain to him and he didn't dare to talk back.

"And that's why there was a promise page when I hired my secretary today." I added to him and gave him a glance and I see that he raise his head.

"This new secretary caught my attention and I will observe her while doing her part. So, no need to worries." I stated and he obediently nodded.

"You are now dismissed." I officially stated to them and they bow their heads a little then make their way out from my office.

....

Now, it's 7 o'clock in the evening and Im currently make my way out of my office while holding my suitcase.

I was walking my way to the elevator and press the ground floor of the company.

When I heard the elevator's bing a sign that I am now in my floor destination.

I walk formally, every staff in my company stop their walk and bow their head a little while Im walking out to the company with the screaming authority within me.

I can sense that they we're scared to fired out their own position if they were going to against me.

I grab my car keys and press the unlock button. I heard my Lambo from afar, while Im walking to his direction.

I smoothly open the door, and hopped in. I settle again my breifcase in the passenger seat.

I let my Lambo to heat for a while and when Im satisfied. I drive out away from my company.

....

Im still driving my way home, tapping my finger in the steering wheel. When someone call my phone.

My eyes are still settle at the road, while my other hand grab the phone and swipe the call to answer without looking at the caller.

"This is Ace Johnsons CEO of Johnsons Liqiour Corporation. What's your report?" I formally said to the caller.

But instead, to answer me formally. The caller was just laughing that make my brows furrowed and take a peak of the caller.

To find out, it's Luiz.

"Im gonna report Ace for being a wise man and he didn't even donate just a small I.Q. to his only friend!" he said and laugh at the end.

"Everyone was smart. They just lazy to open a books to read." I retorted to him and he just laugh again.

"Im driving, Luiz." I said getting annoyed by his laugh.

"Oh? But first, donate your I.Q. first!" he said in the phone.

"Shut U-OOOH!" I scream immediately when there's a woman passing the street and my Lambo was moving fast.

I immediately take an action and madly kick the brake of my Lambo.

Just in time, it stops in a one more step on the woman. The area was covered by smoke due to the brake.

"Dude! What's wrong?" Luiz ask I clench my phone and answer him.

"Talk to you later." I said

"Wa-" his words were cut when I end the call immediately.

I get out of my car, and swiftly close the door. I walk near to the women who was checking the bumper of my Lambo.

"Thank goodness, there's no scratch." I heard a sweet voice from the woman who I almost bump by my Lambo.

It make me stop for taking another step to her. I want to yell at her about her clumsiness. But..

"Im sorry about my clumsiness. Im in a hurry." she said by using her natural voice but I found out to be a sweet voice and smile apologetically to me.

"No! What if you bump into my car! It will create a big scandal against to my company!" I want to rant at her but instead I say her this...

"It's okay, next time be careful miss.." I calmly said but my mind was against from the words I said to her.

"Aurora, Sir." she said and smile again to me. Infact it was genuinely smile, there's no fakeness in her smile.

"Oh, Im Ace Johnsons." I replied to her but still my face was showing no emotion at all.

"Damn it! You are not this, Ace!" my mind screaming with negativity but my words was affected by her aura who was full of positivity or anything that has good side.

"Mr. Johnsons?! Oh my god! Im really sorry! I didn't mean to! I swear! Oh my god." she said histerically and by her words she's to innocent about the cruelty of this world.

"Yes! Fear me! Im your Boss! Know your side!" my mind retorded and screaming to blame her.

"It's okay. There's no scratch right?" I ask her and take a glance to the bumper of my Lambo.

"Yes, Mr. Johnsons." she agreed and her smile came back again.

"HEY! MOVE YOUR CAR! YOUR CAUSING A TRAFFIC IN HERE!" someone shouted.

"What? Do you-" my words cut out when she interrupt it.

"Im sorry Mister for causing a trouble to you too. We're just settling the issue here, and it's done. Once again, sorry." she said and I hear her sweet voice again.

"So, Mr. Johnsons see you tomorrow!" she cheerfully wave her hand to me as she bid her goodbye and cross to the other side of the road.

I was watching her till I can't catch her up with my bare eyes.

"MOVE YOUR CAR LOVER BOY!" someone shouted again.

"SHUT UP OLD HAG!" I shouted back and quickly get back to my Lambo to drive my way back home.

In the middle of the darkness surrounded by smoke I see an angel in disguise with a radiant welcoming smile and a sweet voice.

And I didn't realize that this is the start that my life will totally change.
