Reine’s POV
Hastily, I changed into a normal jean and t-shirt, and a jack. I put on my sports shoes. Tying my hair up in the messy bun, I ran down. I took a flashlight with me. Thankfully, aunt’s car was still in the driveway. I got in and sped of in the direction of the Seneca creek park.
It was night by the time I got there, no one was around and the air was chilly. I hugged the jacket to myself. I felt that weird feeling in my chest grow stronger. I gripped my flashlight and locked the car.
Hugging my jacket close to me, I walked through the park, it was difficult to get the right directions in the dark, but thanks to my good sense of direction, I didn’t get lost. After a thirty-five-minute walk, I was standing on the stone I fell from.
My nerves came to life and I was suddenly terrified and nervous. The leaved crunched loudly beneath my feet as I walked forward slowly, approaching the small gap that leaf to that place.
Taking a huge breath, I began to slide inside.
“f*****g hell.” I whispered as I squeezed through the narrow gap. “How did I manage to get in through this earlier?”
The rock literally scraped against my chest and back. Slowly sliding further, I finally reached to the end. I literally fell down on the floor as I breathed heavily, finally my chest free from the pressure of being squished.
The cave was as dark as ever. I pulled out my flashlight and looked around, flashing my light all around the space. The previous silence was present, I heard water dripping in the distance. Inhaling nervously, I got up and dusted myself.
I had expected that man to be here, or suddenly come at me as soon as I got in, but none of that happened. I stepped ahead slowly, memorizing the path that goes further in. my shoes made noises on the stony path as I walked further inside.
My flashlight was the only source of light inside the cave. The air pressure was heavy too, I had difficulties breathing. Breathing heavily, I walked ahead.
“I knew you would come.” A voice rasped from behind.
I screamed loudly and jumped to the side. A dark chuckle came from the back.
I whipped around to look at the man covered in shadow, his eyes glowing bright red. A gasp left my mouth and I stumbled back. How f*****g stupid was I to come back here?!
“Stay there.” I said quickly and he again obliged, his eyes flashing red.
I slowly lifted my flashlight, from his naked legs to his naked, buff chest. The man’s eyes trailed on the flash as it came closer to his face, his eyes stared at me. My hands shook as I finally saw his place, smooth, unusually fair skin. Finally, I saw his plump, red lips and his chiselled jaw. His lips curled into a devious smile and I stepped back.
I stumbled back unconsciously, not able to handle his inhumane looks. He looked like someone from a mystical tale, a mythical creature in human form. No human had skin paler like that, white as paper, he was too perfect to be human.
The man stepped closer and I felt like cold breeze flew past me swiftly. No word came out of my mouth, I simply stared at him with my jaw all over the floor.
I had to look up to be able to see his face. He towered upon me by a good foot. How f*****g tall was he? Seven feet?!
“I…I need to go.” I said and tried to slither past him.
He gripped my hand and I hissed. What the f**k was that? His hand felt like dry ice. Who has temperature that low?!
The man frowned, looking at his hand and then looked at me repeatedly.
I slowly backed away. “Do not follow me.” I spoke.
Why the hell do I have to make such risky decisions?!
“Wait.” The man said.
I halted and looked at him with wide eyes. “What?”
“Take me with you.” He said.
I looked at him like he has finally lost it. “Yea, not happening.” I said and turned around, walking ahead with my heart thudding.
In flash, I was pinned to the wall, his cold touch all over me. I grunted loudly, oddly feeling the cold pleasing. The man peered down at me with his sharp eyes as his fingers dug into my shoulder. He leaned into my neck and licked the skin, feeling the chills running through my body.
Pulling back, he rubbed my lips with his fingers. I ran my tongue on my lips, his eyes following the movement. Tasting the vile metallic taste, I snapped out of whatever trance I was.
“What the f**k?!” I moaned. “don’t touch me.”
The man smirked and slowly backed away into the darkness, away from my torch.
Taking few deep breaths, I left the cave. Inhaling the fresh night air never felt so refreshing. I vowed to myself that I am never coming back here, something about that man feels terribly wrong, yet somehow, I convinced myself to come back here again. Shaking my head, I decided to leave but somehow my feet wont move. Again, I felt that pull, stronger than ever.
“What the hell?” I muttered. “What is wrong with me??!”
I sat down near the rock, for what I don’t know but I didn’t want to go back in there and I didn’t want to leave either. It was like something would not let me leave.
After twenty minutes, I sighed heavily and got up, dusting myself. “I am so going to regret this.” I said to myself and slithered through the rocks again. With the amount of times, I was going in and out, my chest was going to flatten soon.
I exhaled as I got in again.
“Took you long enough.” The same deep voice said out of nowhere making me scream.
“f*****g hell, do not scare me like that, I could have died.” I scowled, flashing my light on his brilliant green eyes which flashed brighter under the light. Odd.
I narrowed my eyes at him. “How did you know I was coming back?” I asked hesitantly.
He smirked but didn’t answer.
