Nineteen year old Raina Jones, is a brown haired game freak. She technically and literally plays all sorts of video games and ... she has never lost a single round... except for those stages which are unbeatable.  Everyone believes that she took her video game addiction from her dad who passed away two years back. Her dad who has always been fun of playing games was a renown video game producer. He developed two of the best games ever in that time but not long after the second video game development, something happened and he died. His death caused alot to the family that they lost affluence and a great part of their lives was gone. Raina's mom, who hasn't remarried ever since her husband died, has forbidden Raina who happens to be her only daughter and only child, never to get tangled in video games, as she believes her husband, Raina's dad, died because of video games. "I don't get it mom." Raina squealed. "Why do you think my dad died because of a video game?" Raina asked her mom who is busy walking about the kitchen in search of somethings. "Well that is because, it is the truth." Her mom will answer her, not minding Raina. "Your dad died because of video games." Her mom said. "And if you don't stop this silly addiction of yours to video games, then consider yourself the next to die." Her mom added. "Mom stop it ok. That's ridiculous." One thing about Raina is that she is straightforward. And when her heart is set out on something, nothing can change her mind. "My dad, your husband, died because he was murdered." Raina will say and smile in victory. Not because she is the murderer but because, she wants to get rid of her mom. Since her mom will get gloomy and all moody at the mention that her dear husband was murdered in cold blood.  The police ever since they started their investigation, hasn't had a lead in the case. Raina, unlike most teenagers in her present situation, doesn't want to get involve in her dad's murder case. But her mom, unlike her and like most teenagers is so much in the case. And it hurts her whenever she hears of how her husband died. "Believe me Victory, I know what I told her was offensive but seriously, someone needs to stop acting paranoid." Raina spoke in her room, with her eyes glued on her laptop.  Victory is her best friend and the only girl she has met that shares her passion for video games. The only difference she has with Victory is that Victory is a sassy introvert and her parents all share her joy as they have approved of her video games addiction.  Meanwhile Raina has been banned from playing video games and it isn't her passion to become a video game programmer just as her dad and Victory. She just has the special gift and addiction to video games that she can't tell... Raina got some noise from outside and Victory heard it too from her own end. "What was that?" Victory asked and Raina shrugged. "I have no idea. I guess my mom is back." "And the noise was this loud?" Victory asked "Well maybe she wants to make something to eat." Raina tried to defend. "Ok then. I can't wait to beat you in this game." Victory replied laughing hard. The game they were playing was an online video game. It was actually a mortal combat game and Raina was the lead role whilst Victory was her opponent. "Oh please! You and I know very well that I will keep beating you up, Agaya." Raina said stressing out the 'Agaya' and Victory scoffed. "Were you supposed to call me by my character name? Ok then Rumina." Victory said and they both laughed. "Seriously, they have awkward names these mortal combat characters." Victory said and they burst out into laughs. "Raina!" Raina's mom called. "I'll be back Vic, Mom's called." Raina said. "Then put the game on automatic play, dummy." Victory scoffed jokingly. "Well I guess I could let you win." Raina took off the huge headphones she was putting on, after setting the game to automatic play making Victory the main player, and went down stairs only to meet her mom with someone at whose sight, her countenance changed. "Mr McBerth, what are you doing here?" She asked not minding the nosy girl that was with him. "My darling, you don't have to be rude to our guest." Her mom said and she scoffed. "Guest!!" She exclaimed lackadaisical. "Oh please. This damn man is a zero guest here." She threw at her mom and turned to look at the man who just smiled..... "And why are you smiling at me Mr?" She asked him... "I think you've over stayed your bounds here. Now leave." She ordered but he just stood there and watch the teenager rant. "Don't push me to force you and that daughter of yours out." She spoke but yet he smiled. "Honey, he is not leaving. Not anytime sooner." Her mom swallowed hard before and after she finished the statement. "What in the levels are you talking about?" Raina asked and Mr McBerth cleared his throat making everyone turn their attention to him. "I'll be your new daddy from now." He said and his daughter scoffed loudly. Raina obviously shocked by his statement turned to her mom who just nodded in agreement. "I hate you mom" She said and left the place in anger. She ran to the door, took her overcoat that was hanging besides and went out of the house.  She was very angry and the only thing that could calm her down was a cyber. She definitely wasn't going to return home as she walked the streets with clenched fists and her teeth clenched as a result of the cold and anger that battles her. Her long silky brown hair was falling freely to her back. Her grey eyes turned all dark in anger... But.... What made her angry? Why was she angry with her mom? Who is Mr McBerth? What was intentions? Why was her mother uncomfortable? Why did she say Mr McBerth was a zero guest to their family? Everything we will find out as the story unfolds.
