"I'll stay." The words left my mouth before I could take as He simply studied me for a long moment, as though trying to decide whether I truly understood what I'd just agreed to. "So be it." Then he gave a single nod as his voice was as calm as ever. He walked past me without brushing my shoulder as he reached the chamber doors and slid the heavy iron bolt into place. The metallic click echoed through the room. My heartbeat stumbled as the sound shouldn't have frightened me but It did because locked doors meant there was only one way out now and that has to be through him. "The last chance has passed." He turned to face me. "I noticed." He didn't respond Instead, he removed the black leather gloves from his hands and placed them carefully on a nearby table. Couldn't he feel anything? The thought of what was about to happen didn't even bother him at all? I searched his face for fear, or doubt but nothing only those unreadable silver eyes. "You still have time to explain," I said unable to stop myself. "What exactly is this trial?" As I asked his gaze settled on me. "It ends one of two ways." "And those are?" I asked. "You walk out." He paused. "...or you don't." A chill climbed my spine. "That's not an explanation." "It's enough." Typical of him while folded my arms to stop him seeing my hands shake. "You really enjoy talking in riddles." "I enjoy saving myself much words as possible." I wanted to roll my eyes but fear didn’t permit me as my pulse kept climbing because despite the coldness in his voice, Despite the way he stood there like a man carved from stone. There was one thing he couldn't hide, His right hand was trembling and immediately he noticed where I was looking wthout a word, he closed his hand into a fist. "I'll ask once," he said, His voice was lower now. "Are you staying?" I stared at him. "If I say no now?" My voice barely obvious I was trembling in fear. "I open the door." "And if I say yes?" His jaw tightened almost imperceptibly. "Then the trial begins." My heart pounded against my ribs. This was madness. As my every instinct screamed at me to run but survival had never been the same as living If I walked away now. I'd spend the rest of my life wondering whether fear had made the choice for me. I lifted my chin. "I'm staying." For the first time since we'd met he closed his eyes as he exhaled slowly. "Do exactly as I tell you." His voice now clearly emotionless. He sounded as though he had rehearsed these words a hundred times before. He approached me as the distance between us shrank. My pulse hammered in my ears. He stopped close enough that I could hear his breathing. As his shoulders stiffened I could hear the breaking of his bones. Then a deep, unfamiliar growl rumbled from somewhere inside his chest loud and wild as he caged me against the wall. His eyes clearly filled with lust. “ Strip! Now!”
