Students everywhere. Phones out. Prayers in the air.

CHIKA was vlogging. "Final episode, HDH fam! Waec results day. Fikayo’s dad? Arrested. Sefirah? Expelled. But the 8 stars? We’re still standing. Let’s check scores!"

OKIKI pushed through the crowd. "Comot! Make I see if I pass before my father pass me beating!"

TEMI screamed first. "7 A’s! Jesus did it! Holy Ghost success!"

IFE hugged her. "And small reading, babe. Small reading."

DAVID checked calmly. "8 A’s. 1 B."

SOPHIA jumped on him. "My genius! My B2 husband!"

KATE dragged OKIKI. "Okiki! 5 Credits! You passed! You won’t repeat!"

OKIKI raised his hands. "God is good! I’ll do thanksgiving with small stout."

FEMI looked at the board. "9 A’s." He nodded at KIKKY. "Head Boy delivered."

KIKKY kissed his cheek. "Head Boy and my whole heart."

TARA found her name. She exhaled. "9 A’s. Valedictorian."

She looked at SOHEEH. "You?"

SOHEEH grinned. "8 A’s, 1 C6. Chemistry. The irony. But we did it, Head Girl."

TARA smiled for real. First time since Act 1. "We did it, my idiot."

MISS JUMMY ran in screaming. "My babies! My entire class passed! No F9! I’m getting promoted! I’m getting married! I’m getting a new wig!"

The PRINCIPAL walked out, smiling small. "Hamshat Delight High: 100% pass rate. For the first time in 10 years. And zero expo. I’m… proud of you. All of you."

Students cheered. CHIKA wiped her eye.

"Bitter: The year we almost lost. Sweet: The year we won. Graduation next."
