EPISODE 9: The Apology

Principal's office.

TARA and SOHEEH stood with the PRINCIPAL.

Knock.

SEFIRAH entered. Head down. No makeup. Plain dress.

"Sir… I came to… apologize," she said quietly. "Before you all leave."

The Principal sighed. "The school board said you can collect your Waec result, but you cannot attend graduation."

Sefirah nodded, tears falling. She turned to TARA & SOHEEH.

"I'm sorry. Fikayo used me. I was jealous of you, Tara. You had everything — brains, beauty, Soheeh. I had… nothing but his promises."

TARA was quiet for a long time.

"Promises are expensive, Sefirah. Especially when you pay with people."

SOHEEH sighed. "You hurt her. You almost ruined me. But… hate is too heavy to carry to Uni."

TARA stepped forward. "I forgive you. But I won't forget. Grow. Do better. For the next Tara you meet."

Sefirah sobbed and left.

The Principal watched them. "Head Girl… you'll make a good leader someday. Bigger than this school."

TARA smiled. "I learned from the best, sir. Even when you were shouting."

They all laughed.

CHIKA peeked in from the door. "Forgiveness arc unlocked. Bitter? Her regret. Sweet? Tara’s maturity. I'm crying."
