Kiara's pov
After coming back from practice, I was hardly able to stand. And I was also worried about the tutor thing. Finally I entered in the house and Bella told me that our tutor is waiting for us in the living room. I went towards the living room fully drenched in sweat and with some mud on my face coz I hugged mother earth quite a few times while doing pushups. But Atharv said that he'll meet him during dinner. He was looking quite young, around 21 or 22 years old, dark brown hair and cold blue eyes. Totally handsome, if you ask me but I wasn't thinking of him in that way.
"Hello Kiara." He said.
"Hi." I replied in a sassy tone.
"As you know, I'm here to help you with your academics subject and assist you in your daily life in every possible way." He stated.
"I don't want or need your help. And I don't like you intruding in my life either."
"That's ok kia, you don't have to like me."
"Good then leave." I ordered.
"Well kia, I am afraid I can't do that. You don't have to like me but I am going to be here, to get you understanding in every topic. All you have to do is understand me and if you can't, then I'll try another method to make you understand." He said
What part of 'I don't want or need your help' and 'I don't like you intruding on my life either' he doesn't understand? It's plain English for God's sake.
"Kiara, I am here only to help you. I am more like a caretaker rather than a tutor. Since your dad will not be home for the next month. He'll be super busy." He continued.
Whatever you i***t!
"You know you're just wasting your time here, I really don't want your help with anything, and I don't need any one tutoring me, I can do better without any interference." I said. "Why do you do this anyway?"
"I just do it because I feel like sometimes kids need proper direction and if given, they can do better. There are negative and positive things out there to influence you, and everyone knows it's hard to fight negativity. I want them to go for positivity." He replied.
"You know your dad cares for you. He's so much worried about your carrier and future."
"I know that." I replied with a little anger behind my voice. "And won't you tattle everything to my dad like every other tutor?"
"I won't tattle you, to your dad kia. Whatever you say or do, stays between us. You can trust me with it, I promise."
"Fine. I am going to grab some sandwich. Wanna come?"
"No. I am fine."
"Ok. Cool then. Wait, Mr Richard, what's my assignment?"
"First, you can call me Paul. I am ok with it. And second, it's not the end of your life, so don't say it like it is." He scolded. "Try it again."
Wow what a change in his tone. It sort of caught me off the guard, even scared me a little. His voice was authoritative when he wanted it to be.
"What do you want me to do today Paul?" I asked in a much nicer tone.
"That's much better." He stated.
"I want you to think about how today made you feel? How you felt this morning as opposed to how you feel now. Remember one thing Kiara, Truth and trust are most important. Every action has equal and opposite reaction. So be honest and respect me, I'll give you the same in return." He said.
I wasn't dumb. I knew he was saying all that for my benefit. He patted me on the head and asked me to take a shower first and then eat.
That night I sat on the table for dinner. There were I and dad only. Atharv and Paul were yet to come. He asked me about how things went with Paul today and I acted like I was unhappy being forced to endure such a terrible invasion of my privacy. That night I went to bed early cause I wanted to think. Not about what I was told to think about, because all I could think about was how weird it was to have such a cute dude interested in me. I actually felt good when I was with Paul. It was nothing like the feeling that I had when I was with or around Mr Khanna. I was really thankful that he went, otherwise I wouldn't have met such a nice and selfless soul like Paul. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

After 2 weeks (When the break is over)
These 2 weeks were like hell. I never thought I could hate holidays ever. But see, now I do and that also with all your might. Things went pretty good with Paul. But with my coaches, nopes. They made me run non-stop for miles, crunches, pushups, sit-ups, and what not. Level of Atharv's training was even higher.
Today was the first day of school after the break and then I suddenly remembered that today reshuffling has been done and I will be taught by headmaster himself. I just had one wish now. I just wanted my best friend Sanaya to be in my class too.
I reached the school on time and went towards the assembly hall. Usually, I always skip assembly, but today was different. Headmaster will address the students today and tell about the new school plans and the reshuffling thing. I looked for Sanaya and finally found her. We sat together and started talking.
Suddenly, everyone hushed and stood up in unison. In confusion, I followed. I realised it was because Headmaster had walked onto the stage and was headed towards the podium.
"Sit." Headmaster's voice boomed through the hall. I stole a quick glance at him and took a quick breath. His face was stern and harsh, his eyes unforgiving as he scanned the hall. He looked frightening. Tall and muscular as his grey three piece suit wrapped around his body, tailored to him perfectly. He was severe but very handsome at the same point.
He introduced himself as the new headmaster of the school. Yes he joined only a week before the break. And probably he wanted some change in the functioning of the system, such as the reshuffling of classes on academic basis. He hadn't had any official meeting with the students. I assumed this on to be it.
We were to address him as Headmaster or Headmaster Pierce. He laid down the rules which consisted of complete and utter obedience to him and his commands unless we wanted severe consequences and punishments. He then continued on to talk about the week's events. I gradually zoned out and started looking around.
"Why is he exaggerating things like obedience and all so much. He can literally conclude it in one line only that we need to treat him and every other person who has authority over us as if they are God." Sanaya whispered to me, giggling softly. I bent my head down to reply and we chatted for a minute before returning our attention back to headmaster.
As I lifted my head, I found Headmaster had narrowed his eyes at me, no doubt seeing Sanaya and I chatting and not paying attention. I quickly looked away from his gaze and hoped he would not mind it and just ignore it, and for the rest of the session I held my tongue and tried my best to concentrate.
