Sandra finally exhaled in relief, offering a faint smile to the newcomer at the door. "You must be the new teacher, Uncle Harmony. I'm Sandra."
With that, she sank back into her chair. "I've missed so much class time—the kids are probably way behind. Gotta buckle down now."
When afternoon classes ended, Sandra spotted her colleague Briseida heading out. She snapped her lesson planner shut and strode toward the exit. "Briseida! Wait up!"
Welby had been about to call out to her when Sandra suddenly darted after Briseida instead. His brow arched slightly as he stacked the assignments on his desk before following them out.
