Ch-7 The Prank

Kiara's pov

We reached home at 6:00pm after Coach K dismissed us at 5:30. We were welcomed by Mr Khanna 'Sir'. He was standing on the door angrily and it seems that he had been waiting for us.

"Welcome back Kids!" He said sarcastically.

"Care to explain where you both were. I had been waiting for you like 2 hours. And why your clothes are covered in mud Kiara? Did you fall? Are you alright?" He bombarded us with questions.

"Sir we were in the school itself. We were umm practicing for the nationals which are in the next month."

"So why didn't you inform me? Do you have any idea how worried I was!!?"

"Sir Coach told us that he had already taken permission from father."

"Taking permission from your father and informing your tutor are two different things. You could just have messaged me. That's so irresponsible of you!"

"Sorry Sir. We just forgot that We Had A Tutor. U'know we'll need some time to get used to it."

"Alright. I'll let this one slide."

"You have roughly like 30 mins. Take a bath and put something in your stomach. Then we'll start with your studies. Meet me in the library when you are done. I'll be giving your lessons there. And hurry up."

With that we both went to our rooms and took a quick shower in 5 mins. Then we grabbed some snacks and sat on the dining table. I was the first to break the silence.

"Bro I'm tired of this tutor thing. Why can't we just schedule our studies our own way?!!"

"I also don't want anyone to babysit me and aid me in studies. I'm doing well on my own!!"

"Hey! I've an idea Atharv. Why don't we prank him and just make him leave just like we did with the last ones!!? How does that sound!!?

"Yeah that does sound good, but are you sure He'll leave? I mean he looks like a hardass. I don't think it will be that easy to make him leave."

"I don't know. But let me give it a try." I started walking to my room after saying this. I still had 20 mins before going to library for my 'tutoring sessions'.

"Where are you going kia? And what's up in your mind? Just let me know. I don't want you in trouble! And atleast finish your food."

"You just watch bro. And I'll finish the food later. I don't have time now."

At 7:30

Atharv's pov

I took my study material along with my today's homework and headed to library. Kiara was nowhere to be seen there. Mr Khanna was sitting on a chair and gestured me to sit beside him.

I was hardly seated when I heard a scream. It was Kiara's voice. It means she was hurt. I knew it she will definitely mess up and trouble herself. I got up and ran towards her. But-

"You stay here and continue on your work. I'll go and check on her." Mr Khanna said.

"Sir, But-"

"No buts.." With that he headed towards Kiara's room. I too followed him and ignored his warnings.

As he opened Kiara's room, my eyes went wide open in shock and after a few moments I heard Kiara laughing and seeing Mr Khanna's state I too joined her in the laughter.

She had done an arrangement with the help of a pulley and had put a bucket of 'Dirty Water' over the space above the door. The bucket was connected to the pulley with the help of a rope to the pulley such that it will unload all of its content on whosoever opens the door. Thank God! Mr Khanna stopped me and it was not me who opened the door!"

"KIARAAA!" Mr Khanna yelled drenched in a bucket of water. I mean dirty water.

I was thrilled by kia's prank. She then made an innocent face. I was enjoying all this.

"Why the hell did you do this!!?"

"It's very simple Mr Khanna. I hate you and I don't want any babysitter or tutor. I want you to leave."

"If it is so then let me make one thing very clear to you. I.Am.Not.Leaving."

"Now move your smartass to the library with all your study stuff unless you want to be in any more trouble than you already are. I'll be there in 5. And I want to see you properly seated and studying like a good girl. Now Move."

Kiara's pov

I was a bit scared by the look Mr Khanna was giving me. At the back I saw Atharv laughing uncontrollably. Thank god it was not Atharv who opened the door. Otherwise my plan would have backfired me.

I was worried about what he would do to me!

Then he asked me go to library with my stuff. I obediently followed.

After 5ish minutes he came back to the library. He's a man of his words. He then started teaching without wasting any time. He alternately checked on me and Atharv. He helped us with the topics we didn't understand.

At 9:00 Dad was back home. He came once to the library to check on us. Then he went back to his room to freshen up.

At 9:30, he called us for the dinner. Mr Khanna then gave us a break for half an hour for dinner. I was scared because Mr Khanna hadn't said a word about the evening incident to me. What if he's planning to bring it in front of dad? Oh no!! If that happens then I'm screwed. Please Save Me God.

We sat at our respective chairs in the dining hall and Dad was the first to break the silence.

"I'm sorry Mr Khanna. I forgot to tell you that the kids were staying in the school for a bit longer. I received a call from their teacher. I was busy in a meeting and it just slipped from my mind to inform you."

"It's OK Mr Agnihotri. I understand."

"Thank you. By the way, how was your first day tutoring the day? Were they well-behaved?" Dad asked

I was frightened. What if sir brings out the truth what happened today! I could sense that Atharv too was a bit tensed!

"Actually I forgot to bring it in front of you. I had hired some more tutors before. But both of them were successful in pranking them amd making them run away. I just hope they didn't do any such thing with you and You too won't run away just like the others did!"

"No no Mr Agnihotri. They didn't do anything with me. And the day was pretty fine. Thank you for asking."

Thank God! He didn't say anything to Dad.

"Ok. And kids I warn you not to do any such thing."

"Yes dad." Both of us said in a dull voice while eating. Mr Khanna smirked.

"And Mr Khanna, I've no problem with you handling the children your own way. You know I too have allowed the tutors to punish them just coz of their sick pranks! And please let me know if any such thing happens."

"Don't worry Mr Agnihotri. I'll handle everything."

After this small discussion we finished with our dinner and headed back to library and resumed working.

Time skip. 11:00pm-

"Sir our work is done now. Can we go back to our rooms?" I asked.

"No." He replied.

"I'm not done with you yet, for your little prank. Remember?? I waited for you to complete your work because study has always been my first priority."

Now, I was scared.

"Kiara, I want you to be in my study room in 3 minutes. If you take a single second more, then I'll increase your punishment. And Atharv I also want that you too come in the study. I know you were not involved in the prank, but I want you to see your sister getting punished so that you don't ever think of doing such silly things."

Both of us hurried to the Study Room.

Mr Khanna too came.

"Ok. So Punishment Time."
