Chapter 3.

Rosslyn moaned, got up from the piano bench, and headed for the stairs. "Yes, Rosslyn, they are why he went," I said to her. "At long last, you are waking up! Before Pete returns home tonight, I want to make all the necessary changes to his room. Place several lavender pots next to his bed—you know he adores the scent." Her eyes brightened with delight as she giggled to herself. "Well, Rosslyn, I said something, watched her go, and then I got up. I frantically combed through my hair before rushing to my room to dress before heading into work. Rosslyn sent me a white dress with flowers on it when I was about to give up after labouring for hours. It was not particularly noteworthy as she provided the identical attire for each employee. I was invited to assist in welcoming newcomers along with others as they began to arrive. My stomach was rumbling with hunger, but I knew it would get me into trouble, so I tried not to show it. A gasp echoed through the room and reached me. Everyone applauded and took pictures of Zane and Tyler's parents as they got out of the car. I continued peering over people's shoulders, praying that Pete, Zane, and Tyler would not show up, and it appeared that my wishes had come true because I was unable to see them. A tiny smile formed on my lips. "It appears that they have not yet gotten along. That brings me joy! I sincerely hope I never see them again."* Their parents and every other person in the crowd had sad expressions on them, and I could see it. Rosslyn was searching for him repeatedly, and I could see that her fingers were shaking. Putting his hands around her waist, the Alpha—Pete's father—assured her that everything would be alright. I could not help but smile at seeing everything. "I grinned to myself, thinking of how delighted Pete's mom looked, telling me to prepare for her son's return—lavender is his favourite." We all went inside because they did not appear. I heard the boom of cars entering the property just as I was going to close the door. Three separate luxury vehicles were operating inside. Many people gasped, and questions arose about who may have drove in. I was attracted even though my heart continued trying to deny what my mind was telling me. I The door opened slowly, and my eyes nearly burst out of their sockets when I saw the three males emerge from the pars. "No, this is not possible," I muttered, my hands hanging helplessly by my sides from the doorknob." I was seeing things at the time that I could not believe, so I shook my head gently. Pete, Zane, and Tyler could not possibly be here. Protection The three haughty individuals I detested the most could not possibly be in front of me, therefore I was positive I was not seeing things correctly! The roars and applause from the audience snapped me back to reality. I realised then that I was not dreaming or imagining anything since what I was witnessing was absolutely genuine.N Their expressions were so expressionless that I could tell they were still at odds with one another. With heads lowered in respect, all the girls approached them at a sedate pace. I was so stunned that I did not even realise I ought to lower my head in respect for them. All of the memories I had been attempting to push away suddenly returned, and the cruelty and violence with which they had treated nearly everyone made me feel as though I might have a panic attack. I covered my hands with my lips and felt like I was about to pass out from stomach pain and bile coming to my throat. I dashed inside and made my way straight to the toilet, where I puked. Relieved, I got up and ran to the washbasin to wash my hands, splattering water all over my face. I was going to duck my head and squirt water on my face once more when I glanced in the mirror. Y was exactly the same as the others. Nothing at all! My eyes looked like they had black circles under them. I believe that the gils who had earlier mistreated me were the reason for the open wound that appeared next to my eye. My brown hair was flowing over my shoulders, so I undid the band around my wrist and reached to put it into a huge, untidy bun. How depressing! When I stared at my depressed reflection in the mirror, this was all that came to mind. I let out a frustrated groan and made my way to the door. "All I can say is that I am hoping for success. I hope Pete has changed and that we do not cross paths tonight." I said a short prayer to the moon goddess. I told the head worker that I was not feeling well and that I wanted to spend the night in bed as I slowly made my way to the kitchen. Someone grabbed me by the wrist as soon as I arrived and thrust a tray straight into my hands. Avaria , you are aware that you should not be outside the house alone at night, do not you? Rosslyn would not let anything get in the way of her plans for this significant occasion. The head helper, Mrs. Cara, patted me on the back. "Nonetheless, I..." I hesitated. "With no buts!" She looked at me and sooke up. I grinned and ducked my head as I hurried to the hall where the guests were waiting. All across the room, one could hear the clinking of glasses and the conversation of the guests. The arrangement of the lighting made the hall look stunning in the classic sense. I searched everywhere for the three Alphas, but I was unable to locate them, so I swallowed the knot in my throat. I sighed with relief, thinking they might have moved on by now.N "Maybe they were just trying to entertain!" As I cheerfully and perhaps artificially smiled at the visitors while serving wine, I thought to myself. I gave the Rosslyn a huge smile and flashed my teeth when I noticed that she was staring at me. Once she averted her gaze from me, With a breath of relief, I turned to head back to the kitchen when I heard high heels clicking to a stop directly behind me. halted in my steps and pivoted to identify the person. Alongside her were Hailey, Brianria, and Ava. My heart raced with terror as soon as I spotted them, and I hastily lowered my head to avoid a scene.N I am glad to have you here. How may I assist you?" I shook the tray so tightly that I thought my veins would burst and my voice broke. They all smiled from the corner of their mouths as Ava shook her head and crossed her anns across her chest. If I am being really honest, I did not think I would see you today at all. I let you go today, and you were lucky. I would have had to deal with you a lot more if I hadn't." I gulped and tried to think before I spoke in order to avoid upsetting them to the point where something dramatic would occur. "I apologise for my escape. I apologise and promise not to do that again. They all clapped their hands simultaneously, still sporting that sly smirk, and the three of them laughed till they started weeping. Ava twisted her head to the left, scowling and wearing a dejected expression. "Are you aware of the thing I detest about you? My head sunk at the sound of "I detest that you are saying sorry to me!" I had no idea what to say. "I am sorry!" She chuckled and moved slowly in my direction until we were practically standing next to each other. "You are feeling down? Again! ' HAM....." I was about to say something when she slapped me across the face. The wine glasses shattered into pieces when the trays that it was holding plummeted to the floor. My eyes grew wide as I realised I was going to die! My body would erupt with pain from the Rosslyn for the rest of my existence. I immediately dropped to my knees and began gathering up the broken glass that was all over the floor when I noticed a glint of rage in her eyes. Even though tears were pooling behind my eyes, I cried, "I am very sorry, please keep the party going," aloud for everyone to hear. I started to get to my feet, but Renelope and her supporters shoved me down, causing me to fall face-first onto the pavement, the glass fragments in my hands severing my palms. "Ugh."
