Reine’s POV
I had a pile of doubts in my mind and a lot of unanswered questions. I lay down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.
I was walking on an ashy path, fog thick around me. Not a thing was visible yet I knew exactly where to go. Never had I visited this place, yet it seemed familiar.
My feet were swollen since I was barefooted yet there was no pain. I had no thoughts in my mind, just a sense of direction. Suddenly, I felt like I was being followed. Freezing in my tracks, I looked back to see no one. Biting my lip, I looked ahead to find the same man from my dreams standing awfully close to me, staring at me with a piercing gaze.
A startled gasp left my mouth, and I staggered back, not expecting someone to be in my face.
