Reine’s POV
The day was here, it was finally the execution day and I woke up an entire zoo stampeding my stomach. Demetrious had been long gone before I even woke up and I woke up f*****g early today but I still somehow missed him.
I did my morning routine and sat on bed, thinking. I really didn’t want to go and at this point I was finding a way to tell Demetrious. I knew he was not gonna force me but I knew if said no it was gonna make him upset.
The execution was set in noon that means everyone would leave after lunch in the city. I haven’t seen odious or arles, they usually are around but I guess everyone was busy preparing for the execution like it was some kind of a festival. It left bad taste in my mouth, I felt like my saliva glands were acting up.
