Chapter 5 : Tie

"Good morning, Mr. Johnsons." the staff greeted me when I walk pass to them and I don't know why I feel irritated to their greetings right now.

"It's not that hard to greet back, isn't it?" she asked in a calm tone while trying to catch up to my pace.

I didn't answer her with an unknown reasons. I dont know. I feel irritated and I want to smash them all. This feeling was so surreal.

It's really new to me. Usually I got irritated by Luiz but I know that it's because of his annoying and stupid questions to me.

Now, its different. I didn't know, why. Why did I feel like this, like what for? It's because Luiz just really pissed me of? In what reason, it is just his stupid conclusion of destiny?!

My eyebrow got furrowed with that thought.

"s**t, this is really bad." I unconsciously stated, and mentally face palm myself on a thought that she heard that I just cussed.

"Are you okay?" she softly asked and it makes my eyebrow back to its normal then face her.

"Call a doctor of psychiatrist, appoint a check up later after our meeting with Mr. William. Locate the check up in my office." I command as I face her with no emotions at all.

"Uh, okay?" she answer unsurely while taking a look in my eyes and watch on her steps.

...

We we're currently at the car, and my secretary was beside me with a distance of one meter in between of us.

"Did you bring the papers?" I ask her while Im busy with my phone.

"Yes, Mr. Johnsons." she replied immediately.

"We're here, sir." Fuentes informed to us, when he park the car on the parking area of the meeting place.

"Check if Mr. Williams was there." I ordered him formally and he look to the reviewing mirror and bow a little then manage himself to get out to the car.

"Mr. Johnsons, there's something I wanna gave to you." she said, that made me look to her with a confusion look.

"It could help to your negotiation with Mr. Williams." she added and show me a black rectangle box with a yellow ribbon.

"And it would be my peace offering of my clumsiness yesterday." she said and open the box to find out it was a pastel yellow tie then she raise her head up to meet my eyes and smile genuinely to me.

"What the f**k?" I said in my mind while looking to the tie and her smile.

"In what way it would help me to Mr. Williams?" I ask her while my brow was still shot up.

"To change your aura a little." she anwer and smile sheeply to me.

"What's with my current aura then?" I ask her and turn my body to face her.

"You are intimidating and scary." she blurted out and immediately gasp then covered her mouth with her bare hands.

"Cute" I unconsciously mumble that and it make her brows meet a little, in a reason of confusion.

"Oh. So, the tie matters a lot to you?" I said while nodding a little to agree.

"What, did I really agree to her?!" I furiously ask myself through my mind that makes me stop of nodding in midway.

"Yes, and this tie. Uhm, well. Can lighten you aura a little." she explain with a her small hand actions.

"I don't think so" I replied and face infront to find something interesting.

"Well, just take this as my peace offering." She persuaded and offer the tie again.

"Oh, a peace offering. You can give it to your father." I reply boredly to her and I saw her sudden sad face but immediately bring back her happy face when she saw I was looking at her.

"What's with that?" I curiously ask in my mind.

"You are handsome, right?" she asked suddenly then fastly added to say " Can I wear this to you?" and it was too late to deny when I already answer.

"Yes, of course! Wait, what?" I ask immediately by the sudden added question she asked. She just made it to look like I just agree to let her do that.

"You agree. Be the man of your words." she said and then she giggles that make me stop to encounter her and she take that opportunity to take off my red tie.

I just watch her while she was changing my ties with her happy face and I felt her eyes just twinkled when she successfully put the pastel yellow tie on me.

After she was satisfied with the look of my tie, her eyes raised and meet my eyes that make her gulped.

In a reason of our short distance we have, then she immediately move away to me and settle herself.

"There, you look friendly with that!" she happily commented with a satisfied look on her face.

I saw there's no hint of anything that happened a seconds ago in her face. Like it was normal thing to her.

She make me anxious! It's not normal to me, tho! No one dare to touch my sleeve. Especially, my tie!

"What a brave woman, huh?" I sarcastically retorted in my mind.

I was about to remove the tie, but I saw her smile again and it make me doubt if I ever continue to remove this.

"Dang it!" I cuss inside my mind.

I've decided to remove the tie. When suddenly, someone knock on the window of the car door.

So, I let go of the tie for a moment and scroll down the window.

"He's here, sir." Fuentes inform me and it makes me alert.

Fuentes open the door and I smoothly get out of the car. While, on the other side. Fuentes assist my secretary to get off to the car.

When he's done to lock all the doors, he leads the way and I follow him immediately.

....

"Just in time! Good morning, Mr Johnsons!" he cheerfully welcome us, and lend his hand to me.

"Good morning, Mr. William" I said with a serious face and accept his hand to handshake it.

"The tie suits you well." he commented when I already settled myself to sit.

I take a glance to my secretary, and she just cheerfully smile to me then raise her thumb sign of 'that's good sign!'.

"Thanks to my secretary" I boredly say and Mr. Williams glance to her.

"Oh? Your name is?" he asked to her.

"Oops. Where's my manners." she said and chuckle a little then laid her hand.

"Im Aurora Eleanor Davis. The new secretary of Mr. Johnsons." she said and smile genuinely to Mr. William.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Davis." Mr. William accept her hand and shake their hands.

"Let's get back to business" I suddenly retorted to them that makes them chuckle a little.

