EPISODE 5: Drama Night
The hall was full.
Parents. Teachers. Students. Phones out to record.
Tonight was Drama Night. Theme: BITTER SWEET
Backstage, The Stars were panicking.
"Tara you sure you can do this?" Kikky asked.
Tara took a deep breath. "After everything this week? I have to."
The rumors about the video almost got her removed as Head Girl.
But the Principal gave her one last chance. "Prove yourself tonight."
The curtain opened.
Act 1: BITTER
Femi played a student who got framed for expo.
David played the bully who planted it.
The audience went quiet. Some people were crying.
Act 2: SWEET
Sophia and Ife did a dance about friendship.
Temi sang. Okiki and Kate did spoken word:
We fall, we fight, we forgive. That’s what The Stars do.
Final Act: THE STARS
Tara walked on stage. Alone.
Spotlight on her.
She didn’t act. She talked.
"Final year is hard," she said. "People will lie about you. People will try to break you. They’ll post fake videos. They’ll put things in your bag. But you know what’s bitter sweet? Surviving it. With your people."
She looked straight at Fikayo in the audience.
"And to those who try to destroy others to feel big... we see you. And we’re still standing."
The hall erupted.
Standing ovation.
Tears.
"THE STARS! THE STARS!"
Soheeh was at the side of the stage, clapping with tears in his eyes.
After the show, the Principal hugged Tara.
"You reminded this school what leadership is. Your position is safe."
Fikayo stormed out.
His phone buzzed.
New message: Plan B failed too.
He looked up.
Tara and Soheeh were together, surrounded by The Stars.
Laughing.
Fikayo crushed his phone in his hand.
"Fine. Plan C."
