Ch-9 The Revenge

The Next Morning:

KIARA'S POV

I woke up and went for the morning workouts with dad and Atharv as usual. But I could not run like usual. My ass hurted a lot. It hurt even while walking. Dad was even suspicious of what happened to me but I managed the situation by saying that it's just because of the cramps due to the practice with Mr K. When we reached back home, then dad told us that today was an off for school.

"Last night I received a message from your school. Due to some unexpected emergency, school is off today."

Thank god it's an off today. Maybe I'll get some time to relax. My ass would have hurt a lot if I had to sit on the wooden desks the entire day.

"Both of you are drenched in sweat. Take a bath and join me for breakfast after half an hour."

"Yes Dad." We said in unison.

Dad went to his room to take a shower and I also left. But Atharv went straight to the dining hall. What's wrong with him! He also was not in a very good mood this morning. I guess he was startled by something. Anyways I went to take a bath.

I came back after 25 minutes and to my surprise Atharv was already sitting on his chair. Usually he comes 5-10 mins late. Something is really wrong with him today. Dad too arrived and he was also shocked to see Atharv.

"Glad to see that you are on time Atharv!!!" He commented.

"Umm.. Actually I have to work on a presentation dad. So that's why I'm in a jiffy. And a bit tensed too."

"Ok!"

Mr Khanna also comes and he sits on his usual chair and starts the breakfast without really talking anything. At the same time, Atharv had a smirk on his face but that was soon wiped off when Mr Khanna spoke.

"Atharv I've heard that it's an off today for school. So I've planned on taking a surprise test for you. It will be from the chapters that you've studied in school this year. From this I'll get a rough idea that how much effort I need to put on you."

"Yes Sir." And Kiara same thing goes for you too but I'll prefer a viva for you. Am I Clear?

"Yes Sir." There goes my happiness.

"Good."

"That'd be a great idea Mr Khanna. I want you to update me with the results too."

"For sure Mr Agnihotri."

By the time this small talk ended, we all had finished our breakfast and everybody stood up BUT I guess Mr Khanna was a bit uncomfortable! And Atharv was looking at Mr Khanna from the corner of his eye and was giggling silently. Something was wrong. My trouble angels told me something is definitely wrong!!!

5 minutes later Dad came back with his MacBook and headed towards the office but stopped in the dining hall. I guess he also sensed that Mr Khanna was a bit uncomfortable.

"Are you alright Mr Khanna?"

"Umm... I guess... Something is wrong. I am not able to get up from this chair. It seems like I am sticked to it." Mr Khanna told.

"WHAT!!!" Dad blurted out.

And Now I Understand What's Going On!!! Today Atharv was already sitting in his chair when I came. So probably this was done by him. A PRANK!!! Great. Just what I wanted... (See the sarcasm, since I was very sore from yesterday's s******g. SO I couldn't even think of pulling it.)

Atharv tried to control his laughter but apparently he could not. So he asked dad to excuse him.

"Uh Dad I have a lot of homework pending. So Excuse me, I'll be going to my room." He got up from his chair but soon stopped in his tracks by Dad's deadly voice.

"How come Atharv you have incomplete homework? You got to know that the school was off this morning only. And as far as I remember you have already completed it last night."

"Ugh.. Yes Dad. Apparently I did that. But now I was talking about the test that Mr Khanna announced today." With these words he tried to excuse himself but again to be stopped by dad.

"WAIT!!! Atharv, do you really think it's Funny?"

"WHAT DAD??" He asked acting like completely unaware of the situation.

"Don't play dumb with me Atharv. Since the morning, I noticed you were smirking and even I found you giggling during the breakfast. So was it the reason? Did you pranked Mr Khanna?"

"No Dad!!! What are you talking about? I was giggling just because I was happy that the school was off. I was literally very tired this week." He tried to sound realistic.

Then Dad took out his phone and told his Personal Assistant Serena to call off all the meetings he had today and further informed her that he'll not be coming to office today due to an unexpected emergency. He also told her about some of the important files that she needs to complete by today.

I gulped as he hanged up the phone. Dad took an off, this was definitely not a good sign. And worst of all that he looked pretty pissed. Atharv was Gone. He'll soon be dead!!!

He shot a deadly glare to Atharv and again dialled another number. I wondered of whom it was...!!!

"Umm... Hi Jason. How're you doing?" Dad said on the call. So he was calling to one of his friends.

"Yeah. I'm sorry I'm calling you after a long time. But I need your help. Please be at my place at the earliest you can. It's an emergency."

"No get as soon as possible. I'll explain that to you when you show up."

.

"Yeah. Thanks. Bye."

"Atharv Now tell me how this all happened. And to be more precise, tell me why did this happen?" Now Atharv can be clearly seen panicking.

"Dad I swear I don't know anything about it. How did it happen!!?"

"Well then, if that's what you choose, then (he then turned towards Mr Khanna) Mr Khanna please excuse us for a moment. And one of my friends Jason will be here shortly. I've asked him to help to get you free from this chair with the help of some chemicals that will degrade the sticking effect of this gum."

Then he turned towards Atharv and motioned him to move towards his study room. Atharv reluctantly moved.

After like 15 minutes Jason arrived to our place.

"Hi Kiara. How've you been? It's a long time when I last saw you." Jason said.

"Hi uncle. It's nice to see you again."

"I got the message from Shlok. Now tell me where is Mr Khanna, so I can fix all the mess you have created." He chuckled.

"This way, Uncle." I guided.

Then he made my tutor free from that chair and finally Mr Khanna sighed in relief but in a displeased look.

"Thank you Jason. Thanks a lot." Mr Khanna said.

"Anytime Mr Khanna."

"Oh, please call me Sanjeev."

"No problem." Then he turned towards me.

"Kiara where is Shlok?" He asked.

"Ugh. Dad is in his study with Atharv."

"Oh. Then it may take a while. But I've an urgent meeting so I'm in a hurry." He bade goodbye to me and Mr Khanna.

I was worried about Atharv. How will he be facing Dad's wrath! But somewhere in the back of my mind I had a pleasing thought. I felt happy with this stupid prank. Mr Khanna's face was adorable at that moment when he was sticked to that chair. WELL DONE ATHARV!!!

I was startled by Mr Khanna's voice who asked me to go to my room.

I know 99.99% of you skip this Author's note. But still, how was the update? Next chapter will be in Atharv's pov. I hope I don't wait you long.

And Mr Khanna will quit soon and then Shlok will have to hire another tutor for the kids.
