Afrobeats. Lights. Gowns. The 8 Stars dressed to kill.

MISS JUMMY was supposed to be chaperone but she was dancing more than students.

DJ: "Welcome to Prom! First award: Prom King & Queen!"

OKIKI grabbed the mic. "Before you announce, I want to say something! Kate, you're the most sassy, most troublesome, most beautiful girl in Hamshat. Will you… keep shouting at me forever?"

KATE rolled her eyes, smiling. "Only if you keep deserving it, fool. Yes."

Crowd: "Awww!"

DJ: "And Prom King & Queen are… FEMI & KIKKY!"

FEMI & KIKKY danced. IFE dipped TEMI. DAVID & SOPHIA slow danced.

SOHEEH pulled TARA.

"Head Girl, can I have this dance without you investigating me?"

TARA took his hand. "Just this once. But if you step on my dress, you're under arrest."

They danced.

CHIKA recorded. "Look at God! From fake chats to slow dance. From Fikayo’s zobo to Femi’s crown. Bitter? The people we lost. Sweet? The people we kept."

MISS JUMMY grabbed the mic. "One more dance! Group photo! Everybody shout: WHAT ARE WE??"
