Reine’s POV
I could only watch with my open mouth as he disappeared inside without so much as a look at me.
Wow! So, this is going to be my life from now on?! Kill me now!
It was intolerably cold into the hallway. The cold floor didn’t help either. I scooted to the nearest wall and kept my head down. I cried and cried until I had no more tears left to shed. Eventually, I dozed off into the cold hallway.
“Wake up! Reine!” I heard someone say and I scurried on my feet, alarmed.
Arles was staring down at me with frown on his face. I shifted away from him. No one here was trustworthy I was not going to commit a mistake of trusting someone again.
“stay away from me.” I warned arles. I was ready to run in case he tried something funny.