"Well, someone is jealous." Mr. William mumble to my secretary, and I don't know if I call that mumble. When it was definitely cleared that I can hear them.

"Tch." I scoffed silently in my mind.

And with that the meeting starts immediately.

...

"Thank you for coming, Mr. Johnsons!? I hope our partnership in business will bloom soon enough." Mr. William said as he we shakes our hands.

"I hope so, Mr. William." I replied to him as our hands let go to each other.

"We're going now, Mr. William." she said formally and show her charming smile again.

"Take care! And, oh. You look friendly with your tie, Mr. Johnsons! Even your face didn't show any emotion." he said and smile widely.

"It is a good thing or the creepy one?" I ask and raise a brow to him.

"It was actually a good change, Mr. Johnsons." he corrected and laugh.

"I see, we're going." I declare and bow my head a little then make our way back to the car.

We settle our self in the car, to come back our way to the company.

....

We're currently now in the elevator, together with Fuentes and my secretary.

"The psychiatrist are there in my office?" I ask my secretary then I fix my tie straightly.

"Hmm, yes Mr. Johnsons. She's already in your office." she said and look at me with her doubtful eyes.

"Good, I want you all go to the meeting room. Its a private manner." I ordered them and then they politely nodded.

"Your tie was serve as your lucky charm, Sir." Fuentes commented and I gave him a glance.

"I don't believe in luck, Fuentes." I retorted back.

"People usually say luck when they're not confident enough, in every doings they do." I added and I heared the elevator bings. Sign that we're on the destination floor.

"As I said, you may go now in the meeting room." I announced again and walk alone to my office.

As I open the door in my office, I saw a woman in her formal casual attire.

"Dude, I know you we're worried to me. But, why did you call a psychiatrist! I need physician doctor, even it's not needed that much. But, dude seriously? Im not crazy, man!" someone suddenly exclaimed and his face was written with so much irritation.

Again, it was Michael Luiz Montevallo.

"Psychiatrist, it's for the people who need medical attention in their mental health. Psychiatrist's patients are not a crazy people, they were patient also. We called their patient a crazy people, because we can't understand the way they we're thinking." I explain to him while settling my briefcase on the usual spot of my things.

"Then, who need her?" he asked curiously.

"I think my I.Q. came back to the owner." I boredly said to him.

"So you we're saying Im back to being stupid?" he said dramatically.

"You were the one who told that." I retorted to him and glance to the doctor.

"Take a seat" I said to the doctor and signal to seat on the couch while I settle myself just infront of the couch of hers.

"So, you are the patient here?" he asked and then I look at him like 'You and your stupid questions again.'

"What do you think?" I boredly ask him and then he take a sit on one of the couch and scratch his chin as if he was thinking.

"No need to think, you have no brain at all." I sarcastically said to him and he dramatically clench his chest again.

"BAKA!" he shouted and smile proudly to me.

"I am not, you are the one." I said and smirk to him seeing he was shock that I can understand him.

"Go to the meeting room, we're talking something private." I said to him and saw his visible famous pouty lips.

"Aurora is there, right?" he asked immediately.

"Yes" I answer him while my face was drop.

"Yesss! Bye, dude! I know you we're crazy for her! I'll take care of her away from Fuentes!" he cheerfully exist his way out to the office.

"Sounds good." I unconsciously said in my mind and I mentally face palm of frustration.

"Is it normal that your mind and inner self fought against each other?" I ask to the doctor.

"Yes it is, if your doubting for something. Our minds we're battling if you do that or not. Then, what reason if you do that or why you did not agree with that." she explain to me.

"But too much overthinking leads to psychological problems such as anxiety and depression, although it's hard to know which happens first in each individual.?Sometimes, overthinking can lead to fresh, new ideas, it can also backfire, creating mental roadblocks that make it challenging to think in novel ways." she added and smile gently to me.

"When did your inner self and mind fought each other?" she slowly ask me like she was slowly to open something.

"When I nearly hit the woman by car accident." I confess to him and laid my back to the couch.

"Did she get hurt or something? Tell me more." she urged me

"Well, I just nearly hit her. I got out on my car and I was gonna yell at her, but I don't know. My mind was yelling at her clumsiness! But I said the opposite of what did my mind was yelling lately!" I frustratedly tell her and let my hand brush my hair out of frustration.

"I really didn't know! I was really about to yell to her, but she smile to me! Is this kind of virus, that affects my mental health or something by her smile that make my inner self into chaos?!?" I added and massage my temples.

"It's new to me, since the day she arrive! My mouth start talking opposite on what my mind said. My life cycle was ruined! Totally ruined!" I said in a frustrated manner.

"Look, I can pay any amount for the medicine you will prescribed. It doesn't matter how much does it cost. I just want to get rid of this surreal things that just happen in my mind! I can double your service after that." I said and look directly to her eyes directly as if Im negotiating a big problem to solved.

"I see no problems with that, Mr. Johnsons." she commented on all of my rants. She only said that.

"What?" I asked her unknowingly, provoking her to tell me more.

"I said there's no problem, its normal. When someone met their love ones at their first sight, its normal that their behaviour change." she concluded and cross her legs.

"There's no wrong when people fall inlove." she lastly commented and smile sweetly to me then settle her things.

And with that my mouth wide open in shock as the doctor left me alone in the office.

Leaving me speechless...
