Haidar scrunched his face at the two girls that approached him, Halima and her handbag Hafsy. Halima was Haidars ex girlfriend and their relationship ended on everything but good terms,it was a toxic relationship and everyone was happy when it finally ended. Everyone but Halima.
Haidar was a very good looking guy who got a lot of attention from the ladies, he was a known player and even though the girls knew no one could take Halimas place they still threw themselves at him. Halima was a beautiful petite girl who had the ego of a beauty queen and the attitude of a pompous celebrity, she mingled with only the rich folk and despised anything that would come between her and Haidar. The couple split up when Halima tried to choke a girl who liked Haidar and after the breakup she remained the jealous ex who knew everything about the girls who got too close to Haidar and would do almost anything to keep them away.
"Alee" she squealed whilst swirling her key holder around her index finger.
"Halima" Haidar took a few steps back, increasing the space between them. She crossed her arms against her chest as a frown captured her lips.
"Why haven't you been picking my calls?"
"Because I don't really have anything to say to you"
"And what if I have something to say to you?"
"What do you want Halima?"
"I heard Zarah Sahabi has been clinging onto you and I want to know what's going on between the both of you"
"I don't owe you any explanation"
"Well I just wanted to tell you to be careful I heard she made her bodyguard beat up some girls who tried to talk to her" Halimas words made Haidar look at her in disgust, he hissed and shoved her to the side to clear his path. He had started walking away but stopped in his tracks and turned back to face her "If you even try to circulate this false story of yours Halima Wallahi I'll deal with you" he snapped his fingers, turned around and walked away leaving Hafsy's mouth agape and Halima shaken to the bone. One thing was for sure, Halima was terrified of Haidars wrath.

Sahabi watched as the President paced to and fro in front of them with his hands held behind him. "So you're telling me a bunch of wildlings attacked you and made away with two hundred million naira" The president raised two fingers up as he addressed two suited men and three police officers, they all had their heads down as they made mental notes on how to make him believe their story. They had all received bribes from the opposing party and decided to share the campaign money they were transporting amongst themselves "Now listen and listen good, I want the five of you to bring out that money or else you will all end up in jail. Leave at once" The president exclaimed and the five men scurried out of the office.
The president continued muttering to himself in annoyance as he lumped on a chair next to Sahabi.
"Give them time to think about what they've done. Don't make decisions in anger, you'll surely regret" Sahabi said with his usual calmness.
"so you want me to let them go after they made away with two hundred million naira, your campaign funds? I am sorry but I will not let this insolence go scot free"
"I believe in justice so yes when you do your investigation and find them guilty by all means prosecute them but not before then. About the money, I never really wanted spending that amount on campaigning when there are people out there who cant even secure a days meal. Why waste so much on getting already gotten attention, we own this country. You have the people's hearts and I know they would want to vote anyone who you tell them to so what are we really campaigning for?"
"But you do know you must visit the thirty six states"
"I will but there's no extravaganza needed. We take at most ten people with us and our members in each state will join us there. When you complete your investigation have a little mercy on them, I know they are guilty but believe me, they need that money more than we do"

Zahra clutched onto her stomach in laughter nearly throwing down the laptop placed on her laps. She looked back at the screen to see Fadil shooting death glares at Fadila who was on a mission to make him look stupid before Zahra "Did I forget to mention that my lovely brother now has a girl-" both Zahra and Fadila screamed as Fadil playfully chocked Fadila, Zahra was busy laughing at the two as she watched them display their usual madness. Fadil finally let go of his sisters neck while Fadila struggled to catch her breath "What was that for?" she said in between pants "I was only letting her know that you have a girl-" not letting her complete her sentence, Fadil launched himself at her "Sorry sorry" she surrendered and turned her attention back to the screen where she saw Zahra busy laughing "So you couldn't even stop him? Zahra you were going to let him kill me!"
Zahra rolled her eyes "Oh please. We both know if anyone is going to kill you its me" Fadila gasped "Now I know my haters, its okay. Where's yaya?" she smiled.
"He's out with some friends"
"Send my regards to him. Tell him I love him without the last part though" Zahra shook her head at Fadila, she still couldn't believe her best friend had a crush on her brother who was ten years older than them. Her phone vibrated beside her, she quickly checked to view the message from Haidar notifying her of his presence out in the parking area.
"I have to go guys, school" she lied.
"School on a Saturday?" Fadil corked an eyebrow at her.
"Zahraaaaaa?" Fadila teased.
She giggled "Yes. I love you guys bye" She shut the laptop and quickly threw on her veil. She had already asked permission from Mami and since Abba wasn't around she was good to go. She found Andrew seating outside talking with some of the other employees and jogged to where they were standing "We're going out" she grinned.
"Okay little one, where to?"
"I don't know"
"Zahra, we have to know our destination before leaving the house" she looked at the faces staring at her and dragged Andrew a few centimeters away and whispered into his ear "I'm going out with a friend and I don't know where he's taking me"
"Well why don't you ask him?"
"It's meant to be a surprise"
"One minute" Andrew walked over to Haidar who was now leaning on the door of his car, they shared a short handshake and exchanged pleasantries. Of all the bodyguards working for Sahabi, Andrew was the most cheerful, most understanding, most experienced and the strongest.
"Where is our destination?" Andrew asked.
"We're supposed to go watch a movie at silverbird"
"I asked where not what you're doing"
"Oh it uhm at Jabi lake mall" Haidars shaky voice replied. Andrew nodded and gestured for him to move to the black SUV Zahra was now seated at the back of. He locked his car, pocketed his key and walked to the car. Zahra mouthed a sorry when he was safely seated next to her in the car. He smiled, leaned closer to her ear and whispered
"That man almost made me pee my pants"
